He cursed the butterflies in his stomach as they rioted at the second kiss, feeling like his ears were burning. RuiZhi was terribly fond of Scyeth, watching the play of thought and emotion of the blonde's face with open fascination. He'd never dreamed that he'd have a boyfriend...or anyone at all, really, by age fourteen. Hormones were such a strange and fickle thing.
As the Aussie sat up, so did he, wrapping his arms around the other's waist and nestling against Scyeth's chest. Seeing as his boyfriend was naturally taller than him, and now straddling him, the chest was about all he could reach; he placed a gentle kiss there, resting against his special one. Had he been less naive, he probably would have spontaneously combusted from embarrassment.
"As long as you know," he murmured softly, cheeks still bright. "So that...hopefully you wont forget." RuiZhi paused, thoughtful, before asking, "Do you really want to know what it says?" He'd wanted to play and make Scyeth wait, but, in this case...it might help, if he knew what it said, and what it meant to him.

Scyeth never really thought much about the things he did. Didn't think hard on snuggling. Kissing. Generally taking up RuiZhi's free time and his lap without ever asking. If he did ponder, it'd probably freak him out a little. He had never pictured this for himself. Oh, he didn't have a problem with this sort of thing. He just never, ever imagined it.
His father probably wouldn't approve, now that he actually was thinking about it, and-
...oh.
It was much easier to not think. To just let this be. He rocked back, trying to make it easier for the Chinese student to sit as he wrapped an arm around the other boy and held him close. The blond leaned forward, pressing a check against the top of RuiZhi's head, and nuzzled his hair, inhaling deeply. Yes. It was much, much, much easier to just...not think about it. Yes. He could so easily let it be.
"...yeah. Tell me. Please?"

"Mmn." He leaned trustingly on the blonde as the other arched back a bit, his eyes shifting to watch as the stone from the necklace settled in the hollow of Scyeth's throat. Lifting a hand from the Aussie's back, he ran one thumb over the engraved toothy charm, over the ridges against the smooth stone.
How to explain it? RuiZhi knew without a shadow of a doubt what he was thinking when he carved it, what it meant to him. He knew now, but he was unsure how to voice it, or if he should voice it at all. He supposed he should start with the meaning of the characters, and let the rest fall into place from there. Made sense, didn't it? He was a logical sort, just not when it came to things that were so...not text-book orientated.

Looking at the symbol, he remained nestled beneath Scyeth's chin, feeling at ease and peaceful. He wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Even knowing the Aussie was not human...well. It didn't bother RuiZhi. It'd be wrong to say that he didn't care, because he did, but it didn't change his opinion of Scyeth as a living, breathing being. His feelings still prevailed, and he still had a strong sense of wanting to be near the other. Of wanting to build something greater...
"It means 'together,'" he said softly, the arm around Scyeth's back tightening affectionately. There didn't seem to be anything else to say at that moment; that one word said it all.

"...oh."
Scyeth shifted slowly, trying to get more comfortable without disturbing the other youth too much. His smile was small as he closed his eyes, but it was something most fitting for the situation. Not overbearing or cheesy, just...there. It was as it was. He was happy, very happy, and nothing could take that away. No one could take RuiZhi away.
The youth sighed softly and settled, curled around the other student. This was perfect. They were perfect.
...he was perfect, too.
