Istalindir paused mid stride, one fore hoof poised over the ground, before gently lowering the remanding distance. His head swiveled around even as his ears flickered towards the voices. Eyes that seemed to shift between Gold and Green slid over to Lughnasadh's form, then to Ash. The foggy glaze of remembrance quickly burned away.
"Well met young ones." He said, bobbing his head in greeting, "Praise to the one whom offers his home to a stranger. I am Istalindir, but please, call me Ista. I know my name can become quite a mouthful." In the light his pale green stripes seemed bleached against his stark white coat, and the blue of his mane and tail seemed to shine brightly.
"Don't mind me, a wander shall never grant himself hearth and home if he first does not quench his thirst for the land." He tilted his head to one side before walking a bit closer to the two of them. "You are both Star Born, are you not?" He asked, mindful to keep his voice gentle. If they held sorrows such as his own, he didn't want them to awaken like his own did on a daily basis.

Lughnasadh said gently, "This is not my home, although it is very beautiful. I, too, am something of a wanderer, though I am one seeking a place to call my own and live among other Stars, no matter their shape, color, or gender." Lughnasadh saw something troubling in the stallion's eyes, and said gently, "Something is troubling you, Ista. What is it, if I may be so bold?"

"I am Star born, but I fell so long ago I hardly think about it anymore. " Ash looked up at the sky thinking to herself 'were more to fall, It's been such a long time'
She lowered her head meeting the soft shimmering eyes of Istalindir "I am Ash, and if you are new to these parts I'll be happy to show you around if you ever are in need of a guide." She had never seen eyes like his, they almost seemed like glimmering gems.
Then she looked to Lughnasadh as he spoke, adding "If it is a private matter, there is no need to feel any pressure to tell us. But it was hard not to noticed how distressed you looked coming from the woods. If we can help in anyway we just want you to know we will."

"Bold is a good trait to have when one faces uncertain danger, though choose your battles wisely young one." Istalindir murmured, closing his eyes briefly before straightening and offering Ash a small smile for her words. "It is not a private matter. Merely the knowledge of what was lost that refuses to rest." He shifted his weight and relaxed a bit.
"I have wandered for a long time, and yet, here you are, the first Star Born I have seen with such gentle dispositions who are both whole, healthy, and more importantly: Fully Alive." He looked at each of them, "Though I'll admit, that I have truly only seen three of us. The other Star is as unfriendly as the storm he rides on." He shook his head and turned his gaze heavenward.
"Watch out for the one known as Rahkesh. He is not quite like us. He was born of a Star, though his soul was born from the never ending rage of the thunderstorm. At least, that is what I feel from him. Nothing can appease the anger in his soul. It is...as if he lusts for the destruction of everything."
He shook head again, as if trying to dislodge the picture of the emerald colored stallion. "That is all that is bothering me." His gaze seemed lighter, as if by speaking he'd managed to unburden a part of himself. "Now, what was this about starting a herd?"

"I'll watch out for this Rahkesh," Lughnasadh promised. "I'm planning on starting a herd to the west of here, in the grasslands nearer the sea. My daughter and I at least are interested in a herd of our own, and I have sought a land for us to live in. The hills to the west are a good place, and there aren't other Stars there who are unpleasant. I'm now keeping an eye out for other Stars who would like to join this herd I am making."

"Rahkesh" said softly a little fear in her voice as she looked around. "I have to admit I have met very few other starborn myself. Are there many like Rahkash, so full of rage?" She took a step closer to the two stallions. "Perhaps..."she started weakly "Perhaps, there is safety in numbers, I shall truly think about joining your herd Lughnasadh"
She looked to the forest then back to Ista. "Where was the place you met that beast of a starborn, I do hope it was well away from you and you have been traving far to get away from him" She said both concerned for him and worried for herself. "If it was just in those woods, I would never enter them again, though I will surely miss my solitude among the trees."

Ista blinked, "I did not mean to frighten you Ash. Rahkesh goes where he pleases and there is very little that could hold him back. He is a Lyra, one of the winged Stars. His home is the sky, and it stretches as far as the eye can see, and beyond." He pawed at the ground a bit, "I met him at a lake, a most tranquil place where even the earth seemed to be content. The very air there seemed to calm him greatly, until he saw me, and even then, his anger wasn't as great as I sensed it could have been."

Lughnasadh turned to nuzzle Ash. "I'll protect you, don't worry." He turned back to Ista. "Did you meet Rahkesh far from here? I would prefer to keep my herd away from him." He turned back to Ash. "I also know of a wood in the hills where I plan to relocate, as pretty as these, and a broad, shallow stream where foals may play in spring and summer, if you would like to come with for safety."

Ash shivered at the thought of meeting this Rahkeshy fellow on her own, "Ista you are much braver then I" She lowered her head and said meek small voice. "I honestly try to avoid confrontation with anyone, if I had met him I probably would have fainted in fear. I have not yet seen a starborn who could fly, I think that is one think that scares me the most about him." She paused and looked up. "I may not beable to get away from him fast enough."
Ash returned Lughnasadh's nuzzle "Thank you Lug, you are a true friend, and as I said before, I shall think about joining the herd, but I am more of a loner, large groups make me nervous."
A bright orange monarch butterfly landed on a flower close by and listened to the conversation.

Ista whickered in amusement, "It is wise to fear the one filled with anger, but do not let his 'What-If' actions rule you." He lifted his head and let the breeze play with his mane. "Live for today, and when tomorrow comes, face it head on. If you meet him, you meet him, if not, then you would have lost a part of time and energy spent on worrying over things that never came into fruitation."
His shifting colored gaze rested on the two of them. "You are very sweet on each other."

"Sweet on eachother!! No it's not like that, he is the first starborn I met after I fell, we are just friends, that's it, just friends." Ash was a very shy female, it made her uncomfortable to be seen as if Lug and she had been up to something on there own by the river. Ash lowered her head "Ista, I shall take what you said to heart, but it is my nature to be as I am. It will be as hard reversing the flow of the river to change my timid nature.
the little buttefly seemed to laugh at how Ash was behaving.
Ash had already had her head low when she heard laughter and she looked over to the butterfly. " I beg your pardon, but I believe that butterfly in laughing at me."
The butterfly then suddenly grew into a beautiful mare. "It wasn't at you per say, but if you wish for help changing your mannerisms I will be glad to help." She bowed to all three of them, "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Regina of the Arion's. I was the first of my kind to fall, and have been looking for other stars ever since. Forgive my intrusion, I did not mean to sneek up on you, I just find flying a faster means of transportation. I hope I didn't alarm any of you to much." Her orange eyes moved to Lughnasadh. "You said something of starting a herd, I would be happy to join you. If you would have me.

Lughnasadh nodded. "I would be delighted to have you join me, Regina. I am Lughnasadh, and the only other who would help me form a herd is my daughter, Sunniva." He turned back to Ista. "Ista, would you like to join the herd I am forming? If you don't, I understand, but I would be honored if there were others who wished to join the herd I'm forming."

"It has been quite a while since I was a part of a herd." Ista replied, a note of whimsical sentimentality clear in his voice, "I would be honored to join." He bowed his head, "Though I will admit right now, that I might disappear for days on end, only to return and behave as if nothing had transpired."
His shifting eyes were glued to Lughnasadh's form, "Can you allow me this?"

Lughnasadh nodded. "Of course. All of the Stars who have fallen lost loved ones and there is still some pain in the hearts of those who have fallen. It wouldn't be fair for me to expect you to want to be around other Stars all the time."

Ash looked to Ista, "I feel the same as you...I spend many days on my own, but every now and again I find it nice to talk to someone."
Regina look form Ista to Ash with a slight hint of distaste "I have been alone for many weeks just looking for other star born, and with all due respect, I do not understand your need to separate yourself from everyone. I found myself awfully lonesome." She looked back to Lughnasdh, "That is why, when I heard you talking about stating a herd my heart started to sing in my chest. To be with others again is dream come true." her orange butterfly wings fluttered showing her happiness and she smiled graciously at Lughnasdh
"Lady Regina, I am just not good when to many are around, If shy and well I get very nervous in the company of more then three or four, Perhaps in time this will fade, or the need of my safety shall bring me to join the herd" She looked to lughnasadh for reassurance that he would allow her to join when ever she was ready.
