As Holly get him a glass of water she continued to think about Rei and glance at Alekssander and suddenly it connected. She dropped the glass and it broke when the familiarity finally clicked. Everyone in the bar looked up at her as her cheeks flushed and she bent to pick up the broken pieces. Just for the sake of her embarrassment she made everyone feel less curious about her and what she did, except for Alekssander, she didn't bother his emotions.
Carl looked at her with a raised eyebrow as she carefully picked up the bigger parts of the glass and she smiled at him as she made him cheerful instead of curious or angry.
"Ah, lasseh. I'll get that fer ya. No need for a pretty girl such as yourself to pick up this sharp glass; you might hurt yourself. Go and get another and resume the rest of your work, I got this'n. " He smiled as he bent down difficultly and assumed her job.
"Thanks Carl, your so kind." Holly smiled back politely then got another glass and filled it with ice and water.
She took the glass to Alekssander's table and set it down in front of him. She sighed and pulled out her notepad, "Have you decided what you'd like to eat, sir?"
Holly looked at him intently, searching his eyes for any hint that he might remember her. She didn't recall any precise memories, but she knew that she'd known hi in the labs.

((How close should they have been? Acquaintances, friends, good friends? What's your idea?))

"Alright, that'll be right out." Holly smiled, her memory working over time as she left the table again and went to the kitchen to prepare the dish.
A few moments later she came back and sat the plate down in front of him, hesitated, then sat down next to him.
"I'll explain it to you." She said loudly, for Carl to hear, but it was only a cover up.
She scooted closer to him and whispered, "Alekssander? Could it really be you?"
She remembered the cat-like man waited for her outside behind the bar, and checked the clock; she had time. Her heart raced with anticipation. Two ECs in one night; that was more than she'd run into for months. She didn't know what to do.

((Sounds delicious! What exactly is it? Like, what does it come with, you know?))

Holly smiled hugely and sent an ecstatic wave to him, making him giddy, then calming him down to how he was previously.
"Yes, of course! It's so good to see you again, though I hardly knew you as well as others." She nodded ferociously.
She lowered her voice and looked around her, "I've already met another tonight and I'm going to meet him outside soon, you'll have to come with me when I take my break. I've never seen him before. He's the only experiment that worked in the animal DNA labs."
"Did you get out during the first wave of rebellion? Have you met up with anyone else since? Oh, I have so many questions for you guys." She smiled.
"Holly! There's customers needin' tendin' to! Get back ta work, lasseh." Carl called from the bar and Holly nodded to him.
"I'll whistle to you when I take my break and you can follow me out to the back where the other guy is. Oh man, this is great. I'll talk to you later, Alex, bye." She said hurriedly as she stood and walked towards the bar.

The rest of the hour passed slowly, but eventually Holly was let on a break and she whistled to Alex. She hurried out to the back of the bar, taking off her apron as she did so.
She found Rei waiting for her and she smiled, her heart pounding like a bass drum in her ears.
The old clock in the center of town tolled 11 p.m. off in the distance and she stepped near him.
"There's another coming. I never thought this would happen to me, meeting up with two of my kind in one night. Are you alright with this? The last thing I want to do is upset someone because I wasn't being cautious enough." Holly said in a hushed tone, a pang of fear and guilt hitting her stomach when she realized she hadn't been careful enough.
She bit her lip and looked up at the stranger with fear and guilt, her eyes shining in the dim light of the dying bulb attached to the wall near them. She prayed to he God she hoped was there that she wasn't making a mistake.

((Sounds... Interesting. I'd have to watch someone else eat it first and hear more about it before I dared to try it. I'm kinda a wimp when it comes to eating new foods, except with my uncle I'm currently with, it's weird.))

Holly took notice of the slight defense p***k up through his emotions and saw him grabbing his dagger. Her heart throbbed again when she realized she didn't have a weapon and she was going to be alone with two men in a dark alleyway. She was slightly familiar with Alex, but she didn't know Rei or his capabilities; it made her nervous. It's not like she had an ability that was particularly offensive. Only something that could liven a party or calm a baby to sleep. Maybe she could keep the tensions low so a fight wouldn't break out.

"Calm, will you?" Holly said as she stepped between the men, her hands on both their chests, and sent a calming wave through them.
"Alekssander, this is another one of us. He's the only experiment that didn't fail when they tried to fuse people with animal DNA. I haven't learned his name yet, haven't the chance. But I figured I could learn some things by meeting him back here." She said cooly as she looked from one to the other.
"We've got to hurry, my break ends at 11:30." She said as she glanced at the clock across the street.

Holly kept herself from gasping at the appearance of Rei and instead swallowed hard. He was very interesting to look at, but it also broke her heart to see a person twisted by the demented scientist's minds and experiments.
"It was by no means your fault. You were just one of the first in a long line of evil ideas and plans. And I suppose I'm kind of glad that the scientist's made me. After all, they did create my life and my special abilities, like everyone else. And without that, I wouldn't be here, let alone different from everyone else. We are all unique..."
A pang of memories swept over Holly's mind when she uttered the last sentence. Someone else had said that to her once, someone very special to her. Her brother, Drake, always looked on the positive side of things. He was so wonderful to her. She missed him so much.
Holly bit her lip, trying to subside the pain in her heart at the memories of Drake, but she couldn't keep it all in. A slight vibe of sadness touched the others, though she didn't know it.
