The wonderful smell of play-doh had brought another playmate to the doors of the Daycare Center, it'd seem, for Maddy had been too tempted by the wondruos smell to pass by.
Surely Mom wouldn't mind one small day of skipping..?

She peered through the door, a bit shy and more than a bit conscious that she should not be here at this hour.

"Hey.." well, at least she didn't seem to be the only kid here; there were a bunch of other odd-looking ones here, already. "Can I join you guys?" She nervously hefted her schoolbag on her shoulder, shifting from foot to foot in anxiety.

"Come on in, wingaling," said Xi cheerfully, "just dump your stuff in the corner, honey, don't want the kids going through your backpack. Mins, Sean, you want to play with the big kids, right?"

Cece grinned broadly at Madeleine, glad that she wasn’t the only older kid around who still like Play-Doh day.

“Come on!” She said brightly to the butterfly girl, while pulling off a generous lump of the green dough to hand to Sean.

Minerva looked up at Xi, then up at the two older girls.

"No." She said, rolling her dough. She picked it up and measured it with her eyes. Yes, it seemed long enough now! She reached behind her neck and squished the two ends together, making herself a necklace.

"I know," Sean grumbled at Minerva, taking some of the dough in his hands. He wrinkled his nose a little, his sensative senses getting clogged with the fresh, sweetly plastic smell. His play dough at home didn't stink this much. But then again...he fingered his blue heap. It was very warm. That was kinda nice.

"No," he grunted at Xi without even listening to the question. He just liked that word at this point. He spread out his fingers and than pressed his palm down in the dough, making an imprint of his hand.

She grinned gratefully at the grown-up and slid her backpack into the corner. At least they didn't seem to mind her being her - though the youngest two weren't nearly as enthusiastic as the older ones.

That was alright, though. There was play-doh and the blonde seemed nice and friendly.
She situated herself next to Cecelia, carefully taking a small lump of the dough and rolling it between her hands.
"So, um.. who are you guys?" she smiled tentatively around the table.

Minerva hummed slightly, rolling more dough. She would make some rings next!

"Minny." She said, finally looking up at the girl. Silly. She squished the dough suddenly, ignoring her plan to make more jewelry and instead started to make something else. "Kitty-Foxy is grouchy."

"Not Kitty-Fox!" Sean insisted, frowning in Minerva's general direction. Did the boy ever smile? He straightened himself up a little and pointed a play-dough covered thumb at his chest. He said very firmly, ears trembling a little with effort (or enthusiasm), "Sean! I'm African Doggy." Or something like that. He was missing the "part" and "wild" of that description, but it was all he really remembered. He knew what they looked like, even if he didn't remember the correct name. Sophia had showed him pictures.
