This does prove to be interesting. I'd like to see the new recruits. And perhaps challenge them in the end.
What kind of a tournament is it, anyway? I'm just curious if it's a normal elimination tournament or if it's based off the number of wins.

The leaders will be determined by final tourney placings. Lets say this happens:
1-FireA
2-Ice
3-FireB
4-Grass
FireA gets a gym spot automatically, then Ice, then Grass, since there is already a Fire leader. This continues until there are eight leaders of different types. Right, Kyrenx?

Of course the 3 current leaders (Sateru, Luther and Extraordinaire) are free to join this tournament as well at no cost of losing their status if they just want to help test out the new leader candidates and/or just get in some battle experience before the league officially opens back up to challengers. The way I figure it, this way the league will have some stronger well rounded gym leaders as opposed to just leaders of a single type that can just beat other teams of the same type if that makes any sense.

That makes sense. If a challenger has a team that is all one element that may be one of your weaknesses, then it could test your team against its weaknesses.

This is off topic a bit, but man, who goes to a tournament and tries to dictate their own rules? Seriously. I swear, just when you think you've seen it all. mad I mean sure, everyone has their own preferred method of battlin, but only after you win a gym leader spot, are you free to accept battles in any format that you wish, but for the qualifier tourney, it's 6v6 Singles!

wOOt! This is like having a Dragon Roll sushi platter and eating it too!!! x333 I will like give a cookie to anyone that wins or loses on the tournament, but you gotta understand... It is an electric chocolate chip cookie... so it might be a painful cookie.
