Kavrin watched as the firefly vanished into smoke, leaving him with an empty paw outstretched toward Aurora. He put it back down on the ground, and said, "That's alright." He wondered if she'll do it again. Surely she would want to know that she has fire powers too. "Wanna go see what else we can find?"

"Yes!" said an eager Aurora. She cast one last look at the firefly before bouncing a bit ahead, her bounce resembling Pepe Lepew from Loony Tunes. She vaguely wondered what Kavrin had said, but figured that if it was important he would've told her.

Kavrin followed, looking around to see if anything of interest would pop into his field of vision. He mostly looked up towards the sky and straight ahead, thinking that most of the interesting things were in those directions. He heard a sudden rustling of branches, and an owl flew overhead. He replied, "I just saw an owl. Can't see it anymore though." He added, when the owl flew out of his view. He hoped to find something a bit more interesting that wouldn't fly away next time.

"An owl? Wonder if it's on its way to Hogwarts." Aurora looked up to try and catch sight of the owl. She even jumped up thinking she'd actually jump high enough to see over the tree tops. But it was to no avail, she could see no sign of the owl.

"I bet it is," replied Kavrin happily. While Aurora searched for the owl, Kavrin searched for something more intersting. Sadly, nothing really seemed to stand out. He could hear the chirping of crickets, thier song reminding him of home. "I used to wake up to the cricket's song," He commented.

"Cricket's song?" Aurora perked one ear up to hear the crickets. It didn't really sound like a song to her, sounded more like a failed comedy act. Though her and Kavrin grew up in very different enviroments. Her in a human home, and he in the wild with his pack..."What was it like where you grew up Kavrin?"

"Well I lived in a pack. The best way to think of a pack is as a large family where everyone knows everyone. The main difference is the heirarchy that isn't quite so present in normal families. We had to fight since pups to gain our place within the pack. I was sorta on the bottom, to tell you the truth..." replied Kavrin a bit sheepishly. It was slightly embarrassing to think about his past, before he came to Namiah. Still, he didn't mind sharing with Aurora.

"While most of the pups loved to fight, I had more fun looking at nature. I didn't mind hunting, but I was never really good at it. Better than some, but not most. I guess it's because I had more fun looking at nature and observing than training. I learned a lot from the older members of the pack. They were sort of a grandparent-type I suppose, not valued for their power but just for their knowledge. The elders liked my curiousity, though the pack leader at the time really didn't respect them as much as the previous. To him power was everything, and gaining power was more important than gaining knowledge. Someone like me just sickened him."

He didn't add that the pack leader happened to be his father, who pretty much disowned his son when he didn't live up to his expectations. Aurora really didn't need to know that, it was in the past and had no relevance in Namiah. "It wasn't all bad though. Mostly I was able to get away and see some really pretty sights. I like Namiah more though. Much better company," he added, smiling at Aurora. "and the family atmosphere is still here, even if it isn't a pack."

Aurora gave Kavrin her complete attention as he told her his tale. It was hard for her to believe that Kavrin had been near the bottom of the pack. To her he always seemed very strong, despite his niceness. If it came down to a fight between him and a werewolf, she would bet on Kavrin...after squealing in delight that she actually got to see a werewolf. "Well I'm glad you came to Namiah, without you the company wouldn't be nealy as interesting."

She grinned and winked at him.

Kavrin smiled at the wink, glad that she listened so intently. As embarrassing as it was to think about his past, it was nice to get it off his chest and share it with her. "I'm glad I came. So, shall we resume our walk?"

(It wasn't for lack of talent, it was a lack of initiative. biggrin )

Aurora nodded her head, deady to continue when heard the flapping of wings up above. She looked up to try and see what it was, only to catch sight of a black blur as something flew by.

((I figured that, but Kavrin's always been so determined to accomplish all things that he did with the training and what not, that she couldn't picture him not being at the top. Even if there was lack of desire to be there xD
PS, what she saw was a bat, but I firugred this gives them something to chase for a while =3))

Kavrin looked up suddenly when he heard the flapping of leathery wings beating against the air. "What was that?" He asked, heading in the direction it when in so that they wouldn't lose it completely before getting a chance to decide whether or not to give chase.

"Maybe it's a vampire squirrel!!" Aurora grinner and bumped against Kavrin in a playful manner as she trotted after the bat. "Bet I catch it before you!"

"You're on!" Replied Kavrin, taking chase after the bat. He wasn't sure if he would be able to catch it, since it seemed to be flying, but he would try to at least catch up. His mind filled with potiential real identities, all the while accepting the vampire squirell theory for fun.

Aurora darted through the trees, her eyes focused on the black blur that was the bat. It dived under a low hanging branch and snatched up an insect. As it was down low, Aurora leaped at it, and fell short.

Kavrin kept after the blur, and noticed that Aurora had leaped out at it. Wondering if she got it, he looked over, and noticed that she hadn't. "You almost had it." He commented as the black blur started flying up high and out of view to escape its pursuers.
