"Why not?" Callista was confused. Of course it made sense. At least she thought it did. Kindness had to be taught to others. She learned from her mother and her father, but Serena was having some trouble learning that. She had to help her.

"Yes, like you. I can feel it. You're afraid of something. Someone has made you fear. That's not how it should be." She smiled and sent kind feelings out, ones of protection and safety. "There's nothing to be afraid of here. I'm not scary, am I?"

Callista's smile slowly faded. "But I can feel it. I can't be wrong, can I? Unless you're a vampire..." Callista stepped closer to Valzar. "You can't be a vampire though, the feeling is all wrong...It's fear." She looked at Valzar strangely. "Don't be afraid of me, I'm just a girl." Her voice was sweet and pure, deep for a girl, but not manly.

Callista rolled her eyes and shook her head. "If you say so. Perhaps the Drow give off some strange event. I will have to ask my Daddy. If he doesn't know, he'll ask another Carpathi-Nevermind." She turned around and smacked herself in the forehead. "So what were you doing all alone out here? The woods can be dangerous, especially if the animals don't know you."
