When Rimi had reached the shore Kirai began sputtering water. Having not been out long he didn't need any real medical attention. As he came to his eyes began to focus and his mind began to gain color again he noticed his son was nowhere in sight. He looked up at Rimi with blurry eyes and in a scratchy voice he spoke. "Where's Toro?"

She set Kirai gently upon the now dark sands, away from the waves and he began to come to. She sat near him, breathing hard and watching his face for muscle movement. The first words he said seemed to stump her at first, but then she knew the answer. "He went back to the shop, he's safe. Don't worry." She nuzzled him gently and licked his snout with affection. "Thank god you're okay. Nothing hurts, right?" Her eyebrows knit together with confusion and worry.

Toro nervously entered the shop and satin a corner near the door. He hoped everything was okay and nothing bad happened. He curled his tail around himself for some comfort and a place to hide his face. Mommy... Daddy... Where are you guys? He let a few tears drip onto his tail as he waited.

Kirai shook his head as he stood on his own. He let out a soft, sad laugh. "I guess I kinda ruined everything, huh?" He looked sadly at the ground before motioning to Rimi to follow him as he headed back to the shop.

Rimi nodded slowly as she watched Kirai get up, slowly and steadly. It's okay though, everything will be alright. She was tempted to call out to him, as he beckoned her away. She stopped, foot posed in the air and said. "Don't worry about a thing, because everything little thing will be alright. Just don't worry." Smiling at him, she caught up to him.
As they reach the shop she looked around inside the door and noticed the frightened Toro hidden there. Hurrying over to him, she nuzzled him lovingly on the head. "Sh, young one. Your mother and father are here now."

Toro looked up and sniffled. "Momma! Daddy!" He ran over and nuzzled them both. "I-I was so scared." He had gotten his tail pretty wet. HIs tears were more than he wanted. "I'm tired..." The kit yawned and struggled to keep his eyelids open.

Kirai smiled slightly as he shuffled over to Toro and Rimi. He sat down next to his son and curled his tail around him and his mother. "Go to sleep little one and dream good things, just remember me and your mother will always be here, loving you" Kirai rested his head on Rimi's as he too became sleepy.
(( I kinda think we should end this here because I didn't see it going anywhere else sweatdrop ))

Rimi smiled at her mate and settled down next to the two of them, paw gently on Toro, making sure he was safe. "I can always continue loving you too." Then she closed her eyes and drifted into a light sleep.
