.:|I R ENTERING|:. Foal's Name: Ghubari - it means rain cloud Foal's Gender: Female Prompt: 2
Staring at this medicine hat paint horse, she didn't take it into any consideration that this might be Wild Wing, she thought it silly that her sister, 'Suli said he was not worth looking for, but something told her that she wanted to meet him but she followed her words. Now she had the chance to speak although she truely didn't know weather or not this was him or someone else. It didn't bother her till he said what he said.
"No your wrong."
Ghubari wasn't a mistake to her parents, an abomination. He didn't know her, so why should he make it any harder on her family. She didn't have to be good at Wind or the Horse races, her parents would still love her anyways. She could feel her mind racing as she soon thought about her doubts. What if this big stallion was right, what if he could see through his wise eyes that she was already not going to be a good racer. Sadness started to take over her and she felt like she good cry. She could hear his cut up laugh as she thought over it.
"Your Wild Wind, aren't you?" She decided to ask who her speaker was. All he did was nod a she could feel tears start to build up. She didn't want to seem weak although she knew she was. "Maybe your right." She admitted to him. Who was she to say that this 'Wild Wing' was right about her skills. Maybe she would better at other things. Her mind was so clouded that she forgot that he always tried to split the family up, or make them hurt.
Looking breifly at him, he had a winners face on since he had come to tell her this and for her to accept it. She didn't know if she should keep this meeting between her and him a secret. No words had to be said, him just being there made her sad. She didn't want to believe him, but she could help but not object his words.
Starting to trot away she didn't look back when a few words escaped his mouth and then that chuckle of his. She didn't hear the words, nor did she want to. She slowed to a walk, she could feel her mind swirling about him, and what he had said. It was a sad walk home, and longer than usual. He had won.

.:|I R ENTERING|:. Foal's Name: Nina'Nidawi (meaning: 'fire fairy', nickname: Nina) Foal's Gender: Female Prompt: 2
Of course the filly had heard of Wild Wind before. The winged stallion was her Father's rival and was considered bad news by the entire family. But at the moment bad news was far from Nina'Nidawi's thoughts. Why should she care about some guy her family doesn't like? At the moment, Nina was too busy following a rather colorful butterfly. The tree she scampered around was on her family's stomping ground, close to a river. Nina had decided that she would cool off there once the butterfly was out of reach. Little did she know that her plans would never come to action.
The butterfly suddenly came into reach and Nina lunged at it. Just as she did so, the insect flew away and was replaced by something larger. Much larger. The figure cast a large shadow over the small filly. Large eyes wide with curiosity, Nina looked up straight into a face she had never seen but knew very well. The stallion's eyes were two different colors and he was grinning devilishly from ear to ear. It was Wild Wind.
Before Nina could even speak, the winged stallion spoke first. He told the red filly something that froze her body and her mind. She was so stunned that she wasn't sure of all that Wild Wind said. But what Nina did hear made her angry. One word hit the hardest.
"Abonimation"
Nina had never been called such a thing before. The word rattled around in her head until it ached. The stallion told Nina that she couldn't be with the Wind horses or any of the other horses for that matter. According to him she 'didn't have a hoof to stand on with either'. What right did he have to say such things?
"So, I guess what my parents said about you was right. You're trouble," Nina's body was no longer frozen and she could feel herself gaining strength. Usually, she wasn't one to go against those who were older than her. But this was a different story. The filly was not about to let this stallion tell her that her and her family weren't good enough. That wasn't for him to decide. That wasn't for anyone to decide. "I don't care that my Mother had no wings and it doesn't make a difference that my Father does. You aren't any better just 'cause you have wings."
This statement coming from a filly seemed to stun Wild Wind. It was Nina's turn to grin now and that is exactly what she did. But she did have one last thing to stay before she was done with the big bad wolf. "With that said, I believe I'll get back to my business and you can get back to your's," Nina gave Wild Wind a big smile before turning away. She didn't turn back to see the stallion's reaction but Nina guessed that he must have left. It was the last she would see of him for quite some time.
From what Nina had heard of her sister 'Suli's encounter with Wild Wind, the filly figured that she had handled the situation pretty well. Well, she figured, it could have gone a lot worse. But where had all that spunk come from? Nina couldn't imagine herself saying the things she had, especially to an adult. Where did all that bravery come from? How-
But as quickly as it all had happened, Nina's attention was taken away. Another colorful butterfly had flown into view and Nina took off after it. The insect landed on the tree, allowing Nina to take a rest. While she eyed the butterfly she saw another insect, a tiny spider. She brought her large eyes close so she could examine its long legs. Unlike the butterfly, the spider had no wings with which to fly. "But that doesn't matter lil' guy," Nina smiled towards the creepy, crawly insect. Then she decided to scamper off to find her parents and her siblings. Perhaps she would tell them about her encounter today...or maybe she would keep that victory to herself.

Your parents haven't said much about dad's rival, Wild Wind, but your big sis, 'Suli told you about the chance encounter she had with him before you were born. She pretty much voiced the same opinion of your parents that he's trouble and not worth looking for. But what you don't know is that Wild Wind used live with your mother and knows your stomping grounds near Evening Night's two-legger. You're off playing by the family tree near the riverside when a shadow seems to flicker across the sunlight. Before you know it, you're standing right in front of a great medicine hat paint who seems to be sneering at you behind his grin and bi-colored eyes. He tells you that you don't have a hoof to stand on in either the Wind or the Horse races and you're another abomination to your parents' record. How do you take this? Do you stand up for your family or will the doubt seed take root?
.:|I R ENTERING|:. Foal's Name: Veerle ((Feather in some other language)) Foal's Gender: Male - Every time I enter an RP contest I alwyas see people choosing female! Why not be different for once? Prompt: 2
The sun was bright and shining, a huge ball of fire high in the sky. It's rays shone down to the wet ground next to the river, small hoofprints were very audible. The breeze was light and just perfect for everything, calming everything near. Leaves rustled in the trees and also caused the foals to get a tingling sensation to go out and play.
One of these foals was named Veerle. He was a wingless foal, but the son of a wind family. He must have gotten most of his appearance from his mother, Ever Sacrifice. He was big, though, and also strong. Every muscle on his body could be seen even though he was young. Obviously he was still growing, and that was amazing to most horses. He would only gte bigger and bigger from here. His mane was medium for now and would definetly get longer as he grew. He had a feather in his mane and another in his tail, making him look amazing. He was trying to take after his father, obviously.
Veerle was romping around by the river. Every one of his movements was like watching a painting be made, a masterpiece actually. His ears pricked as he heard hoofbeats on the opposite side of the river.
Veerle's eyes narrowed immediatly as he looked up at the big medicine hat paint horse. Before he could speak he allready knew whom he was from the stories he had heard. This had to be the infamous Wild Wind, his father's enemy. But in his own words, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. 'I might as well listen to what he is going to say....'
Putting on a very fake smile, the colt looked at Wild Wind with interest. As the sun was starting to set he could see each of Wild Wind's feathers almost as perfectly as anything. The stallion looked as if he was molded from Diana's flesh, by the sun itself. He wore a beautiful pendant around his neck that Veerle couldn't help but stare at. But then seeing the stallion's jaw p***k open made him look back into his eyes. The river's waves lapped upagainst the shore and it splashed him, making him have a real smile.
"You don't have a hoof to stand on in either the Wind or the Horse races and you're another abomination to your parents' record." Veerle's smile quickly turned into a devastated frown. That was harsh, especially coming from somebody that didn't know him, let alone the good side of his family. Never in his life had he felt such hatred suddenly well up inside of him. Now more than ever he wanted to shove his hoof right up Wild Wind's muzzle.
"You know what? I think that you are jealous of both my parents. You are the one whom is a disgrace to the Wind race. I don't know how anybody can stand a stuck up brat like you! No wonder Tawali dislikes you, anybody who meets you does! Your own kin are probably fed up with you by now. And if you ever say anything disgraceful to my family again, I will sure as ever pound you into the ground!"
By now, of course, the all mighty Wild Wind had stumbled over to his side of the river. As Veerle turned his back he actually heard him snicker, and that was it. "You idiot!" In one enormous leap Veerle shoved himself full-force against Wild Wild, sending him and his wings straight down into the water. "And don't come back...."
Feeling great about himself, Veerle smiled with victory and gave a dazzling headshake. "Oh, you also look like a drowned rat when you're wet!" With that he had set off in a canter, back to his mother, father, 'Suli, and Vidia. If anything he wished he could give Vidia Wild Wind's wings, for she was the most deserving of them. And seeing his family's eyes brighten as he told them the story would always be a plus.

.:|I R ENTERING|:. Foal's Name: Nietha Foal's Gender: Male Prompt: Prompt 1
As a new foal full of questions, you can't understand the differences between the two Winds of your family's thoughts toward flying! On the one hand, your energetic father Tawali loves flying, and is often away for days on end just floating on the breezes, but your older sister, Uwoduhi'Suli, prefers to stay on the ground with your mother. Confused by these strange differences, you approach 'Suli and decide to ask her about it. What do you say, and how do you take the news that she believes herself a Grounded stuck in a Winged body? Are you of a similar disposition, or do you believe you should be the owner of such wings? Do you think her strange for this for this point of view, or justified? Maybe it is the mix of blood that has caused this strange clash of views? ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Doda is a wonderful teacher, kind yet stern. Nietha truly wanted to learn to fly, to be able to join him. To soar with the birds and to watch the world below. To taste the freedom and wonder of the sky. He tried so hard to do what was asked of him, but was clumsy and uncoordinated, tripping over his own hooves more often then not. One day, I will fly. I will shed my clumsiness and take to the sky. To find adventure and travel. But always, I will return to the family that loves me. He felt sorry for his elder sis Vidia, and other brother. They are grounded, like ma. Never to know the joy of flying. He would never pity mom, though. She is so strong and brave. So fast she could outrun the wind if she so desired. No, it was Vidia and his brother Nietha pitied. They wanted so much to fly like doda. Like ‘Suli can, even if she doesn’t very often. I wonder why?
It is taxing, trying to fly, and after an afternoon with doda, Nietha was more then ready to go to the lake to cool off and maybe see ‘Suli. The Lake has much meaning to his family, and is a place of great peace and solace. Like ma, ‘Suli can almost always be found there. At least, that was what he was hoping. For once, he wanted to spend some time with her. He wanted to know why.
He was lucky. She was resting in the shade of everyone’s favorite tree. She looked calm, placid. Peaceful. Good. Maybe she would actually answer his questions. Nietha walked to the edge of the shadows cast by the sheltering giant. He inclined his head slightly in respect. “Afternoon, sis. Might I join you?”
She just looked at Nietha, showing neither approval or disapproval. Taking a chance, he walked towards his sister. Stopping a few paces away, he lay down in the shade. For a moment he held back his questions, waiting to see if he’d made the right decision. It was peaceful, just the two of them, each in their own worlds. Summoning his courage, Nietha cleared his throat.
“It’s a beautiful day for flying. Doda was just starting to teach me. The wind beneath your wings, across the tops of your sensitive feathers, holding you up and cradling you. It is the best feeling ever. Don’t you like to fly?” Hiding his interest behind friendly banter and a barrage of childish comments, Nieth bombarded ‘Suli.
She sighed, and answered. The gist of it coming down to the fact that they were half-breeds, and she was a grounded horse who didn’t like heights or flying, trapped in the body of a wind. If she could only just give her wings to her sister who yearned for the sky ,she would, in a heartbeat. With no regrets. Not only did she look like their ma, but she had the same spirit, too. It was rather difficult for him to dislike or pity anyone who resembled the ma he loved and admired so dearly, but he also couldn’t understand her dislike of flying. In this way, Nietha was a very good blend of both parents, his ma’s patience and acceptance, with doda’s wild streak. He shook his head. He didn’t have to agree with ‘Suli and her take on their blood and on flying. But nor did he have to wholeheartedly embrace his Doda’s view. They were family, and they were both older and wiser than he, so he could listen to both and take what he needed from both and form his own views and opinions.
He reached over and nuzzled his sister softly. He didn’t understand her view but she was still his sister, family, and he loved her. Tired out he moved closer to his sister and lay against her side. She would protect him. Yawning widely, he drifted off.

.:|I R ENTERING|:. Foal's Name: Ajitabh (nick: Ajita) Meaning: one who has conquered the sky Foal's Gender: Male Prompt: 1
Ajitabh walked around his sister in confusion. The sky is like air... how can she think so about it? he questioned himself as he watched 'Suli. "I cannot see how you think so of the sky... It's a wonderus place up there in the sky. It's like there is nothing else but the serenity and calmness of the sky and nothing can break it." he said knowledgeably. "I see how you would think so though.... But I completely disagree with you. I would only land on the earth when needed." he said nodding. "I agree with father I think... He seems wise about the sky." he said as he laid down. "But it is getting late and tomarrow I want to show you this place I found when I trying to fly.

.:|I R ENTERING|:. Foal's Name: Keezheekoni (Ez-E-k-Oni) Meaning: Burning Fire of My Soul in Cherokee Foal's Gender: Male Prompt: Number Two
Keezheekoni looked up from the ladybird he had been playing with, his look of joy dying in an instant. A deep scowl slid across his face, intense eyes flashing with annoyance at the paint’s words. The colt pulled himself up to appear as large as possible, but compared to the stallion before him he still looked minuscule. He ruffled his wings and merely studied the wind as he wracked his brain for something, anything to say. “Ah dun care about standin’ in any race be it wind, horse or anythin' else. Ah’ve got a family tha’ loves meh no matter wha’.” He said proudly as he stomped a hoof for emphasis. “M’ Doda and Sis warned meh abou’ ye. Said yer head was stuck up in the clouds and yeh didn’ have half a brain to know tha’ sometimes yeh need to look beyond yeh-self and pedigree.” He looked smug for a moment. “Maybeh ye dun have a family of yer own and downplay everyone else’s? There has to be some sort a’ insecurity to make yeh act in such a way when yeh aren’t a skinwalker or kalona.” The foal said giving a toss of his head.
The colt scoffed and looked away briefly, closing his eyes in defiance. “And ah’ve had time to come to a conclusion. Ah don’t give a rat’s bum what ye think ‘o meh. But if’n yeh insult mah family again, when ah’m big enough, mark meh ah’ll make ye regret ever breathin’ a word to meh.” He snapped.
The wind laughed haughtily. “Such a scrawny little brat.” He sneered before lowering his head to the colt so they were on eye level. “You talk big little boy, but I seriously doubt you’ll ever back it up.” He said in a deathly soft tone before pushing the foal backwards with his head. “I don’t take kindly to INSULTS!” He boomed.
Keezheekoni stumbled backwards, flapping his wings like mad to regain control over his still wobbly legs. “You just wait ‘till ah’m as big as ye an’ I dare yeh t’ try tha’ again!” He said, know knowing that his father was one hundred percent correct about this pompous stallion. “Ah may’n be much to look at now but ye just wait!” He added heatedly tossing his head in anger. “Ah’m not going’t stand down for the likes of ye!” The colt snarled.
Wildwind laughed so hard his sides ached at the foal’s antics.
The colt turned around and powered his hoof toward the older stallion’s head. He took a few slight hopping steps back after feeling his hoof connect with Wildwind's jaw. “Ah’m not all talk!” He hissed under his breath. “But ah know when to back down…yeh’ve not seen the last ‘o meh.” He added before taking off and heading for home. The colt tripped on a stone and fell face first before quickly trying to pick himself up.
”You’re lucky I have some upbringing and won’t stomp a child into the ground you pathetic excuse for wind!” The Medicine paint called as Keezheekoni ran as fast as his legs little could carry him. He had so much to tell ‘Suli and his Doda!

.:|I R ENTERING|:. Foal's Name: Mapiya "sky" Foal's Gender: Male Prompt: #1
Mapiya shook out his mane as he thought of what his older sister had just told him. How could one with such lovely wings not want to use them. Just because she had wings, doesn't mean that she always had to be flying, it would be nice to get away once and a while. Like father, but 'Suli didn't have to go out for days like he did. The little foal understood the feeling of being grounded, at least you always knew where you were. Perhaps sister felt that she need to stay around mother, though she had other children to keep her company. Poor Mapiya was torn between both sides, feeling for either. Maybe what 'Suli needed was to not get ride of her wings, but have another to fly with. Ah, if only he, or one of his other siblings had been born with wings. Mapia was almost positive that if he had wings also than he would try his hardest to persuade 'Suli to fly as well.

.:|I R ENTERING|:. Foal's Name: Tsulah (means fox in Cherokee) if a boy; Sequoia (means redwood tree in Cherokee) if a girl Foal's Gender: male Prompt: 2
He wasn’t sure exactly how it had happened, it was just so sudden. One moment, he was playing happily by the family tree, marked with the four feathers of his father and sister, the next, a giant dark shape had come out of nowhere and was now standing before him. Tsulah’s eyes travelled slowly up, taking in a medicine hat painted coat, wings rustling restlessly on a broad back as intense, dual coloured eyes stared down at him. And for whatever reason the paint seemed to know him, and out of nowhere, insulted him, calling him an abomination, telling him he didn’t have a hoof to stand on in horse or wind races. He was stung, who was this stranger that would come up and insult him for no good reason? He didn’t even know him! Or…did he? Tsulah gave him a second look, this one more scrutinizing as faint echoes came back that sounded a lot like ‘Suli’s voice. Painted coat, wings, bi-coloured eyes. No, he knew who this was, his father’s arch enemy, there could be no mistaking it. Though he had never met him before, ‘Suli had told him plenty about this stallion.
“You…you’re Wild Wind,” he said in realization, comprehension slowly dawning on his features. “You’re the one that made Vidia leave! You were mean to her, you made her sad, made her cry. And now she’s gone, because of you.” It wasn’t so much of a statement as a pondering, a piecing together of the rough puzzle he was constructing out of what he heard from his family. His sister Vidia, whom he’d never met. The sister that had isolated herself from their family because she saw herself as ‘tainted.’ Saw herself as being unworthy because she was not a wind, and not of pure blood. Tsulah didn’t need this stallion’s confirmation to know it was true; one look at his arrogant features told him so. Wild Wind stood there, happy about it, proud of it. How could he be proud of ruining Tsulah’s sister’s life? It made him so angry at the stallion, so furious that the paint could consider his families sorrow a good thing. “What right do you have, claiming superiority over others like that? You’re not that much different!”
“Quite the contrary actually,” Wild Wind said with a satisfied smirk. “I, in case you have failed to notice, can fly. Something that mere horses can only dream about. I am you see, superior to you in every way, it is only natural to claim it.”
“That’s…that not true!” He said anxiously, voiced tinged with a note of desperation.
“Oh really? Are you sure about that?” The stallion asked with a sardonic grin.
“I-um, yes! Of course I’m sure. Of course…” But his voice was not quite as strong this time, a faint note of uncertainty slipping through, despite his best efforts to ignore the stallion’s words. Could it be true? After all, why had Vidia run away? Was there something his sister knew that he did not, something he hadn’t been told?
But no. He couldn’t allow himself to think like that, couldn’t allow himself to succumb to Wild Wind’s lies. For that’s what they were, lies. Or at least, that was what he hoped. It couldn’t be true. His mother was a grounded, and his mother was amazing! And his father loved his mother, he didn’t care that she had no wings. “You know, I’m sure there are things I can do way better than you could ever dream of doing them!” He told Wild Wind, determination and desperation mingling in his small voice.
Wild Wind’s only response was to throw back his head and laugh. “I’m sure…” He intoned in a sarcastic, patronizing voice.
“You’re wrong! I know you are. You have to be wrong. There are things out there, I’ll find them, and then I’ll prove it to you. There are things that grounded’s can do way better than you. I know it.” Tsulah insisted, somehow managing to sound a lot more determined that he felt. Evidently, Wild Wind had had enough fun for the day, for he just shook his head, and turned to go, leaping off the ground with an elegance, that, had Tsulah not hated him with a passion he might have grudgingly admired. Unquestionably, the stallion didn’t believe him; probably found him foolish and juvenile. But he would show Wild Wind. He needed to show him, needed to prove to himself that the stallion was wrong, that he wasn’t better because of his wings and his pure blood. Tsulah needed to know that he himself was as equally as deserving as Wild Wind of respect. He could not let his mind be overrun with those lies. And then he would find Vidia, he would find his long lost sister and show her that Wild Wind had been wrong all along! He would bring Vidia home and prove it. Prove it not only to his sister, but to Wild Wind, and most of all to himself. Winds were not better than groundeds, and pure blood did not make one better. Somehow, he would find a way to make Wild Wind see it, and make himself truly believe it.
No matter what, he would find a way. He would be better than Wild Wind, no matter what it took.
