Tabor gave Felix a look. Rising slowly he took a step towards the orange and green Namir, "The time you what?" he asked. Even if it had nothing to do with him he still wanted to know. Anything at this point that could get rid of this stupid number and it's stupid curse he would love to know.

Felix stared blankly past Tabor's shoulder, lost in memories. He finally snapped out of his trance, hastily replying. "Oh, it was nothing. Just..." he paused, looking Tabor seriously in the eye. "Can I trust you?"

Tabor gave a small bow of his head, "You have no reason not to Trust me. I'm bad luck, not heartless." He said, his pink eyes staring into Felix'. No smile crossed his face, he was as serious as the Namir before him.

Revealing his rarely seen serious side, Felix pondered Tabor's reply for a little while. "I see no reason that I can't trust you either," he finally replied. "Alright, I'll tell you. But, be warned, it's a long story." Felix settled down into a sitting position and began his dark tale.
"When I was small, I caused everyone bad luck. I don't know exactly why. See, my younger brother was picked off by an eagle when we were barely kits, and I haven't seen him ever since. We were playing together in the fields, and this eagle came out of nowhere and just snatched him away." Felix stopped, and looked at Tabor with bitterness in his eyes. "It should have been me. He was hiding in a hole, and the eagle shouldn't have seen him. I should have been picked off."

Tabor frowned, that was indeed a case of poor luck. He took a deep breath, "I seemed to have rather good luck as a kit...Well for the most part. I ended up somewhere, just kinda woke up there. I didn't know where I was, how I got there....Who I was...I had just kinda forgotten. Those were dangerous parts, full of crime, mysterious Namir...I got my name from a gypsy. She said it was unfortunate for me to fall into such a place. I made myself a life there...Met a few sympathetic Namir..." He stopped, wondering why he was sharing his past...Perhaps it was because Felix had been so open with his own.
"Did you ever find him? Your brother?"

Felix arched his eyebrows as Tabor revealed his past. "No, I didn't. Although everyday I wish I had been taken instead of him." Felix sighed, wondering what had happened to his brother. "I can't even remember his name now, or what he looked like," he continued.

Tabor placed a paw on Felix' shoulder, "Well don't torture yourself over it. I'm sure he's out there..." He took his paw back and stared up at the sky, "But you should keep looking. If you stop and give up on it you'll never find what you're looking for. I still haven't..." He mumbled the last part, it being more to himself than to Felix.

Felix turned curiously towards Tabor. "How do you know he's out there? I know I'll keep on searching, no matter what happens, but it seems so impossible at times..." He sat in silence for a while before continuing. "Find what? Do you also need to find something?"

Tabor shrugged, "I don't know if I know he's out there...But I just have one of those gut feelings...." It was true, Tay had one of those undeniable feelings that Felix was going to find his brother, he could just feel it. There was a long silence while Tabor debated answering the last two questions. He'd never told anyone what happened to him. He'd wanted to put it in his past and forget about it....Of course when your past follows you every day of your life it was a hard thing to do.
"Yes I need to find something....Or rather someone....." he said quietly.

"Well, I'm glad that you have one of those feelings, because now I know I'm going to find him, someday..." Felix looked at Tabor skeptically as he answered his final question. "Maybe we should work together to find them," he offered quietly. "Maybe then we'll have more of a chance..."

Tabor shook his head, "I'll help you look for your brother. But I don't think you can help me look for who I'm looking for." He frowned. He'd been looking for someone who he wasn't supposed to have to be looking for. She was supposed to just show up and fix what he'd started like she promised, he was supposed to be done wandering, searching, and being alone. But he'd yet to find her; the one who'd cursed him.

"Why not? You don't have to tell me," Felix said quickly after realizing his question may have been too personal. "And thanks," he mumbled. "I'm glad that you're helping me, but I feel strange not repaying you." Felix looked up at the fluffy white clouds floating lazily through the sky and sighed. "Maybe we should start searching. I doubt he was taken off the island, so maybe we should start traveling."

"Mostly because I don't know how to find her...And I think she still wants me to do something," Tabor said, the last part more so to himself than Felix, "And don't worry about repaying me. I have a debt of karma to pay off, and that's how you're repaying me." he laughed at this, the terms in which he applied karma to. But it wasn't as if that wasn't true, because that was the game, that's why he got the number thirteen in the first place.
He nodded, "So where do you think we should start going then?"

"Ah, I see." Felix didn't want to pester his new found acquaintance into anger, so he kept his mouth shut from any further questions about the mysterious circumstances under which they had met. "Let's see, do you want to go check the mountains first? The eagle's nest is probably up there."

If there was one place Tabor had never been, where he'd never wandered, it was the mountains. He'd heard the stories, and he wasn't too fond of heights. But he'd done a lot of things he didn't want to do.
"That sounds logical, so I don't see why not." he replied, taking a deep breath as he thought of how dangerous the mountains could be.
