"I love hunting, it's such a release!" She smiled following him and it didn't take long for them to spot some food and wow she then realised just how hungry she really was.

"Now they look nice!" She smiled lowering her body into the ground getting into position to move. She was use to hunting alone as well and so this was a strange thing to do but hey eveyone can hunt and a meal for two is better then one, especially when you never eat one all to yourself!

Farai found himself smiling at that and nodded, teeth bared just a bit so his grin was fierce. "They do indeed..." he half-growled, crouching down and moving along beside her.

"How about this," he whispered. "One of us flushes them out to get them running, then other can go after one?"

She looked at the herd and then back at him.

"I will go flush them out, you are probably stronger then I am so you would be able to bring one down quicker." She had a lot of faith in the stranger but then she was use to hunting and had done with males before. They were generally stronger then her so it seemed like a good idea to her!

She then moved away from him slowly, slinking through the grass, stopping, watching and then moving on again. She looked through the herd as she got closer and spotted one that seemed to be limping a little. Perfect.

She creeped forward a little more, one, two, three, she moved. She moved quickly scattering the herd and the one she picked out seemed not to want to move as quickly as the others so she ran between it and the herd making sure she singled it out.

Farai crept closer just behind the lioness for the first few feet and then peeled off in another direction - heading for where he thought the herd would probably run. It was the easiest path out of the area, so logical to think the stupid beasts would go that way.

And he was rewarded for his forethought when they did, indeed, go that direction.

He also saw what his partner was doing in singling out the wounded one and he quickly rushed out to leap for its throat.

Agua continued to chase the others away from the wounded one before turning to help her partner bring it down.

She ran over, noticing he didn't really need much help but she grabbed one of the back legs and pulled at it, hoping that the beast would buckle under the weight and loss of use of one leg.

She could smell the blood and the life leaving the animal. Oh yes this was good. It wouldn't be long now and she could get her jaws into this huge hunk of food!

Farai growled as he shifted his weight, noticing what Agua was doing as well. Oh, this was much easier than hunting alone!

In moments, it was over, and the male pulled back just a bit, licking at bloody jaws and giving the lioness a grin. "That went perfectly!"

She smiled and nodded before chuckling a little. He looked rather amusing with blood staining his fur around his mouth.

"Have you ever hunted with anyone before?" She was curious and had possibly already asked this question but she couldn't remember, the thrill of the hunt had made her mind a little confused over what had or hadn't been said.

"Well done, you hunt really well!" She smiled again before attacking the carcass a little trying to rip into where that meat was calling to be eaten.

Farai shook his head at that. Technically ... he had, but not with other lions. So it was different - and he was telling the truth when he answered her. "Not like this, no ... I'm a little surprised at how well that went, myself."

He smiled then and let out a little purr. "You do too. Thank you."

"Surprised, how come?" She was curious though she was also aware that she had finished eating and was now well, just pushing conversation when he might be wanting to leave. Thats what normally happened anyway. Though she was surprised to hear that he hadn't hunted with lions before. She loved hunting with others it meant chance of failing decreased hugely. It meant you could enjoy it more.

She would have blushed a little as he complemented her. She wouldn't have thought that she was that good but if he said so. She wasn't about to argue with him, not after a complement!

In fact, Farai wasn't even thinking about leaving at the moment. He was enjoying the time with the lioness ... more-so than he had enjoyed anything in quite a while.

Tilting head, he smiled faintly. "You know.. I'm not even sure why," he replied with a little shake of his head. "I suppose it's just that I'm not used to my own hunting going so well."

Shrugging slightly, he glanced about, almost as if casting for another topic. They could only talk about hunting so long, after all.

The answer he gave wasn't exactly well, she wasn't really sure. It was far from what she would have expected as he seemed a little distracted? Maybe she was boring him. It was a possibility as she wasn't the best at keeping conversation going.

She looked up at the sky and thinking about it she really did need to get going. She had a name to find and was glad she hadn't had to explain what hunting for her name meant. It was rather boring explaining it over and over again.

"I should probably be on my way..."

It was a passing comment. She didn't really want to leave but she wasn't sure whether she should intrude on him for much longer.

Farai looked just a little disappointed at that, but he nodded. "I suppose I should be too ... perhaps I'll see you again sometime."

And with that, he turned and wandered back toward Xibalba's lands, almost wishing that he had the courage to ask her to go with her, wherever she was headed.
