She strode forward head lowering so that the twin tines jutting from her forehead wer lowered towards his chest. She noted his hobbeling steps and the way he favored his leg and it made her grin crazilly, this would be far to easy indeed. She dove foreward at him very suddenly her hooves kicking up dirt as she launche dforeward ready to deal a death blow.

Martin frantically tried to get out of the way, but only succeded in exposing the upper half of his neck to Nightshade's twin horns. He screamed in agony as the points ripped through his flesh. He fell to the ground, choking and coughing, as blood poured out of the wound. He struggled to stay concious, but it was an uphill battle. His eyelids fluttered shut.

Shade stood over the fallen stallion swaying with loud purrs as she drank in the scent of blood. Her lips had curled back revealing pearly fangs and the horrendous horns on her head now gleamed red with the fresh blood slowly soaking into them. She wasted time as she stood there drinking in the sweet scent of so much blood spilling out beneath her but she didn't care.

Qin had heard Martin's frantic cries, and ran to where he had heard his son's voice. Upon entering the clearing, he was shocked to find Martin bleeding on the ground, and a vicious Kalona standing over him. She had a crazed look in her eyes, and was so occupied by Martin that she didn't even seem to notice Qin. He growled softly, and charged at the Kalona, raming his skull into the soft spot between her rib cage and hip bone. He screamed, "Get away from my son!

Shade never saw the attack coming but the instant Qin collided with her side she let out a blood curdling sound somewhere between a the death screech of a rabbit and a roar.
"F***ING FOOL!" She stepped back shaking her leg slightly "when I find you again lesser cur I'll tear that disgusting hide from your flesh as you breath and wear it like a skinwalker's pelt!"
Her voice was laced with a venom promise but for now the tired wounded kalona mare retreated into the shadows with a cackle that sent chills up the spine.
