First off, just because one legally has the right to shoot a burglar, does not make it morally, or even socially, acceptable.
Secondly, as has been pointed out, it's like locking your door and turning on the alarm system, but then leaving a spare key and the code to your alarm in a jar by the front door.
@Undiscovered Artist: That is hilarious. My immediate thought was something along the lines of:
"Well, it's too expensive to go see your mother for her birthday, honey, so let's just have wild sex!"

Haha.
You know if you take your prenatal pills they really don't take any vitamins out of you?
The pill makes it so that you don't lose all the vitamins you have..
Or so thats what the doctor said sweatdrop .
