Her ears perked up, Tiamat listened intently to Dakarai. It was nice to hear about his family. Though, unlike her family, Dakarai's family wasn't all here...or at least, that's what she gathered. "Really? My grandma and grandpa came here and settled down. But, my dad was very rebellious as a cub and liked to get into trouble." She giggled at the thought of her dad purposely getting into trouble.

She let her eyes roam over the lands and let her features light up, "Look! There's the watering hole we all played at earlier!"

Daka listened to Tiamat as she spoke more of her family. Thinking a moment on his, he knew his grandma was born here and his Momma somewhere else. Pulled off that thought track, his mouth was turned sideways in habit of bafflement. Getting in trouble on purpose? Being rebellious? Those were ideas he hardly could comprehend. Why in the world would anyone want to get in trouble, to rebel against their mommas? Mothers were the most wonderful lions ever; because his was everyone's was, so to cause trouble and risk upsetting them was just a foreign thought.

Then it made a bit more sense and he spoke as he looked out to the rogue lands, "I am like that with my father when he comes." While he didn't voice it, he really didn't like the lion, fur slightly raised on his back was the testament to the thoughts he wasn't trying to share. It wasn't that he didn't trust his green furred friend, one he happily thought of as one of his two best friends besides his older brother, it was he didn't want to dwell on it.

Distracted, happily, he looked to the watering hole and smiled, laughing lightly as he remembered their fun. He and Naga'nika had teamed up well and made a great surprise to the expert water fighter. Looking to the sky, he got an idea of how to end the day, since he had been away from the den too long, even if it was in all having a lot of fun. "There is so much to explore, why don't we use the watering hole as a meet up place to go exploring again soon?" Besides the watering hole, Pride rock and their dens, he could see all sorts of neat looking structures in the pride lands, including an interesting hole in the ground that he didn't know to identify as a gorge.

This was a place, he thought in the back of his mind, that he would have to revisit from time to time so long as it was allowed. The blue-eyed cub marveled at the idea of having this view every day, what sunsets and rises must look like.

As Dakarai dwelled on his own private thoughts, Tiamat's mind was working in a completely different direction. She wondered where her sister was and would have to find her to play. Though, her ears flicked at Dakarai when he spoke about his father. She didn't know anything about his father but she didn't bother to ask him either. If he wanted to talk about his family members, then she'd let him do the talking. All she cared about was that they were friends and had fun together!

She nodded, "There is so much to explore here, it's so big." At his suggestion, she grinned, "That's a wonderful idea, it'll be our meeting place!" Her gaze lingered on the sight before her, marvelling in it's beauty knowing that soon enough she'd have to head back.

Letting it go, they were having fun and he was going to ruin it by brooding, he smiled to her. Happy she agreed to have the watering hole be their meeting place, he looked again to see how close and far it to both of their dens. Cheering a bit, he was tempered by the knowing that he too would be going home soon. For a moment, he thought about what it might be like to live here again, but decided he liked where he was, always would but it was fun to pretend.

About to say something, what he couldn't recall since he saw a figure moving below. They were just a bit too far to get a clear view of who it was, but what scent he did get was familiar. Getting an idea for one last game to play for the day, he suggested, "See that cub over there? I think I know them, do you want to try sneaking up for a quick hello?" He was positive if it was someone they both knew, movement and a scent that he couldn't put his paw on right away was all he had to go on but he felt safe with it.

If not, it was starting to get late, they could walk down together and go home leaving the fimilar unidentifed cub in peace.

The sound of a game being thrown out there was too good for Tiamat to pass up. Her eyes lit up happily as she nodded her head, "Oh yes! That sounds like it could be a lot of fun!" She let her gaze linger on the figure, trying to figure out exactly who it was. But regardless, it would be a lot of fun, that she knew!

Smiling, Daka eagerly shed his imagining of being a king to go for the new game. Turning carefully, he was aware that the spot they stood had enough room for the both of them, probably even when they were completely grown; he still took care not to bump into his friend. With the room, he bound away, down the steps to the bottom of Pride Rock as quickly as he could. Glancing at his Grandmother's den, he then turned to the hunt only waiting for his partner in said hunt.

Little sounds, that his ears eagerly swiveled and sought to capture told him who it was he recognized, one of the rabbits he grew up with. Having never been taught to treat rabbits as family, not food, he only just thought to make mention to Tiamat when she got down to where he was. The rabbit would be fun to hunt, since he was well used to the cubs he grew up around just as the cubs are used to him.

As Dakarai turned and wandered down Pride Rock, Tiamat quickly followed. She made sure to be quiet as quiet as possible, since they were supposed to sneak up on the other. It didn't take her too long to come side-by-side to Dakarai. She glanced over at him with a grin as her tail flicked slightly. Eagerly, "I'm ready whenever you are!"

Dakarai smiled and laid out his plan, "I know who it is, a rabbit I grew up with. He is nice, used to playing with me and my siblings. They are hard to sneak up on." Rabbits have those huge ears, and good noses from what he had learned, but they were very good hunters, it was possible.

Crouching down, he slowly started forward; they were away from the rabbit by just enough that they could still talk without alerting his friend.

Her ears perked forward as she listened to Dakarai. Tiamat grinned playfully as she thought of a plan. "A rabbit? Really!" It wasn't very often she got to play with those of different species. The only other species she's had real close encounters with are cheetahs, since there is a family that lives right next to them. They are like her second family, since the male cheetah and her father had grown up together.

Mimicking her friend's movements, she crouched low to the ground. She made sure to keep steps nice and quiet, she didn't want them to be caught any time soon!

Smiling, the young golden cub crept ever forward, making tiny noises every now in then. This stalking silent was harder then it sounded, so he was learning. Luckily, the poor rabbit they were stalking didn't seem especially alert. Sniffing again, he was sure of it, it was a male rabbit that lived with the warren near his own den. That meant he had played lots with him, all the rabbits were really friendly and great playmates for his siblings and himself.

Glancing at Tiamat, she smiled bigger; she was doing a great job at the stalking too. It wasn't too surprising, he believed a great deal in her, and knew from experience she was great at stalking. Now that they were closer to range, he stopped and tried to think of what to do next.

Sure, they could run now and probably stood a good chance of catching the rabbit, but what fun would that be? A lot actually, it was just something he did a lot. So close they were as likely to be heard as to be seen soon. It would be a common problem, if one of them blended in the other would surely stick out, grass is either fresh and green or golden, not normally in the same place. Blue eyes traveled back again, to see what Tiamat was doing; maybe she had a favored method to use and show.

Low to the ground, Tiamat had her eyes trained forward. She held the rabbit in her sights. As she looked briefly at their surroundings, she easily picked up that the grass was not all one color. There were patches of bright green and others of dull green to gold-ish color. If they were to catch the rabbit, then they would have to split up because someone was sure to stick out.

She looked over at Dakarai. She raised her paw and pointed at herself. After she pointed at herself, she pointed in the direction of the grass that was more green. She would go that way around the rabbit. She then pointed at Dakarai and then the opposite direction. He should go that way since he would blend in more. By splitting up, they could close in on the rabbit much easier and hopefully pounce on it!

Making sure that he understood, she stood there for a moment before slinking off around the rabbit with her body low to the ground. She kept the rabbit in her sights and Dakarai in the corner of her eye.

Thinking, thinking, still nothing new. The rabbit was a friend of his, grew up with him, he knew his tricks. Smile tilited, he kept on thinking until Tiamat caught his attention, watching her movements, he looked to the grass she pointed at and to the other patch of grass. Eyeing both, he nodded, showing he understood.

Creeping forward, he got to the area he was supposed and settled down. For a about four seconds, it worked. Then, getting itchy to do something, he set about a plan, knowing the prey as well as the prey knew him. Breathing deeply he let out a fearsom roar, sounded like it went for miles to him. The little 'rawr' hardly fazed the rabbit who hopped back two paces and sat up to look around and figure out which cub he had found.

It was the plan, smiling, Daka stayed still to watch as the rabbit really got a surprise, he had done just what was wanted and was no in pouncing range. All would be great, unless of course, the rabbit turned around.

With Dakarai in position, Tiamat kept close to the ground. It was nice at a time like this to have a pelt that blended in to the grass. Her eyes were trained on the rabbit, keeping it in her sight.

Her ears perked forward slightly at the sound of Dakarai's small roar. It was a good idea, slightly fearsome, in her opinion, but soft enough to sound slightly far away. Good idea. Though, she had noticed the rabbit didn't seem to bother all too much. She gathered he must be used to all of these games then.

Regardless, she noticed how close the rabbit was to Dakarai and grinned to herself. Perfect, within pouncing range. She crept slowly and cautiously towards the rabbit, should he miss the pounce she would surely do it.

With the prey close enough for the 'kill' the small golden cub got ready to pounce. One good butt wiggle and off he sprang. Paws out, no claws in sight, he managed to land an almost perfect pounce. The rabbit had seen him and attempted to hop out of the way, hoping backward because it worked best against cubs.

Knowing how to counter, the cub flailed in mid air a second but landed right on the rabbit. Rolling to the side, he had his paws tightly holding the struggling slightly annoyed looking rabbit as he looked up to where Tiamat was beaming even if he couldn't quite see her clearly, her scent was there and so he knew she was besides the fact he saw her go there to hide.

The rabbit protested the pounce, but didn't look stressed out or bothered too much for it. After informing him that his mother was wondering where he was, the rabbit once more attempted to kick his way free.

Daka responded, fighting instinct to run home right way for Tiamat. "I'll go home in a second, I want you to meet one of my bestest friends." Looking back up, he hoped to see Tiamat come out to meet the rabbit they had stalked and captured.

Golden eyes watched Dakarai pounce on the rabbit. Once Tiamat was certain that he had gotten the rabbit, she couldn't help but smile widely, he did great!

Her ears perked forward as she heard him talk to the rabbit. She stood up and walked over to him and the rabbit. Her tail flicked slightly from side to side as she looked at the rabbit. "Hi! I'm Tiamat!" She greeted the rabbit happily before her gaze shifted to Dakarai, "You did awesome!" She knew it would have been soon enough that it would be time for them to part, but she didn't want to. They had so much fun today!
