And both the poll and your guys discussion proves one thing, D&D has something for EVERY playing style, and btw, theres weaknesses to both your fighting types, but also strengths

Definitely true. I see how the other way works too, both have pros and cons. I would even make a character that way.

I tend to make characters that are versatile with a few strengths, to prevent any major weaknesses... the problem with that is less chances to risk it and shine

Fenrir SongMoon Because I can pick up a greataxe and do triple the damage in one swing and not need to be harder to hit on account of everything is dead. xd Just pros and cons. Besides, what self respecting barbarian uses a rapier? *shun'd* T.T If not a rapier, then a scimitar. If I recall correctly, they have the same crit threat range. Also, I swear i'mma make a raging spellcaster now, just you wait. X3

Rinith Cresent rage would only help for two things, your out of spells, or you need to get the hell out of the area your in I've played a few spellcasters before and I gotta say, both of those situations happen fairly often! The +10 landspeed helps with the "run like hell" situations. And Rage Mage prestige class makes things fun too. Not the most efficient prestige class or class combo, but can be alot of fun to try. The reality is you can do alot better then 1 level of barbarian with your sorcerer, but if you're going for playing a fun and surprising character over an efficient one, you could do alot worse then trying that combo.

I think If I wanted to play a jobclass purely for fun I'd choose the Prestige "Apostle of Peace". You need to take 4 feats to get this class; Sacred Vow, Vow of Nonviolence, Vow of Peace, Vow of Poverty. I'd pick this class just to be a headache to DMs. Assuming I'd be hard to kill, I would cause all sorts of problems with my Vow of nonvoilence. Check it out here, at wizards' website: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20031004b

I find it pretty neat that each person who's voted has chosen something different. I'm just waiting to see which job will be the first to get a second vote.
