He was suprised she didn't hear his heart pouding when she cuddled against his side. When she confessed she wanted to stay with him, he was sure he had died and gone...somewhere!! He wasn't sure were but it was a good place.
He made a content whuffing sound low in his chest as he nuzzled her. "That will never happen sweetheart. I am not going to go off and leave you if I can ever help it."

Forte smiled at him and she nuzzled against some. She was happy to hear that, but she still felt that the last few weeks with him have been to good to be true. She didn't want to start getting paranoid that this was going to end. She wanted to stay with him after all... She didn't want to end up alone like she was before. "Then I want to stay with you." She looked over at him.

"How about forever?" The words slipped out before he could stop them. Liberty tensed slightly hoping that she wouldn't hear them but at the same time he prayed she would. Oh he knew it was early, they had only know each other a short time but...
He felt for her as he saw his father feeling for his mother. The way Cae looked at Piya , he caught himself gazing at Forte. Heard the same fondness in his own voice when he spoke about her, that Uncle Spike had for Aunt Birdy. She was made for him and he wasn't about to give that chance up.
"I..I mean it Forte...I really think I love you." His pink eyes were bright with hope as he smiled down at her.

Forte's ears twitched at the first question... She blushed brightly, had she not been black it might have shown... Her blue eyes up looked up at him, and it felt like a weird dream... Well not weird, but just... a dream. "I..I mean it Forte...I really think I love you." She could hear her heart beating, it had drowned the sounds of the night around them... She felt a weird feeling in her stomach, butterflies... She smiled back at him, as the deafening feeling started to go away, and she was able to find her voice again... "I really think I love you too, Liberty."

Surely he hadn't heard her right. He blinked at her stupidly a dazed look on his face. She...SHE LOVED HIM!!! It took all the young stallions strenght not to pass out like some foolish colt. A brillant smile broke across his face as he nuzzled her, making that odd happy grunting sound deep in his chest.
"I promise I will always love you Forte. Stay with me forever, let me be with you."

Forte returned his nuzzle happily, and giggled. He was always getting tongue tied around her. It was so cute. Forte's mind played with the ideas of their future... Liberty wanted to have foals, and she was up for it. A complete family like that, would be the perfect ending to their fairy tale, and the perfect beginning to a new journey. She shook her head some coming back to reality. She felt so safe and comfortable right now, she felt tired. "Liberty dear... Would it be alright if we laid down... I'm awfully tired." Even though they hadn't been out long, it was an eventful night, and she just wanted to stay close to him... Once he agreed, she would nestle in against his body and close her eyes.
