She bent and smelled some of the flowers and delighted in their fragrance. "Well you are lovely to take after these beautiful flowers." She flashed Tigerlily a warm smile. "Different tail?" Glitter arched her neck backward and flicked her multi-colored tail. "Different how?" She looked back at Tigerlily and cocked her head. "None of my family has a different tail." She furrowed her brow, perplexed. How different could it be? "Tell me about those others that you know. They are unicorns too, you said? I've only ever known my family." She paced slightly, anxious to here about others.

Well, that was definitely interesting, that no one had that... different tail that was suppsoedly such a unicorn trait. But then she knew there were some - much like her - who sported the horn and not the rest. It was fainly possible...
"Well, some I've seen - some how 'claim' it's such a trait of their kind - have a long tail kind of like the lions around here, with a tuft of hair at the end." She nosed some of the flowers, sniffing a moment. "But there are some like yourself who do not. I've seen one myself, by the name of Glory, who also has a marking like mine - entirely different, though, like a shooting star." She laughed a little, giving a toss of her head and causing the curls to bounce.
"I've always been slightly fascinated at the diffrences, really, since there seems to be no real difference otherwise. As far as I know, both with and without it can heal."
She shook her head slightly. "I've no known family here - I barely recall my own youth anymore, just little figments which I can't place or put time to. I don't dwell on it much - aside that maybe one day I will have my own family. Although... it takes finding the right person. A good family is a wonderful thing."

"Well then, if both of us with and without the tail can heal, then there must not be much of a difference at all." She smiled and sniffed a flower here and there. "Glory sounds lovely. There's so much beauty here." Her thoughts drifted to another such chance encounter with a beautiful being. An involuntary shudder ran through her. "Though there is much danger too, which is why my purpose is so important." She nuzzled the flowers thoughtfully. "You'll make a wonderful mother, I can tell." She rose her head and smiled at Tigerlily. "Family is very important and building one makes you stronger. That's what I believe anyway. There are many that rampantly spread their seed around as though it was meaningless." She frowned. Creating another life should be a sacred task, though she knew accidents could occur also. Still, she knew others out there held nothing sacred.

Tigerlily laughed a moment, then busied herself to sniff at a few wild roses by a tree. The scent was exhilirating, fresh and invigorating. "Well, some cannot help themselves, when nature decides to take a hand in things, and then you deal with what comes. Others are simply proud and full of themselves. Finding one who is true and right is a task, perhaps, but all things in time. I believe the same about family. Glory did a fine job with raising her own, and her mate is quite faithful. One day I hope I can be as lucky."
She sniffed at another batch of flowers, lower to the ground. "As for danger, yes... there is much in this world. Kalona outright scare me, to be honest. Just looking at them chills me. But then, some people have a foul temper no matter what they look like. I take it you had an encounter with something unplesant?"

Glitter giggles softly, blushing. She ground a fore hoof into the dirt softly. "I hope to find the right stallion someday," she said wistfully. "But I know that will take time." She smiled warmly at Tigerlily. "I wish you luck in that endeavor as well." She chuckled softly and shuffled through the flowers, enjoying the sweet fragrance and cool breeze that had begun to blow. She stopped and frowned at Tigerlily's inquiry. "Yes, I ran into an angel of Darkness. I've never known anyone so emotionless as he." She shuddered again. He could have destroyed her easily.

"Well, you're alive, so that's a good thing," she said, shaking her head. "I'm sure your family would have been sad otherwise... a shame the world is as it is in these days, but we will endure. Just have to have high hopes and go for the best, right?" She seemed to perk up, and smiled a bit. "That's why I enjoy the flowers - it's something good and bright, and fills me with hope and perserverance despite worries and fears."
She carefully picked a flower and moved over to carefully put it in Glitter's hair. "For you, a reflection of what a bright and cheerful person you are." The flower was a gorgeous shade of pick with a fainly white center hiding in the middle.

She grinned. "That is my purpose in life, to hold to hope and bring it to those who have none!" She chuckled again and blushed as Tigerlily placed the flower in her hair. "You're so kind, I hardly know what to say. It's such a lovely flower, but you don't need to give me anything! You gave me a great race and wonderful company, and for that I am truly grateful." She smiled and wrapped her neck around Lily's in an embrace. She pulled away, careful not to knock the flower out of her hair. "I'm glad to have run into you today. You're such fine company, and great to race against! We'll have to have a rematch sometime." She chuckled and flicked her tail absently. "What is a kalona? You mentioned it a few minutes ago. I haven't had the experience of meeting one."

She laughed a bit, smiling. "Yes, a rematch will definitely have to occur," she said with a grin and excitement in her eyes. "I look forward to that day! And yes I did, you've given me a wonderful day full of excitement and some company, and for that I am grateful."
She sighed a moment, dwelling on how best to explain a Kalona. "They are build much like us, except they have wings like a bat - which ugh, I hate bats so much.... scary hideous things popping out of nowhere and making a fuss! The Kalona are horribly tempered, mean, vicious and spiteful. I've yet to meet one who wasn't but maybe those exist... who knows? I try not to find out, after seeing one... well, doing something unpleasant." She sighed again, and shook her head. "They sport horns on their head as well, a pair though, and a long whip-like tail." She flicked hers, letting the hair rustle a bit. "Thankfully you don't see them too often in this particular area."

She tried her best to imagine what it was that Tigerlily described. She shuddered at the picture in her head and was glad they'd be so easy to spot. Some evils were a lot less markable from a distance, but it was good to hear that some were easily spotted. She made a mental note to avoid kalona at all costs. Shaking the thoughts from her head she brought herself back to the present moment. "Where do you live, Lily?"

"I live along the river, a bit off the main part, near some woods," she replied, movign her ehad slightly to get a coil of hair from her eyes. "I keep in an area where w two-legger is, and his Soquili there. I'm not always there, like now, but one of them there would know where I went. It's a ncie place and it's good to have someone look after my hair sometimes. The two-leggers are so nice about us."
Seh tilted her head slightly. "What about yourself? Do you have some place to call home?" With a family, there was likely a chance of that, but there was also the chance that Glitter had struck out on her own to find a place for herself, too.

She gave Tigerlily a friendly smile. "Oh yes, I live near the village as well! I'm not there much of late, being a bit of an adventurer, but I always return there. Not too far from there is my mother's herd, the True Spirit herd. They like to help the two-leggers whenever possible and protect the lands." She beamed with pride as she finished her explanation. "In fact... well I struck out to find some of the dangerous creatures I hear about such as kalona. I wish to help my mother in protecting the two-leggers from such creatures and would do better to know them more personally." Her face grew grave. She knew her path was a dangerous one, but she felt it necessary.

"Ah, the village is a ncie place, I've been there once or twice," she said with a nod, listening and contemplating. "Hmmm, an admirable task. I would think though you're better suited then I to it." She made a gesture towards the horn atop Glitter's head. "I'd just say be careful in dealing with them. Some are less vicious then others, but... a danger is a danger. I wish you luck in your travels!"

She nodded solemnly. "Yes, I will try to be as careful as possible in my quest. Hopefully, though, I'll run into far more pleasant creatures such as yourself and the nasty beings will be fewer on my acquaintance list." She smiled and chuckled at the lovely mare. "I wish you luck in finding all you desire in life." She beamed happily at Tigerlily and turned to go. "I'd best be on my way if I'm to meet all the baddies before I'm old!" She winked and started off to new adventures.

Tigerlily nodded to the unicorn, giving one last sniff at the flowers. "I doubt you'll get too much older before you find what you seek, perhaps. And more, if life is good enough to you. Farewell!" She lingered in the spot only a moment longer before making her way back towards her own home, given thigns to think on, and a new energy. She trotted along, curls bouncing as she hummed on her trip back.
