Zach grinned at the look on the other's face. He'd had a similar reaction the first time he walked in here, a while back. Now, he was used to the sheer amount of stuff and glanced around before reaching over to snag the other's wrist.
"Ok then, this way," he said cheerfully, towing RuiZhi behind him toward the back of the store. Tucked away in a corner, there were several charms and the like made of natural woods, as well as things like bamboo plants and so on.

The young teen practically squeaked with surprise as he was taken by the wrist and lead, feeling sheepish for his reaction but grateful that Zach had taken the initiative. It was all so much to take in that RuiZhi could have taken all day to look through the store.
"Oh, wow," he commented intelligently as he beheld what he was being shown, "thanks, Zach." He at least wanted to impart his gratitude for the help, skittish as he may be. It was a little comforting though, as Scyeth had been the same way when they'd first met, taking the lead and being his normal whirlwind self so that RuiZhi could barely keep up. That made him feel a little more at ease, some of his anxiety fading.
Browsing the items, he couldn't help but to touch some of the sanded and carved woods. The work was exquisite! "I wonder if any classes teach stuff like this," he mused out loud. Sure, it was about saving the human race and other such heavy handed concerns, but tools of the trade to survive, to make an honest living, or at least to have as a hobby to keep from going completely mad would be a welcome break.

Zach rocked back and forth on his heels a little - not really impatient, just needing to move sometimes. "I dunno," he replied at that, head tilting a little bit to one side.
"Maybe... probly one of the nature-y ones, don't you think?"

RuiZhi glanced over to his new-found friend, noting the anxious rolling on his heels. "Yes, I think that'd be best..." He returned his attention to the dangling charms and necklaces, not feeling rushed but feeling it necessary to make a choice before he lost his nerve. Slender fingers curled around the items before pausing over a particuarlly dark ensemble of a black cord and what appeared to be an obsidian fang of some sort, polished and glimmering brighter than the items around it despite the dark color.
"Ah," he intoned softly, removing the necklace and looking at the dark stone against his palm, turning it to see the way the light caught its hues, "I think I found what I was looking for." It was one of those 'it called to me' moments, something easy to accept but hard to explain, so with a fond smile, the Chinese youth turned and motioned towards the counter. "I'll get this then. Is there somewhere else you wanted to go?" RuiZhi didn't want to force himself as a tag-along, but he knew he'd want to give this to Scyeth as soon as possible.

Zach peered at the one RuiZhi had chosen and grinned. "Oh yea, that one's nice. I'm sure your friend will like it!" he said quickly, nodding.
Then he thought for a moment about the other's question. He did want to wander around a bit more, since that's what he'd come here for. But at the same time, he could tell RuiZhi was just kind of asking to be polite, so he shook his head.
"Nah. I'm good. Go ahead and find whoever you're giving that to, if you want to," he replied with a smile.

The quiet teen gave a thoughtful nod, brown eyes turning over the object against his light palm. He'd buy it, take it back to the dorm and...he had to personalize it. The thought popped into his head, startling him a little; he didn't want to give Scyeth just anything of the mall wall, he wanted it to be special. To mean something.
RuiZhi gave Zach a grateful smile. "I think I'll do that," he said lightly, although his tone was brimming with the promise of excitement. His mind was already turning over ways to craft the item into something more personal. "I have something I'll need to do before I give it to them, but...thank you, Zach! You helped me out a ton!" The teen bowed to the other, humbled by the student's kindness. Not everyone was so open and willing to help others.

Zach nodded at that and smiled at the other - glad to hear that excitement in his voice. He liked helping... that was part of why he was here, after all.
"Good luck! I hope that your friend likes it," he said, bowing in return. Then he turned to browse a bit in the rest of the store before heading back to his own dorm.
