"Berries are really good, dad's taken me to eat them before." He said laughing softly and scuffed his back hoofs on the ground.
"Don't you have a mom or dad that you should be with?" He had been wondering that for a while. I mean wouldn't she be out with her parents? Then again same could be asked of himself, but he'd run off quickly from his father and the teepee.

"No. What are those?" She asked, staring at him curiously. "It is just me out here." She added now with a hint of confusion and perhaps sadness in her voice. Maybe her life was abnormal compared to other foals, she had never known before now.

"A mother and father...your parents. Mother gives birth to you and a father is...wel..." How to explain that or even tell someone a father was a father...the other parent. He didn't know about reproduction so he was clueless on how to really define a fathers role but he knew a mother gave birth to you.
"I have a mother...a father and a brother who's older then me." Asa spoke softly. Was he odd...having a mother and father around and a sibling? or was she...odd with such a lack of family? He couldn't really tell.

"Oh, I don't have any of those. At least I don't think I do, well I suppose I must have one out there somewhere, but I don't know where they are. I came out of my basket and there was no one else there." She said quietly, as she watched him then glanced ahead to see if she could see the trees yet.

"I've never heard of coming out of a basket and no one being there...my mother was there when I came out of mine and my brother, he came out of his before I came out of mine." He aid slowly. Slowly making his way toward where he was sure the trees were his hoof steps careful, he didn't need to step in a less then safe place.
