Two mothers? This conversation was getting weirder and weirder, and yet, he could tell that Rokopelli was being genuine about it all, despite her own confusion. "Hm, We wonder where grey 'Mummy' could be." The large God lifted the paw that he was using to cuddle the Goddess so that he could stroke his beard, apparently in thought. "Perhaps We could return to your Pride lands and help you find her." It was a nice thought, but then he remembered that Rokopelli lived in the desert, and going there wouldn't be much fun for him at all. Still, he wanted to help.
His train of thought was interupted as Rokopelli went on, causing him to frown. It wasn't an angry frown, just a frown that represented how hard he had been thinking. He truely wanted to help this Goddess. "Something bad?" Bahari'nswi's expression soon softened. "We are sure it couldn't have been that bad. We know that you're a good Goddess."

Her face was filled with thoughtfulness and when he spoke again she wondered, where was Mummy Koya? She remembered being in a pride...was it by the sea? No, that was Juukie! Oh, right, it was in the desert.
"In the desert it is. A pride by...an oasis and a big scary building where bad birdses live!" She chirped suddenly. "Well, she was there but she might not be there no more." She shook her head sadly. "She might have gone when we went too." So that was it then., She'd lost two mothers now.
And then she shifted guiltily, for though Pelli was more brash and confident there was still guilt about what had happened in the past. For deep down she was a good and caring creature.
"Mummy thought it was bad. Our other Mummy that is." She sighed. "She sealed us away for a looooong time. But don't worry. We're gonna get her and teach her a lesson!"

An oasis? Whenever he visited any desert, an oasis was a rare treat that he always hoped to find. He couldn't recall ever finding one near a scary building though. "Well, that would probably be the best place to start, if that was where you last saw her." The large God closed his eyes for a moment. All this thinking about others hurt his head, as he wasn't really used to it.
He opened his eyes again when he felt Rokopelli shift away from him. Bahari'nswi almost looked sad as the small Goddess spoke about being sealed away. "How horrible. If you want, We will help you teach her this lesson." Apparently the God of Fish was a big believer in revenge.

She nodded slowly, sadly. Bahari didn't know it, but she couldn't go back there. Not yet...not until she'd been forgiven by her friend, her familiar. She missed him incredibly but until his anger had gone she could not hope to ever return.
"Was horrible." She replied. "Very dark. Very lonely. We only had one another to talk to." Her wings drooped but they picked up again when the God offered his help. Her bi-coloured eyes brightened and her ears lifted hopefully.
"We would appreciate that. Until we get control of our powers than we can't ever hope to beat her." She nodded fiercely. It might not have been obvious to tell - since she was so incredibly innocent on the surface - that her intentions were to kill her mother.
"Then when we get revenge we don't need to be scared no mores." She ruffled her feathers and gave a little chuckle. "Thank you Mister." She wriggled contentedly. "We're gonna be friends forever now, yes? We want to get lots of friends so we're never lonely again."

"Sad. So sad." The God repeated, now genuinely upset about what he had heard. How could anyone do such a thing to such a sweet and innocent Goddess? It didn't even bear thinking about. "We will help you. We promise." Bahari'nswi bowed his head to seal the deal. "Whenever you ask it of Us, We will come to your aid." The large God flexed his wings. Although his powers probably wouldn't do much against a fellow God, he could deliver a mighty smack with one of those big paws.
At the talk of friendship, Bahari'nswi smiled. "Of course. We'll be your best friend. We are the best, and therefore We would be your best friend." The way he said it, it sounded like actual fact.

That was it then. She'd made a friend. No. Not just a friend, a best friend. What a great day this was turning out to be! As far a Rokopelli was concerned, making friends was the most fantastic part of life. It helped make her feel safer and she knew, with them, she'd never feel lonely again.
Not unless her mother caught up with her, of course...
"We'll be best friends then." She wasn't about to argue with the God. To her he did indeed seem the best. He was fluffy, huggly and very much empathetic to her pains. He understood her.
"When we get stronger we'll look out for you too, okay? That way it'll be fair." She smiled wide. "Next time we meet, maybe we'll bring Juukie. He likes the sea too. He probably likes fishies too."

"It's a deal." Bahari'nswi once again nodded his head. The large God had never found it easy to make friends. In fact, it was one of the very few things that he would admit to not being very good at. Today though, he had made a wonderful friend, one that he was sure to stick by forever.
At the mention of Juukie, Bahari'nswi grinned. "Our creations are the best part about the sea, so if he likes the sea, We're positive that he likes the fish that inhabit it." After saying that, the God looked out over the sea. "Speaking of Our creations, We think it would be best if We got back to them." He then turn back to Rokopelli. "We have truely enjoyed your company Rokopelli, and We hope to see you again very soon." With that, he gave the Goddess a tender nuzzle before walking back into the sea. Once he was out far enough, he dived down, and then he was gone.
