Yeata Zi Anyone else think the update is a little racist? XD Anywaaaaaaaaays..... Damn gaia and their guns. How is it racist? They seem to have tried to make everything quite historically accurate. Is traditional Native American clothing somehow more offensive to you than traditional Japanese clothing or ancient Egyptian clothing or period French clothing? I assume you're talking about the Native American clothes, anyway. If they do offend you... well, I'm going to just hope you get my point and stop here...

Volucris Ego YES!! WE HAVE WINGS!! ....errr....sorta. sweatdrop I really don't care about the other items, I just want my long awaited black feathered wings. It's too bad they don't have a black version of the duster coat. I could've worked it into a nice GiB outfit. I think gaia has left black items or something because they are all grey now! ><

Yeata Zi Anyone else think the update is a little racist? XD Anywaaaaaaaaays..... Damn gaia and their guns. GCD was being a b***h about it when they first came out. -_-'' None of them were Native Americans, but they felt the need to complain. It pissed me off, to be honest. The Saris weren't thought of as racist, the kabuki outfits weren't racist, the Luck o' the Gairish weren't racist. These are even better than those items and people had to be all fussy.

Lmfao, the items are definitely not racist.
Perhaps if they were traditional ceremony dress (ie. A regalia set), that would be disrespectful. But, such items have not been created.

FlameOfEternity Yeata Zi Anyone else think the update is a little racist? XD Anywaaaaaaaaays..... Damn gaia and their guns.
Stereotypical, yes.
Racist, no.
They did call them Native Americans, right?Stereotypical in a positive sense. They did a good job creating these Native American items without any intention of "poking fun" at Native Americans for being Native Americans or for their style. Rather, they created items most of us would know and appreciate. In fact, this is more like a tribute to Native American style, don't you think? Just by making a set like this, the Native American culture is represented on Gaia. Just look at the headdresses, you could tell the designers put a lot of effort into these Native American items.

Cowboy vs. Indian movies are considered racist... and the whole point of Cowboy indian movies was to slaughter native americans and portray them..... as.... often savages. I mean..... I don't really care. I'm much more upset by the guns. (you know.... which I always will be) I was just making a bit of a mild Zi point.... then I had people jump down my throat... which happens more and more often, I think. I wish Gaia had focused more on different styles of Native American clothing... because they're are different tribes with different style clothing.... and such. but again..... I don't care as much any more. ever.

Very true, it is more of a tribute than anything else.
I would only have got annoyed if they items were called 'Indian Headdress' etc, because that's really disrespectful to Native Americans. However they used the correct names (as far as I know) so I'm ok with it. xD
