At those words, Ignacio froze with his hand on the handle of the fridge. Slowly, he turned to study his friend and his nose wrinkled. Overall, the strange look on his face spoke of deep thought and confusion. "Uh, so are you, man," he finally answered.

Had he said the wrong thing? For a second Rudolfo's face was blank, then he grinned. "That's what I meant," he said. "Anyone that's alive grows, right? Grows taller, or fatter, or older. And since I am clearly alive, I plan on growing as well."
Who would have thought Iggy would pick up on something like that?

Shaking his head, Ignacio laughed. "You're crazy, man," he answered and he sounded for all the world exactly like his father. "Esta loco. C'mon. What do you want to eat? Grilled cheese okay?"

"It's fine, perfectly fine," Rudolfo said, only happy that the other boy had obviously bought it. Yes, he thought, he would have to thank Antony for choosing this home to stay in. It was a lot easier than that redheaded girl's place, he was certain.

"Okay." Ignacio proceeded to retrieve cheese from the fridge and bread from the drawer. He sometimes cast a puzzled look over his shoulder but, finally, he shrugged and focused on cooking. "We'll figure out where you're gonna sleep after we eat."

"That sounds fine to me," Rudolfo said in agreement.

"Okey dokey." Half-shrugging again, Ignacio turned fully back to the small counter and the heating pan atop the stove. He began sawing at bread and cheese. Food first. He always thougt on a full stomach... Maybe that would calm Antony down, too.
(End here?)
