He was quiet again as he sat down, his tail flicking about in the air, his eyes narrowing as he stared out ahead. Could he go and become her warrior? Would it finally give him the purpose in his life he desprately needed? If he did, one day, he might go back to his family again, even though he knew his mother was worried for him now. But he would finally be able to go back proud and show them he was worth more then being a monster.
".....I will go with you...and I will be your warrior. And I will make it so everyone fears the name Cornelius Barbossa-Swann." he said with a growl, a smile coming to his maw and his fangs poking out more.

Ching smiled a bit and approached him, raising a paw and lightly patting his head.
"Respect, Cornelius. Respect is far greater than fear," she replied before turning and walking back to her fish. She ate a bit more before leaving it.
"Shall we return, now? My den is a good ways away, but not too far," she said holding out her paw in the direction.
"You are free to find or make your own den on my lands, and I have a warriors' den set up in the case that some do not want their own den or as temporary lodging. You are as of yet the only warrior, so you wouldn't have to share, but Hsu has told me that there are a few males that have considered it, so you would probably not have it all to yourself for long. There are also a few rules, but I do not think you would find them so extensive as to be a problem."

Respect? Now there was a concept he thought he would never get. He looked to her when she gestured to where she lived, where he could live (on his own or in the dens) and how there would be rules. He snorted and shrugged, "I care not if there are other males in the dens with me, as long as they do not bother me too much." he growled out, turning himself to go along with her.

Shih shrugged as she walked, somehow managing to make the gesture regal instead of child-like.
"I have met those that would hate otherwise," she replied, walking along leisurely, Chih-kai by her side. Every so often he would chitter something in agreement.
"As a warrior, it will be your duty to help protect the territory and those within it. And deal with trouble-makers, as well. My warriors do not have to pay the tax of the land, should you perform your duties to the territory," she explained as they walked beneath the trees. A smile bloomed on her face and her eyes narrowed slightly in pleasure.
"I am very pleased that you chose to join us. You will have to prove yourself, but I have little doubt that you can be the strongest of my warriors."

He listened to her as she explained to him what his duties would be and how he would need to prove himself. He followed after her, a little ways behind her, "....I will do as you say. I just ask that once in a while, I am permitted to visit my mother. I know she worries for me and I wish for her to know I finally alright." he asked.

Shih chuckled a bit and nodded.
"Of course, of course. She's welcome to visit you as well, whenever she and your father like," she replied as they continued walking towards the boundary of her territory.
