He nodded smiling at her happily, " That' it love. Nothing quiet compairs to it." He remembered playing in the waves as a little child, his father a strong silent figure that kept him and his brother Snugs from being washed away.

As they reached the beach, Forte looked out at the water. "Wow, its huge..." She commented in a light tone. She was amazed at the area, and the sand, felt funny, not like the solid ground she's usually on. she walked out onto the beach and she looked over at him.

Libety laughed at her wide eyed excitement. She was so sweet and innocent. He just loved the way she looked at the world. Moving forward he trotted to her side nickering softly. "it's amazing huh? me and my brother use to play here all the time."

She nuzzled him lightly, before she looked back out into the water. The sun felt hot against her back, and she twitched her ear. "You have a brother?" she asked him, she hadn't heard about this before.

His smile was tender when she nuzzled him. When she asked he nodded "Aye I have a twin brother Snugs. He lives with our mother Hugs and her herd." He suddenly darted away into the water laughing "Come on!! Let's play tag!"

Forte blinked at him. She hadn't even thought of his birth mother, and when he ran off she watched him, thinking a little more, before she trotted after him. Stopping at the water she placed her front to legs in, and she felt a little hesitant at going in further. She ocean was large... and it felt stronger then the river.

His grin was teasing as he watched her. " Awww come on Forte it won't bite ya!" He kicked up his heels flinging water at her as he charged the surf, rearing up at the last second to kick out at the waves, squealing a challenge to the hug ocean.

Forte giggled at the splash of water, but when she watched him, she had gotten a little frightened. The ocean was pretty to look at... She inched forward, almost more scared that the water was going to take him away. "L-liberty.." She loved water, but this was something new to her.

Liberty blinked at him as she called out to him. Trotting back to her side, his pink eyes were warm and loving as he nuzzled her "come on sweetling, trust me. I will never let anything hurt you." He nuzzled her sweetly "come on love, let me show you."

Forte returned his nuzzles, and whimpered following him out slowly, the sand had swallowed her hooves, because of the water. She looked at him and lowered her head a little. "I'm scared.., I feel like I'm sinking."

"Shhhh love it's alright, I am right here. Remember I promise nothing will get you while I am here." He nuzzled her , " Just relax and feel the water swirling around your legs. The ground is still there, we won't go deep enough that you can't touch." His voice was soft and soothing as he stayed between her and the open ocean so all she could see was the beach or him.

She continued to follow him out, she watched him, nuzzling him back, as she moved forward, feeling the water's current. Her tail rested in the water, it wasn't to bad...

Being just a tad taller than her, Liberty was still able to walk easily but it would soon be easier for her to swim. "come on sweetheart swim, I am right here I promise you are safe." He never stopped talking to her, letting his voice stay warm and soothing as they swam in the vast ocean. "you are doing wonderful. Just think, my da use to take us as small foals and he would never let us do anything even slightly dangerous. Nothing will happen to you, I won't let it."

Forte walked out with him, and soon the water was around her middle and she was forced into swimming. Her ears focused on his voice, as the water pushed and pulled her. She looked at him as he talked, taking interested in what he was saying but was unable to respond.

When she started to seem the slightest bit tired he helped her back towards the beach, supporting her untill all four feet were on the sand again. He nickered to her softly as he nuzzled her wet neck " See? You did wonderful. Nothing happened except you had fun."
