Zofia had seen it but didn't say anything, instead she just giggled at his little dance. "Well it is rather hard to explore when you are running through the forest, missing all of the things to see." She said in a matter of fact sort of way, before joining him in looking at the canopy and seeing nothing of interest. She then trotted after him, careful to look where she was going. "Maybe there is something worth exploring deeper in the forest." She said staring off past him, into the darker part of the forest, where the canopy grew thickest.

He nodded in agreement but still made a face as if he'd just eaten something bitter. "Who asked for logic?" He asked it teasingly and winked at Zofia, also careful of where he was stepping. Peering ahead as she mentioned going deeper, Tiggs almost felt a twinge of fear pass through him as they drew nearer the thicker woods. It was always possible that there was something waiting in there for two innocent, snack-sized, soquili to pass through... And he wasn't sure he wanted to be eaten just yet. With those thoughts he slowed his pace a bit, but refused to stop.

"It's worth making the trip to find out," he finally said in answer to Zofia's mention of exploring further. "Let's just be sure that our adventure doesn't end inside the tummy of a larger animal."

Zofia trotted forward before he even answered, she now had the idea in her head, and she was going to see it through, even if it was a bit scary. After a moment of waiting for him to reply, she glanced back. 'Was he actually scared?' She wondered. "No, that wouldn't be much fun. But we haven't found such a creature yet." She said, intent on not letting the prospect of getting eaten ruin their fun, why worry about something that hadn't happened and probably wouldn't happen.

Galloping just enough to catch up to Zofia, the little stallion looked over at her with peering eyes. "I was only kidding, anyways." Of course, he hadn't really been but his friend didn't need to know that. A part of Tiggs was interested in what meeting something dangerous would mean to their little adventure, as well as what they'd do in such a situation, but he was very content to leave those questions unanswered for awhile. This was the first time Tiggs had really gotten to be around another soquili in a long time, and it wasn't being interuppted by the weather for once. He was liking it that way.

"So what do we do now?" He knew the whole point to an adventure was following your gut, but he wanted Zofia to make the first big decision.

Zofia trotted steadily through the forest and over the tree roots, some of which almost came up to her knees as the trees grew closer together. She ducked under the low growing ferns. Her dark brown eyes flicking back and forth looking for anything interesting but only spotted a toad under some leaves. "I don't know." She said after a moment of thought, looking for a path or just someplace interesting to go. After another moment of thought, and looking in all the directions ahead of them, she finally picked one that looked like it was more open and the trees started to thin. She hoped there would be something interesting on the otherside of this little forest, so she trotted forward again. "Let's just see what is on the otherside." She said, hoping it was something interesting otherwise it wouldn't be much of adventure.

Completely happy with the decision to just continue nosing about, Tiggs followed Zofia steadily and with a smile. The fact that the woods got darker as a rare cloud passed overhead didn't really register with him, he was just happy that'd she'd not wanted to turn back and ditch him. With a happy canter, he picked up his pace to get next to her again and hummed as they walked. Maybe, if anything were out there, his song would confuse them enough for them to be left alone.

... He hoped.

She continued on, a little unnerved by the silence. Until he started humming a song she didn't know the tune of. She listened intently for a moment, but still didn't know it or where it may have come from. No matter in her mind, she'd find a topic of conversation soon enough, if she kept looking. But after a few minutes of searching, all she could see were more trees, a few bugs including a giant millipede, and some strangely shaped rocks. 'Some idea I had.' She thought. After a few more moments of near silence, "Well, where do you want to go next?" She asked, seeing as her idea hadn't turned up anything interesting, she hoped he had a better one.

(Sorry it took me so long to reply)

After nothing but his own nonsensical humming Zofia's voice startled Tiggs into something akin to a nervous giggle. He just wasn't sure if he was nervous because he was in the woods alone with an attractive mare, or because he was alone in the woods with an attractive mare that was just as small as he was. The more he thought about it the more he realised that today would not be a good day to get himself eaten. As his ears twitched a thousand times a second, or so it felt like, listening for any signs of creeping doom; Tiggs mulled over the usdia's options in his head.

Well, they could keep going and attempt to make idle small talk and be generally awkward... That would only work if he wanted to make any moves towards Zofia in a romantic type way, and the little golden stallion wasn't too terribly sure he wouldn't have to worry about his female comapnion killing him before anything larger got to him. So that was a no.

Taking a casual gaze at Zofia, he finally smiled and shrugged. "I've got no idea." He was hopeless and he knew it. He nudged his shoulder into hers gently, and nodded back towards where they'd come from.

"We could always head back and seek out more... Uhm... Pleasant ways to occupy ourselves?"

"More pleasent than the slightly creepy forest?" She said with a grin, even though her hoof had just landed on a snail, at least she hoped it was a snail. "Alright, let's go back to where we started, and then try and find some place more interesting, or perhaps it will be more interesting when we get there." She said leaning into him as he brushed against her shoulder.

"I mean the stars might even be coming out by then, and we wouldn't know in here." She said staring up at the canopy and seeing only tiny pin-pricks of light filtering through. She straightened up a bit so they could both walk without the risk of falling over, waiting for him to take the lead, since her plans seemed to have lead to a rather dull place.

The stallion cringed at the popping sound under the mare's hoof but with a happy whinny, Tiggs grinned broadly at Zofia when she leaned into him. "Yes, I have a feeling anywhere or thing would be more pleasant at the moment. It's getting to dark and quiet for me in here." Looking up at the trees and leaves above, he gave a shiver and and then looked squarely ahead of them.

"Maybe there won't even be any clouds tonight," he said in a very glad sing-song way. He made the first step forward and then began to prance his way back the way they had come, where there was still a soft shine of light coming through the vast trees surrounding him.

Zofia followed close behind, cantering a few strides and throwing in a little buck, she was feeling restless in the confines of the forest, she just hadn't realized it until they were leaving it. She then fell in stride beside Tiggs, keeping pace quite easily as she hopped over a fallen log. "I hope there won't be any clouds." She said trotting as close to him as she could, without tripping both of them up.

The yellow stallion continued his pace and smiled as Zofia talked. Was this the "small talk" the two-leggerhe lived with spoke about? It certainly seemed that way, and it was rather pleasant. Small talk could certainly be a good way to distract each other until they got out of the forest. He glanced over and Zofia and how close she actually was and felt a heat rise to his face. She was very pretty, wasn't she?

He didn't know it, but he was starting to get to that age where hormones and the want to have a family were starting to hit him. He'd always been too young at first, and well... a Care Bear, but now those things weren't issues. The feeling was certainly strong, though, and he could feel it acutely by the time they got to the opening of the trees. The sunset was just hitting the horizon and an expanse of stars were starting to dot the sky. "Funny," he said aloud to Zofia, "I didn't think we'd been exploring that long."

Zofia didn't feel very nervous at all, she was quite comfortable around him, but noted that he seemed a bit anxious. She tried to rule it off as being on account of the creepy forest, but it seemed to continue even as the got out of it. Was this sort of thing supposed to be intimidating? Was she doing something wrong? She'd have to think these things over later.

"Time flies when you are in a creepy forest that might be filled with things that eat you?" She said with a grin, playfully nibbling and tugging on one of his braids. "I like this time anyway, when the stars start to come out." She said, though part of her reasoning wasn't because it was pretty, but because it was a good time to run as hard as you could, and hope you didn't crash into anything in the dark.
