She rose to her hooves quickly. Stepping forward to close the distance between her and her mother. Nuzzling the older mare affectionatly with a smile. "Its nice to see you again mother. How have you been?" Turning her head she smiled at Ramus. "You remember Ramus don't you?"
Firefly nuzzled her daughter back. The same soft smile on her lips. It was always long periods of time between visits with her children. But she always charished those times. Nodding her head towards Ramus, a slight smirk coming to her lips. "Unexpected indeed. And yes, I remember this young stallion." There seemed to be something lingering in the air. The older mare could feel it. They hadn't come here just to visit and she turned a curious eyebrow to her daughter. "Why have you come?"

Ramus got to his feet after Dafina did and gave a nod to Firefly. grinning over at Dafna when she smiled at him, he stayed silent. it was best he allowed Dafina to do the talking and ask the questions plus the question her mother just asked was not directed towards him anyways. flicking his tail, he waited.

Taking in a deep breath, she looked at Ramus before letting it out slowly. Apparently her mother was wanting to get right to the point. They had just shown up with no real word of their coming. A subtle flick of her tail came as she shuffled on her hooves lightly. "Well, I've just been feeling really odd. Like--somethings not right or out of place. I don't know. It seems to mostly center around my stomach area...."
She glanced at Ramus then back to her daughter. Taking a few steps forward, she circled around the younger mare. Lowering her head, she placed an ear against Dafina's dappled stomach. As if listening for something. "Hmmm...." Firefly closed her eyes for a moment as she continued to listen. Soon she lifted her head once more, eyes opening as a bright smile came to her dark lips. "Well then. It seems like its not just going to be you two anymore. Your with foal, Dafina."

Ramus' eyes grew wide with shock at what Dafina's mother had just told them. speachless he had no words to say at the moment. dead silent, wide eyed and mouth almsot hanging open he swayed a little while he stood there trying to get over the shock. was he really to be a father!? and what would his family say about this all and even dafina's?! oh lord if he where a weak stallion he would have feinted right then and there.

Dafina herself was probably in as much shock as Ramus was. Sure they had been together for quite sometime. And--done things that adult Soquili do, but perhaps she really didn't think much about the consequences. No, this wasn't some punishment for something they did. It was something wonderful. She smiled at Ramus, noticing how still in shock he seemed to be and she giggled lightly. "Well, I guess our little flings have actually produced something then, daddy." It was odd calling him that. But then it would be odd for her to be called mommy as well. Something new, but she was willing to accept the change.
Shaking her head, Firefly chuckled at Ramus. His reaction reminded her of when Sibalto found out that she was pregnant with Dafina and her brothers. But she knew once he got over the initial shock things would be fine. It was always a bit surprising the first time. "Congratulations to you both. I look forward to being a grandmama." A wide grin spread across her face now. At least her children were having their own children now. Though it made the mare wonder if perhaps now it was time to have some more of her own. Turning towards the path she had come, she cast a glance back to them both. "I'll let you two talk about this on your own. I think I've said and done enough for now."

Ramus realizing he was still silent and being spoken to he gave a small grunt. " yeah seems so." it was even odd to him to be called daddy as he was young which is most likey why he had never thought before of the consequences of what could of happened from their little flings. giving Firefly a nod and a smile, he was thankful that she seemed pleased and fine with having grandchildren coming. taking in a deep breath and leting it out he turned his attention to Dafina still smiling. " seems we are to be parents now and im rather lost on what else to say or due."

She watched as her mother left before turning to Ramus. Her heart was beating a million miles an hour it seemed. This was--exciting to her. She had never expected this would of been the reason as to why she was feeling this way, and they were still pretty young, but, she was fine with it. Dafina nuzzled his cheek before placing her head beneath his chin. An ear close to his chest. "Well, no one really knows what to do or expect at first. These things don't come with instructions."

Ramus' own heart was beating fast from the shock of ending up being a father really young and also the thought of telling his parents but most of all what would they do now that they had foals on the way. he calmed though as she nuuzzled his cheek and placed her head under his chin. ofcourse he was happy that Dafina seemed fine with having his foals well their foals and even though he was worried, he actualy was rather proud to have someone like dafina with him and having his kids. " yeah you right..." going silent for a moment he took in a deep breath while taking a spet away from her so he could look her in the eyes. " but i do wanna ask you something. are you really happy with having foals with me? i mean i know we been together for quite a while now which brings me to another question i been debating on asking you but...i want to know if your happy first."

She tilted her head as he stepped away. An eyebrow raising sharply as he posted his question to her. Why was he asking this now? He should already know the answer. If she was carrying his foals. "Of course I'm happy to be having foals with you, Ramus. Exstatic. I wouldn't want to have foals with anybody else." Her eyebrows furrowed lightly as she looked to the ground. Still quite unsure as to why he'd ask such a thing. As if it weren't obvious. "I'll always be happy as long as I'm with you..."

Ramus grinned at know happy to know she was. it was rather obivious but well he had to reasure himself as with all this he had become unsure a nervious of asking his real question. moving over to dafina and givign her a nuzzle, he chuckled softly. " i'm glad cause i can honestly say the same thing even though i'm acting a bit stupid at the moment." going silent yet again as if he hadnt kept going silent enough already. " well you be my mate?" giving a nervious grin, he kinda jsut bluurted it out.

Her eyes opened wide at his next question. She had an inkling that eventually this moment would come, but it was still a surprise to her. Nodding her head, she licked his cheek happily, nuzzling her nose against his. Today was a happy day indeed. "Of course!" Dafina herself had a moment of just blurting things out, but its what screamed in the back of her mind. She truly could not see herself with anyone else. Even more so now.

Ramus grinned and nuzzled back as he was very happy and excited. they where parents to be and new mates at that and to him nothing could ruin this day. " you made me one lucky stallion you know that?" he really was lucky to have someoen like dafina and to also be starting a family with her.

The words Dafina spoke were true. All true. She was certainly happy. Probably the most happiest she had ever been in her life. Before, there was nothing but loneliness. Being kept away from those she loved by her horrible grandfather. But once Ramus had come for her she was happy once more. And her happiness only grew the more time they were together. And now, she wasn't sure if she could be any happier. They would be welcoming little ones into their lives and their love was no ever lasting.
A small giggle escaped her lips as she looked up at him. "Well, you've made me one lucky mare thats for sure. And we'll be even luckier once our children are born. And they'll be lucky because your their father." She glanced down at her stomach out of the corner of her eye. Wondering just how many they would be welcoming into the world. Two? Possibly three, maybe? Only time would tell. And she was giddy just thinking about it.

" shall definatly be interesting to see how our foals turn out and they are lucky to have a mother like you." Nuzzling her he too wondered how many foals there would be. oh he heard from his father many times how him and his brother had been more than a handful and caused trouble. hopefuly his own would not be too much of a handful but he knew they would be anyways. " if your up to it shall we tell my father the good news? thoughh im sure he will groan and grumble about being too young to be a grandfather." snickering, he could see it now.

A devious grin replaced her smile quickly. "Oh yes. Lets go tell your father. I'm sure he'll be just enthralled to hear the good news. Especially after he just met me." Another giggle came as she shook her head. Her necklace clinking back and forth. The beads clicking against one another. "I figure my mother will see my father before I do, so he'll probably find out from her."
