"Ah. Lets start with fishing then. Soul. Mind. Body. That is what self -defense it based around." He nodded softly as he took up the fish, Slurping it in his maw.. Before looking back to her. "Well then. Lead the way to the river miss hunter." He smirked softly.. Youthful and a peek of interest in what this female could teach HIM in return. She seemed like a wise one without even knowing..
"Patience to catch~ will teach you other things. Like a picture- as it is worth a thousand words.. but one moment... has no limit." He looked to her with kindred eyes. He was lucky... and he was glad such a female asked for 'self-defense'. Pretty rare to find one like that-... ah was he fortunate to know one of such brilliance?
"Being in the water will also teach you many things that can not be taught by mere words."

Fae's smile grew larger, long puffy tail wagging behind her excitedly again. She really couldn't wait to start. Taking a deep breath she nodded. Mind. Body. Soul. Alright, I can do this.
The sound of his voice behind her as she lead the way to the river calmed her somehow. The way a parents voice calms a crying baby. It was soothing mixing with encouragement. She lifted her eyes to meet his as he explained, her expressions more serious as she took in the information. He sure is wise for his age.. she found her thoughts wondering slightly as the water lapped at her legs.
It all seemed to make alright sense. Patience after all was probably the reason she wasn't a great hunter. And she understood about water teaching someone. It was one of the reasons she came here an almost daily basis.

"Feel the water..." He softly said.. he let his eyes slitted to watch over her.. letting himself open to the surroundings..
"feel your surroundings.. and the flow of the water.." He did this as well to follow along with her. This took up his body and soul. Like the many times that he did this.
"Be patient.. and you will feel the fish come right to you.." He didn't make a move when fish started to slip past his paws, it'd scare them, then she wouldn't get them... so he waited... To ensure her that she too had the strength to do such things..
Timing was everything in life. Timing- for relationships, proposals, kids, mates.. everything. Even fighting.. thus why he waited for her to get this.. before getting her on the ground to fight!
His tail didn't move.. not an inch.. It was because since he could remember, he was always in control of his body..Always. "When you feel the time is right.. go for one..." He whispered.. her presence was very apparent... not like others- pink was somewhat of unnatural color to be seen in the depts of the sea..hopefully the fish weren't that smart.
