It wasn't long before he lead the filly into a clearing, looking around for a moment before taking a few steps forward. "Dah!" He called out, ears flickering to listen for sound. "Daaah. You said you were going to nap so you should be here."
The first 'Dah' didn't reach his ears but the second did, drawing him from a light nap. He opened his eyes slowly, wings rustling as he stepped out of his 'hiding place'. "Mm... Yes, yes. I'm here, Endymion." He chuckled, turning his head towards his foal. "... And what's this? You've brought a friend home?"

For a moment, as he was calling his dad, Ijn was afraid that no one was there and that she was now even more lost then before. When there was an answer her heart both soared and stopped beating in her chest. She took a step closer to Endymion and watched as his father stepped into view.
She was awestruck for a moment. He had both a unicorn's horn and a wind's wings and she suddenly believed her guide even more that his dad know everything. To have both she imagined he would have to be both very wise and powerful. She stepped out from behind Endymion and bowed her head. "My name is Ijn, sir." She said softly before looking up. "A-and...I'm...lost..." Her eyes started welling up with tears again with the thought of being lost brought fresh into her mind.

"Lost?" He tilted his head slightly as he looked to the small filly. "No one is ever lost for long... Someone always finds them and sets them back on their way." He nodded slowly, pondering for a moment before speaking again. "Ijn is a very pretty name... Can you tell me about your home, Ijn?"
He stood beside his new friend for the moment, leaning over to give her a gentle, reassuring nudge. He just knew his dad would be able to help her find her family again.

She smiled and gave a short nod of her head. It was reassuring to hear that she wasn't going to stay lost from another person. It was nice to hear it from one but when two people said it that practically made it a fact. "My home is a teepee my mom's two-legged friend put up...it's...somewhere in the forest..." As she said it she looked around a bit nervously. She didn't know how big the forest was but she knew it must be somewhere inside, after all, she had never been outside of the trees.
"It's big...and...kind of...creamy colored..." She shuffled her foot about in the dirt a little and looked at Endymion her bright green eyes asking if that was good enough. She really hoped it was. There was nothing else really special about her home.

"Tell me then, little one... Is there anything else near your home? A stream that runs close or a lake? Perhaps a tree that stands out in your mind more than any other? Or a meadow where you play with your mother and father and whatever brothers or sisters you have?" His brow lofted slightly as he tried to figure out a bit more so that they didn't spend hours roaming around aimlessly. He generally tried to avoid the lands closer to where those who walked on two legs lived.

Ijn closed her eyes trying to pull up a mental image of her home. The big teepee stood out in her mind a big cream structure made of some form of hide. What was around it? Her siblings' images made there way into her mind accompanied by her mother and father. Nothing special there. Then a small lioness and a raccoon joined them and Ijn's eyes snapped open.
"Amal's play place is near there." She said suddenly thinking of her father's familiar. She realized that what she said probably made no sense to anyone outside of the family and she flushed. "Sorry...it's...a bunch of toppled over logs by a small little cave...she likes to play there...she says...it's...because...that's where the rabbits...are..." She said her voice slowly lowering in volume as she came to feel that she was rambling.

"Toppled logs... And a small cave..." He closed his eyes, taking a moment to picture the various parts of the forest that he'd explored both by himself and with his mate. "Mm..." A slight smile curved his lips as his eyes opened. "I think I might know where that is."
"See! I knew my dah would be able to help." He smiled brightly, short tail swishing back and forth behind him.

"Really?" Ijn's bright eyes began to sparkle with hope. He knew where her home was? That was wonderful. She turned and faced Endymion returning his smile with one of her own. "Thank you." She said bowing her head finding now to be a perfect time to express her gratitude. Knowing herself the moment she saw home she was likely to forget her manners and she didn't want to seem ungrateful. These two were going out of their way to help her after all.

"Follow me... And keep your eyes open as you go. If you remember the little things about the forest that are always the same you'll be able to find your way around." He nodded slowly, smiling down to the two foals before turning to head in the direction of the spot that he was certain the filly had been talking about.
He gave his friend a light nudge with his nose before trotting after his father, staying far enough behind that Ijn would be able to catch up to him easily and walk alongside him.

She nodded as well to show that she understood. She didn't know how well she was going to be able to remember things though. Her memory was not the best and was the reason she had gotten lost in the first place.
She gave Endymion a little smile as he nudged her. He reminded her a little bit of her brother and it made her feel better. She lost herself in thought for a short moment and when she snapped out of it she noticed that the two that were helping her had started moving.
Ijn let out an almost frightened sound before heading after them not wanting to get left behind. She didn't think they would leave her but then she had expected that her dad would wander off without her either.

Once his friend caught up he smiled, giving her another gentle nudge. "Don't worry. My dah'll lead us to the right place and everything will be just fine... Then maybe we can play again sometime." He smiled brightly.
He couldn't help but smile as he heard his son behind him, glad that his dark coat and odd eyes did nothing to hinder him from making friends or being simply who he was. "We're going to have to cross a small stream up ahead. Stay together."

She returned his smile with one of her own. It was very nice to know that she was safe with them and that they were on the right track to getting her home. "I would like that." She said cheerfully. She loved to play even if she shied away from the more physically changeling games and she was growing quite fond of Endymion.
She turned her gaze to look at the stallion leading them and made a face like she was thinking hard about something. "I remember it..." She said softly referring to the stream that he was warning them about. Her father had been with her to cross it and had said almost the same thing. The memory alone put a little spring in her step as she moved a bit closer to the stallion. She was that much closer to getting home.

He paused once they reached the stream, glancing back at the two foals. "Wait here for a moment." He smiled before turning to wade into the water, testing the depth and the current before looking over his shoulder. "It should be fine if the two of you follow me. It's not too deep to cross here and the water isn't moving too fast either."
"Okay, Dah!" He smiled brightly as he stepped into the water, splashing around a bit before looking to Ijn. "Water's a little cold, but it's good."

Ijn watched a bit nervously as he waded into the stream. She was half-expecting something horrible to happen and she let out a sigh of relief when nothing did. She took a deep breath at Endymion's announcement of the waters temperature before following after them.
It was as cold as she was expecting, just a bit chilled. Still she shivered a bit but worked her way across not wanting to stay in the water any longer then she had to. Not because it was cold, but because she didn't really know what could be in the water. She had never fully investigated.

He splashed around for a bit before trotting across to the other side under his father's watchful eye, smiling up to him once he was on the bank. "It's not like the water of the ocean, Dah. It's more playful, I think... And it makes different sounds."
"Indeed." He chuckled, leaning down to touch his nose to his son's. "Each body of water has its own story." A nod before he turned to look at the filly. "Ready, Miss Ijn?"
