Stares for a long moment at Godfrey, just happy to look at him and not have to worry about schoolwork or anything of the like. "Oh, so you were 'doing homework' too, hm? A likely story." Grins, grabbing hold of one of Godfrey's hands and clenching it tightly for a second.
"The stairs only have a temper on you, yaknow. I dunno what you ever did to make them mess with you like that. They treat me just fine." This was almost entirely untrue, as the stairs had their days where they would lead Josh to the exact opposite floor he was trying to reach, which always ended in him being late since he was so horrible with directions anyway, even having been at Hogwarts for four years. But still, if felt like the stairs messed with Godfrey more often.
Scrunches up his nose, watching Godfrey almost nervously as his sock was messed with. He had on odd thing about socks being on perfectly straight or not at all. "I dunno, like what? Make-out or something?" Clenches Godfrey's hand again, licking his bottom lip teasingly.

Godfrey laughed again. "I suppose I could have been watching some seventh years having an orgy in an empty classroom."
He grinned jokingly, closing his legs slightly so that Josh's foot was trapped, and used his free hand to tug on the other side of Josh's sock, using a finger to lightly tickle his foot afterwards, sensing he was uncomfortable and doing it on purpose.
He shrugged, since the stairs were always crazy, and grinned at Josh's suggestion.
"But we haven't put a sock or a tie on the knob. Someone could come in!"
He seemed rather cheerful at the prospect.

"Orgy in an empty classroom! Now that would be something to get a detention for, hah! How many detentions is that good for, I wonder..." Thinks of the expression that Snape would have if he walked in on that; or any of the other teachers, since Snape seemed to only have one expression.
Tenses up a bit, trying not to laugh at the tickling, pulling his foot back instinctively. "So what if they do. S'not like our relationship is a secret or anything." Locks eyes with Godfrey, quickly pulling his foot free and getting up onto his knees, leaning over Godfrey so his hands were on either side of Godfrey's head, resting on the pillow. He bent his elbows slightly so their noses touched, nuzzling against Godfrey's cheek. "I don't think I could ever keep you a secret." Smiles and presses his lips against Godfrey's lightly, eyes still locked.

Godfrey giggled at the feeling of Josh's nose brushing his cheek, his ears flicking back momentarily, he couldn't help it, it tickled! He then grinned and kissed Josh back, moving his hands to Josh's sides to lightly grip his t-shirt. He pulled back a moment later, and gave a shrug.
"They'd probably get expelled, actually. I've heard some rumours that the Headmaster is cracking down on underage fornication.
He grinned again, not able to help thinking that the Headmaster was just too busy and needed to 'unwind' a bit.
"Oh, I don't mind if someone comes in on accident."
Godfrey bent his knee slightly, his foot brushing along the back of Josh's calf, and tugged lightly at Josh's shirt.
"But would you mind if they watched?" He grinned wryly, ears swiveled forward again, and let go of Josh's shirt, bringing his arms up and stretching suddenly, before letting them fall back onto the pillows.
"Hm?" One hand lifted from the pillow slightly, and he caught some of Josh's moehawk between this thumb and forefinger, wiggling it slightly before letting go.

"That has to suck. Mum, dad, I got expelled... for totally DOING IT in a classroom! Actually, that would be pretty rad to say... ha, like my parents would care." Nibbles at Godfrey's bottom lip absently, relaxing a bit so more of his weight was pressing down on Godfrey instead of having to hold himself up with his arms. He kicked another book off the bed onto the floor.
"They'd probably want to join. Bunch of fags." Grins back, moving a hand up to brush Godfrey's fox ear, stroking the soft fur, their faces still close, Josh's chin half-resting on Godfrey's shoulder. "Your hair looks so... uggggh." Entwines his fingers in the long dark curls, shivering slightly. "Hot."

Godfrey licked his bottom lip briefly, and gave a satisfied sigh at the comfortable and comforting feeling of Josh's weight on top of him. Godfrey lifted his arms and settled them lightly over Josh's shoulders, but so their arms wouldn't get in the way of each other.
His eyes closed slightly at the feeling of Josh touching his ear, and he ran a hand lightly through Josh's hair, peering at him through half-lidded eyes.
He smiled slightly as he felt Josh shiver, closing his eyes for a few seconds as he let his hand brush through the spiky mess Josh called his hair.
"Mmm........ I love yours more." His fingernails lightly scratched at Josh's skull, the other hand playing absently with the collar of Josh's shirt.
He grinned, opening his eyes and tilting his head down to look at Josh. "I can always see you coming from far away."

Josh clutched at the pillow, needing something to hold on to. He continually stared up at Godfrey with his strange yellow eyes, smirking slightly, trying to restrain from shivering again... among other things. "As if you aren't as obvious, fox-boy."
Josh nuzzled his face into Godfrey's neck, closing his eyes, trying to lock Godfrey's scent in his mind, so he wouldn't forget it. He felt strangely sad yet happy all at once. He loved Godfrey, and that scared him. "Godfrey, don't other boys like you? I mean, what made you wait around for me? Or do I just have good timing?" He was talking against the other boy's neck, eyes opened but not looking up. He had released the pillow, and moved his arms to hug around Godfrey's neck, almost clinging.

Godfrey smiled- it was true, after all, and closed his eyes again at Josh's nuzzling, making a little 'Aah!' noise. His fingers curled into Josh's hair, his other hand moving down slightly to Josh's back, fingers curling into his shirt before they relaxed, and he began to lightly rub it instead.
He felt so happy in that moment, that they could just lie there. And it was strange, because Josh was older than him, bigger than him, but he felt in control, protective, as if he was holding something precious and fragile.
Godfrey opened his eyes at Josh's question, staring up at the bed hangings, his brows furrowed. He shrugged his shoulders- not casually but seriously. "I don't know. I don't like the other boys even if they do, I like you. I didn't even really like Justus all that much, I just wanted to know about some things. You're my first boyfriend, really."
He was quiet then, thinking about what Josh said about timing. They had come close- very close - to getting together before they finally did, but Godfrey had always been afraid of ruining their friendship. He was smart and knew they were still young, and that anything could happen. Josh was his first real friend. Before Voldemort, before anyone else he'd met before he went to Hogwarts. He knew he loved Josh, he loved him in lots of ways. (Though if he was asked, he probably couldn't say which ones) Godfrey's biggest fear, the one that usurped even brain eating zombies and walking skeletons, was losing someone he loved in any way, shape, or form.
"Josh?" When Godfrey spoke, his voice was slightly unsure, his voice small, and childish sounding, despite his previous thoughts of control. "Will you promise me that we'll always be friends, no matter what? Best friends?"
It was a childish question, a childish request. Promises meant nothing to almost everyone, it seemed, Godfrey had learned that ages ago. But Godfrey always kept his promises, no matter what. And he had a feeling Josh would too.

Josh took a deep breath, holding it in, listening. He briefly wanted to ask what exactly Godfrey hoped to learn from another boy, but let it go. He didn't need to know the answer, and it wasn't as if he hadn't had relationships before. He couldn't imagine telling Godfrey what he had done with past friends, girls, no-names, and in thinking that he really didn't want to know what Godfrey had done either. They were together now, the past didn't matter. Even his parents, his shitty childhood, seemed to fade and not matter.
Josh hugged Godfrey a little bit closer, his face still buried in the nape of the other boy's neck. Josh was taller by a couple of inches, but it was still comfortable to lay like this, even if his lower stomach was even with Godfrey's crotch. He grinned at the thought, but didn't allow his mind to drift further.
Josh heard the question, tensing up slightly. He tilted his head up, looking seriously at Godfrey. The question bothered him; it was one of those usual prelude-to-a-breakup questions, but the tone was different, so he let that thought go too. "I can't imagine not being close to you, Godfrey. 'Course I promise... no matter what." He frowned a bit, pulling himself up so he could kiss Godfrey again, softly, like a seal to the promise.

Godfrey's neck was rather sensitive, and he made another little noise, but tried to resist squirming as he waited for Josh's answer.
With the answer he let out a small breath of relief, and smiled, the corners of his mouth turning up just slightly as he kissed Josh back.
"I promise too." He said against Josh's lips, and kissed him again, his nose bumping lightly against the other boy's. He couldn't think of any reason why he should be so afraid of such a thing, no thoughts came to mind at the moment. But there was always tomorrow, and the day after that. You never really knew what might happen.
Godfrey wanted to say something else, but it seemed too awkward, too early, perhaps not the right moment. So instead he pressed his mouth against Josh's more insistently, tightening the arm around Josh's shoulder and grabbing a handful of his hair, pulling him down- urging Josh to kiss him harder, more fervently.

Josh closed his eyes, focused on the feel of Godfrey's lips against his, the slight tug of Godfrey's hand in his hair. He was more than happy to kiss harder, forcing his tongue into Godfrey's mouth for a moment while their mouths were locked. He tried putting all his feeling into the kiss, wanting Godfrey to know all he was feeling: how much he loved him, how scared he was for letting his guard down so much, how sincerely he meant his promise. His hands were back to gripping at the pillow, the line of his body pressed tightly down against Godfrey's.
After some time he broke off, having to take a deep breath to steady his breathing. Godfrey tasted strangely of fruit, or maybe candy. Josh stared down at him, still pressed tightly to Godfrey's body, regretting how tight his jeans were all a sudden. Smirking, he rolled off of Godfrey so they were laying side by side instead. "Urhm. Yeah...." Laughs softly, shivering again. Damn teenage hormones.

Godfrey pulled Josh tighter against him, feeling as if he just held on tight enough, Josh could disappear inside him, and he could better protect him from the shittier parts of his life. He thought felt something behind Josh's kiss- something strong, and he hardly noticed any other sorts of tightness, giving a small sigh again as the warmth moved off of him.
Godfrey turned, not wanting to be parted from it, curling against Josh and tucking his head against the other boy's shoulder, one arm draped over his chest. He giggled because it was awkward, but funny, and started thinking things that made him blush. Justus things, but without Justus and with Josh instead. But it wasn't time to think of such things just now, especially since he had something important he wanted to say, right on the tip of his tongue.
"I promise..." He began, and licked his lips. It should be easy to say this, he could say it all the time with no problem. But it felt different this time, heavier, though Josh's kiss had made it somewhat easier.
".... I promise to always........ to always love you, too. I just.... you.... you should have someone to say that, who means it."
He truly hated Josh's parents, but didn't want to think of them and snuggled closer to Josh, tilting his head down and half-afraid to move, hoping he'd interpreted that something behind the kiss correctly. "And I do."

Josh hugged his arms around Godfrey's neck again, frowning slightly. "Godfrey..." He clenched his eyes shut, scrunching up his nose. He opened his eyes after a moment, emotions under control (big boys don't cry). "I know... I know, okay, you don't gotta say it. I love you, too, and I'm never gunna stop. No matter what happens, I'm never gunna stop." He clung tighter than ever, desperately. No one had ever said they loved him before. Definitely no one, but it wasn't like this was the first time Godfrey said it, wasn't like this was something new.
He kissed Godfrey's forehead, relaxing slightly, resting his head down on the pillow. From the beginning he was afraid of starting this relationship with Godfrey. But this one moment made it worth it, no matter what happened after or ever again. "Love you, Godfrey." He shut his eyes, trying not to think too hard.

Josh was holding him tightly, a bit too tightly, but Godfrey just shifted a little bit, getting closer but not lying on top of Josh, since that would probably cause 'problems,'
"Yes I do. It's not enough just 'knowing.' People have to say it." He frowned lightly, and then slowly squirmed upwards, nuzzling his face against Josh's neck like Josh had done to him before. When Josh kissed him and said he loved him back, he smiled.
"I love you, Josh." He said again, and resolved to tell Josh that at least once a day from now on. He gently grabbed one of Josh's wrists then, bringing that hand down to his chest, letting Josh feel his heart beat.
"See?" Godfrey pressed Josh's palm against his chest. "There you are. Right there."
Maybe it was a sappy thing to do- Godfrey sensed that - but he felt Josh wouldn't mind.

Josh let the notion of love linger in his mind for a moment. A while ago he wouldn't have been able to tell for sure what love even was, had no real grasp of it. But now he did, he knew whenever he thought of Godfrey. He would do anything for him, suffer through any pain, he could be with him for any amount of time without growing bored, he wanted nothing more than to just make him happy, hold him close. It wasn't as complicated as he thought it might be. He would die feeling the exact same love for Godfrey as he did right now.
Josh let his palm linger on Godfrey's chest for a few moments. He really could feel Godfrey's heartbeat, beating fast. "Oh, that's where I am, is it?" Josh grinned deviously, moving his hand around to the side of Godfrey's stomach. "What about... here?" He began tickling wildly, not even sure if Godfrey was ticklish there but figuring now was as good a time to learn as ever.
