Mareike kept her main eyes forward so she could watch where she was going, but her center eyes slid left so she could watch behind her and in her peripheral vision she spotted Adriel's tentacles waving at her. She couldn't really respond to them becuase balancing really was harder then it looked even when she spread her wings as far as they'd go. Still the maroon skinned girl smiled a bit pleased that her friend was excited for her, or at least that his tentacles were, she hoped so anyways becuase otherwise they were misbehaving and just flailing about trying to drag him towards her.
Carefully Mareike made her way across the beam and then jumped down and instantly released the teachers hand. She still didn't like being helped. With a sigh she turned to wait with the others and Watch Adriel take his turn.

Adirel watched as the girls wings spread out to their fullest. He felt himself gawk at them in awe. He loved them, he liked Mareike a lot. She was nice and didn't hate his tentacles in fact she liked them. He was happy that they seemed to behave when she was around.
When it came to his turn he didn't want help either but for a diferent reason. Fear rose in his throat as he was helped onto the beam. Would his limbs behave? Or would they make him look like a fool? Taking a swallow he used the teachers hand for help. And was pleasantly surprised to find that his tentacles were being extremely good. In fact....it looked like they were showing off....
Were they showing off to Mareike? He wasn't sure. But once done he hoped down and gave himself a little jump for joy. It was unusual for him to be so happy. He did it! His tentacles behaved and he made it across the beam in one peice!
"Did you see??" He asked excitedly.

Mareike nodded "Yes, you were good, better than me even." There was a tinge of jealousy in the girl's voice but she was still smiling becuase Adriel was nice and she was happy for him.

Adriel was still smiling and he wanted to give the girl a hug but was too terrified to. He instead fidgeted his tentacles however reached forward wanting that hug badly.
"Uh...c...can I..i...gi..give you...a h...h.ug?" he asked feeling very nevous.

The thistle haired girl tilted her head to the side and stared at Adriel with all three eyes. Why was he so scared of asking? " Sure" Really what could possibly happen, unless maybe he was really strong and squeezed her too tight becuase he was bigger.

Giving a sound which seemed a combination of releif and glee the older boy inched towards the girl and gave her a quick hug. He didn't want to press her pseronal boundries...but then again..
His tentacles happily clung onto her, wrapping themselves around her in a happy but firm hug. He was sure if they could purr they would be doing so right this moment.
"Ah...I..i'm sorry...ar..are they hu..hugging you too..too tight?" he asked already fearful he had made another enemy.

A quick check reassured Mareike that she was not infant being crushed to death by the boy although he was certainly stronger than he looked. She shook her head quickly and grinned " I'm fine. Just don't squish my wings" she warned. For all she liked Adriel if he broken any of her feather's she'd have to hit him.
As the two embraced the last of the students made their way across the balance beam.

Adriel was smiling sweetly as he released the girl, the tentacles reluctantly released her as well though they may pokes at her hand for attention. Adriel was cutely blushing as he looked around and noticed that the rest of the kids had already made their way across and now they were moving to a trampoline. He didn't like the trampoline...he never knew how he was going to land...and he always ended up hurting himself.
Hanging back so it was just him and Mareike he gave her another shy smile.
"Um....I don't really like this class...but mama insisted I take it...do you like gymnastics?" he inquired.

" I like doing stuff, I hate being still." Mareike hadn't really decided if she liked the class or not yet. She didn't like being helped but she did like the fact that gymnastics was active.
She reached out to gently squeeze one of the tentacles white using her third eye to watch the other children. They seemed to be having fun bouncing about but they fell a lot unable to balance the spring material. Falling on the back seemed rather common that was not acceptable to her. She would not be laughing if she landed on her wings.
" I'm not doing that." She stated firmly.

The tentacle joyful to the point of glee at being held by Mareike's hand wiggled happily a moment before going still so it could easily be held. Envious of the other the second tentacle batted ad poked at Mareike's hand for attention until Adriel grabbed it and held onto it firmly. he didn't want to risk annoying the pretty girl. The tentacle in his hand wriggled in annoyance before finally giving up. One could picture it grumbling away as it was held captive by the wrong person.
"Y..yeah Im not doing it either." He agreed, a wave of relief flooding through him as he no longer felt like he was being a coward. He took a closer step to Mareike just to appease his appendage in his hand.
"U..m...w..would you..w..want to...come ov..ver and play s..ometime?" He asked feeling embarrassed at his stutter.

Mareike absently tapped a finger against the tentacle she held as she thought about the Adriel's offer. He was nice enough if really shy and she didn;t like the way he couldn't get his words out, Still his tentacles were fun and overall he was pretty neat. There might even be fun games to play with him games that didn't require being gentle or careful or not touching anything.
" Sure" She smiled.
Her center eyes shifted left and watched the teacher instructing a boy on to properly bounce on the trampoline. She seemed rather distracted. " Let's escape" she whispered. The clothes she was in for this were making the girl itchy and she was starting to think there was too much waiting involved in Gymnastics.

The tentacle wiggled happily at the touch, the other fought a bit with Adriel's hand to try and escape but for once the boy had a firm hold on it. Needless to say he was a bit stunned when the girl suggested they try and escape.
Lowering his voice he leaned into the girl so he wouldn't be over heard.
"Es..escape? W..where would we go?" he asked curious and yet fearful at the same time.

" The ice cream place." Where better to go really?. Mareike felt she should get a treat after putting up with this class, not that she had any money. Not waiting for a response she began pulling Adriel towards the girl's dressing room so she could change out of the leotard.

Adriel gave a sound that sounded very much like gak, as he was tugged towards the girls change room. Now even if he was a bit slow on the uptake on things he new at least that he wasn't suppose to be in there.
"Bu but! Mareike! I ..can.t!" He started to say but he was already half way inside and firmly yanked in before he could protest again. His clothes weren't in here and...this was the girls room! He looked around nervously as he knew that he shouldn't be in here.
"Thi..s is the girls room!" he whispered loudly to the girl as if afraid that if he spoke any louder that poor Adriel would be bombarded with woman yelling at him.

" So?" Mareike paused the pursuit of her socks and looked at Adriel. She understood that there were girls and boys and that they were different but not how or why. Penny was a girl and Nickle was a boy but they weren't really any differences than any two other people she'd seen. Gaia was just two filled with different species and Mareike too young and inexperienced in the world to understand the concept of gender separation.
