Well... its comming out for japan sometime around september - late spring... and even then it'll be a good year before it hits america... and a little longer till it hits canada... So, we're looking at say... about more then a year and a half before it comes out for us who are in America and canada... =(
Apparently you can play on your own, or connect up to wifi and play with other people or even play online, although its gona have its on server or serverS.

The video game IS real.
Though as of now it is only released in Japan. It really won't be like the actual MMORPG, in fact it will be alot like someone on the first page said, 'a crappy Mario game.
Still I wouldn't mind knowing if/when it will be released for the U.S 3nodding ♥

Gothic Muffin of Doom I don't know if the game will be good or not, but for me a Mario like game with maple characters would be fun. I like side scrolling games 3nodding I agree. I think it sounds pretty fun. And I do love me some side scrollers. :] From what I've seen of the gameplay, it looks a lot like the MMO. I think I'd really like to play it. I see some advantages with a DS Maple Story. Like, when I get frustrated with the MMO I can take a break and play it on the DS. This way I can still play, but without all of the annoying noobs or KSers. >.>
