Not to be a negative nancy (lulz, I finally get to use
this phrase >:D)
but I rather dislike them all xDD
In comparison, the one we have now is much better.
Though it's cool they're asking us for our opinions on several before
making a decision.

If I had to chose, I'd pick #5.
Though it'd be much better if they combined the pictures from #2 with
the format and setup of 5 :3

...then B's an extreme genius....then B's an extreme freak.

3 FTW, I think that Gaia is more of an anime site and we should try to keep it more based on that than the other 4.

Hmm... I think I like the number 5 best, since it's more about the forums than the avis.

I hate that people are saying the girl in number 4 is ugly!?! God dammit, she's normal, like most of the people in gaia I think. I don't believe gaia is full of beauty queens and models >.> I just can see how she's ugly... eek

No. 3, and by the looks of things that one seems to be most popular so far. The reason I like it is because it has great colour, and it's fantasy, and to be honest I think the attraction of the avis is what really draws people in the first place. The other designs seemed rather ordinary and too much like the usual "teen hangout" thing and lacking in punch. Not really aesthetically appealing.

#2 is by far my favorite. I like the mix of avatars with pics, it's colorful and interesting without being overly cluttered or overwhelming! biggrin The only thing I don't like is the hokey counter graphic. I do like #3 a lot as well, the colors mesh quite nicely.

She looks a bit nonchalent, like there's nothing to be excited about.
[Which will effect users signing up].
This site is aimed for teens, so someone who if someone is on the front who teenagers can't socially aspire to be [I know this is wrong, but it is a truth that media has exploited], the won't want to join.
Also as a female is on the front page it will dissuade boys to join.

Yes, I think they could have chosen a better picture, something happier. But I honestly think there should not be any real people on the front, since there's always someone who doesn't like it. And it's not about the looks, it's about who you are inside... that's what all these internet hangouts are about. You can get friends with personality, not looks.

I didn't like the number 4, I don't think it's a good advertisement for Gaia, I just hated the peoples comments on that girls looks... You can say you don't like it and critique can be good. But going like "God, she's ugly!" is just immature and not very constructive feedback.
