Eyes glanced back slightly toward his brother - a weary fondness settled in him. He was hopeless, if he didn't force him out into the daylight, Niki was sure that Alex would develop vampirism and take to sucking blood when he wasn't looking. Very subtly Nikolai rested his shoulder against his brother's shoulder, a very light pressure to connect them physically.
"Fine, Sasha. If you think magic is so boring what interests you, then?"
He glanced back toward Shinji, hoping that the Professor didn't think this mean that he was losing interest in what they'd been talking about before. He had a spoiled, introverted brother to take care of for the moment, however. "There's other fields of study than magic available here, isn't there?"

Shinji signed softly. "Too long for me to remember." The master fell quiet for a moment, trying to remember the time when he was first introduced to magic. The quiet time allowed the twins to converse with one another, and Shinji listened to the two, getting more information on the twins. The master f magic was slightly amused at the boys, as the two felt almost opposite to one another, even though they looked identical.
Shiji raised an eyebrow when Nikolai's next question came. "It is the magic department, I doubt you can find anything unrelated to magic here." He eyed Alexander. "If you do not desire to learn about magic, the school of Science and Technology is the one you should go. I do realize the classes that the school provides are sharply divided and perhaps too extreme, for there's no middle ground between magic and science..." Shinji paused, realizing that what he said was not completely true. "Unless...you may want to look into the field of magic refining, that's the only place where science and magic work together."

The last of Sasha's maturity crumbled to the floor and he crossed his arms across his puffed chest. His bottom lip puckered and stuck out at a stubborn angle, turning away from his in spite. He listened quietly to Niki's condescending tone as if he were a tantruming three-year-old (which he was but he wasn't going to admit it) and finally shrugged indifferently. He shrugged again when his brother waited for a better reply.
But bleh! Science didn't sound any more fun. Heck, it could be much worse! Alex wrinkled his nose and disappointment, but actually magic refining sounded kinda neat. And that way he could actually help Niki in the future.
"Is... Is the uhmm magic refining in this building or.... uhmm the other building?"

Irritation frazzled through him as Alex refused his way of helping again... or at least snubbed it. He gave a shrug, even as Shinji explained the different areas of study in the school and Alex finally showed signs of some sort of interest towards something.
He wanted to know more about the magic wing and the different sections of magic, but it'd be rude to interupt and bombard the Professor with questions that were so different. That was fine... Nikolai made mental note to make sure his brother understood his ire at a later date when they weren't in front of the teacher.
Though... magic refining did sound interesting.

"Magic Refining, " Shinji cleared his throat, "is perhaps the most unique department of the entire school. If you wish to visit the classrooms there, I can take you guys. But the actual research part is off limits to students." Shinji paused as he was reminded of the insanity that was Javelin when he stumbled into the research labs before. Thank goodness it was off limits, for the sight was not something students could handle.
"The actual classrooms are not too far away from here." The master continued. "I am afraid that you won't be able to try your hands on actually refining magic than to learn the mechanisms behind it and learn to use it. In a way, the term 'magic refining' can be misleading in and out of itself. But if you are still interested to see, then by all means, follow me."

Unique. Sasha's heart leaped at the prospect.
He was so used to and unfortunately quite comfortable with living in his brother's shadow. It was an easy way to move through life, albeit less than contentful. It was a crippling safety net that was starting to cut his legs from under him.
But this teacher was giving him a crutch to lean on if only for a bit and he was very appreciative. He wasn't so bad a guy even if he had the appearance of a baby-eater. His stubborn pout melted into an eager smile and he stepped forward slowly. "Ah, would I mean if... if you have time can we... uhmm look?" He turned to his brother and his childish frown formed again, "Is... that okay?" It was connected with the magic department so even if his brother went another route they would still be together. Alex found Niki's hand and held it in apology.

For a few moments Niki had decided he was going to be really annoyed with Alex, even more so than before. Here he'd been trying to do all he could to try and get him to spark some interest in something and suddenly the Professor mentions one thing and he's attentavly listening - looking eager as well, at that! But that troubled frown, as soon as it was turned toward him, Nikolai couldn't hold the grudge any longer. It would be even harder with his brother's words of apology.
Nikolai sighed, glancing off to the side and trying his best to keep his look of annoyance. Best not to spoil the already spoiled too much. "...It's alright." He squeezed Sasha's hand lightly. "Besides, I'll actually be able to help you when you ask me about your homework if you went into that sort of thing."
A sideways glance and a small smile marked a better mood.

Shinji nodded. "Very well, this way." The master turned, letting the twins settle their own scores and walked back the way in which he came from first. To reach the research part of the building, he must pass his own office first, as well as Javelin's. When the group was at the cheerful female professor's office door Shinji could swore he had heard some loud crashing sounds coming from the room. The master signed and shook his head, deciding it's probably not the best to interfere with Javelin's...whatever she was doing in there. Instead he quietly slipped pass, turning a little to motion the other two boys to be quiet.
The professor's working, do not disturb.
Because if Javelin found out, it would be very troublesome for all three of them.
Shinji quickened his paces after making sure that Javelin had not heard the three in order to get away from her office fast. It didn't take him long to reach their destination. The magic refining department classroom started with the single large room at the end of the hallway, stretching far across the other end of the hallway. There were at least 5 or 6 rooms all together, perhaps even more. The master stopped at the first room and pointed down the hallway.
"Beginning from here are the classrooms for magic refine. There are different classes that are taught in each classroom. Feel free to look around...I believe they are all open."
It happened to be a time when there were no classes going on. Most of the students seem to like to avoid the classes due to the fear of their crazy professor anyways...

The professor seemed serious about being quiet around this hallway and so he took it to heart, holding his breath with worry; though he couldn't help but jump at the sudden clatter within one of the rooms. Was that... another teacher? Were all the teachers scary? Maybe he should go into the science department. Logical people had to be cheerful right? It wasn't until the tension between the group dissolved with distance did he let out a soft sigh.
Sasha almost bumped right into the teacher when he stopped, so overwhelmed with the passing offices and doors to pay attention in front. "We... can go inside?" Cool. Alex looked back at his brother, his face twisted with indecision. "Uhmm... which one do you wanna go in?"

So... there was someone else down along here. Either a teacher or another student.. perhaps even a class going on... then again there wasn't nearly enough noise for a classroom full of people. He followed the other two dutifully and quietly. He was actually impressed with the number of classrooms just for magic refining.
"I dunno." Nikolai shurged, shaking his hand all the way out of his brothers. He spoke in a hushed voice just to be safe. "They're the classrooms your interested in... I'll stand nearby while you look inside but I still wanted to ask the Professor some questions."
He turned to Professor Shinji with only a little hesitation. "What were the different classes of magic being taught here? So I might be able to decide?" He moved to stand just a little closer to the Professor, looking up admiringly at him.

"Ah, but...." He didn't want to go by himself. What if someone was in there? He didn't want to embarrass himself, well at least not on his own. He kept staring at Niki, trying his best puppy dog eyes, but he had been immune to them for years. Shoot. Sasha's plead turned into a glower and he slowly walked over to the door before looking back at the teacher.
"Uhmm, are you sure... I can go in, uhh sir?" Well he wouldn't say he could if he really couldn't. That would be quite counterproductive. He swallowed his question and opened the door, peeking in. It was very.... white. And kind of creepy with no one in it. It reminded him of sterile rooms in sci-fi movies with people all in white.

Shinji nodded to Alexander, confirming that they can indeed go in. There was nobody in the room at this hour, and there wasn't anything valuable within the room for the kids to break in the first place. Indeed, the classrooms were as plain as they could be, which was somewhat surprising considering how the actual magic field classes took place outside in the fancy magic field with all high techological equipments to prevent anything from getting out of hand. One might think more protection would be needed for the students in these classes especially when JAVELIN was the one teaching them.
But then again, maybe it's for that purpose the classrooms were clean and simple and nearly empty, save for the few chairs and tables and all the equipments needed for a teacher to teach her class. Javelin wouldn't have anything to play around with in the classrooms to possibly harm the students.
"Just make sure you don't break anything...not there's anything to break in the first place." Shinji added, not bothering to hide his sarcasm in the sentences. The master then turned to Nikolai, "Elemental, light, and dark." He replied concisely, "but they all have a similar basis, it is only when you decide to excel in one of them will the differences matter."

Niki ignored Sasha's puppy look, though he did make sure to stand within site of his twin if he should look out the door during his exploration of the room. He did also give a glance inward, finding it... strikingly blank, and plain. He gave a small nod to the Professor's answer to his question, bringing a hand up to lightly touch his chin. All three sounded appealing in their own right, but he supposed he would have to pick just one eventually.
"And what kind of specialties are there involved with Magic Refining? Anything that pertains to one of the three Magics or is it something completely different?" He figured he might as well ask for Alex, Niki was the better at sponging in this sort of thing out of the two anyway and it wasn't like Sasha was going to have the guts to ask himself. "How does it affect magic?"

"I'll... be careful..." Alex squeaked softly before the door closed behind him, cutting off his brother's voice and the teacher. All he could hear was the low hum of a few computers and the occasional creaks that accompanied any building. He stood there for the longest time, not sure exactly.... what to do.
Sasha decided whatever he did, it took a first step regardless so he moved forward to one of the computers. They were all in a line and he stopped behind a chair, his hand resting on the back before poking the mouse timidly, curious to see what comes up. The black screen flashed blue with a login screen. Hmm. The little boy turned around and walked over to the walls, trying his best to read the signs which looked like warnings and visual aids of some sort.
"Interesting..." He looked back through the glass window, watching his brother talking so amiably with the teacher. It made him jealous.

"Hm." The master paused as if he was trying to think. "You will have to ask the head of the magic division or..." Shinji hesitated for a moment to speak Javelin's name, since he was uncertain whether he should really allow the boy to be exposed to the insanity that was the professor. But there was no other answers, was there?
"Or you can visit the professor in charge of the magic refining department. It is not my specialty, I'm afraid." The master had a slight idea of what the students can become studying under the said department, but he had never known anyone succeeded in taking it far. Shinji took the chance to look away briefly at the other twin. It seems that he was absorbed in the little attractions that the room had provided.
