"There looks good." Samsara walked towards it but became more reluctant when she peered inside. "You don't think there are spiders inside, do you?" Ever since seeing a spider eating a butterfly she had been afraid of them. What if they thought she was a butterfly with her wings and attacked her?
She put one cautious hoof inside but waited for her friend to go any further. "I'm close with Mom, Dad, and my brother. I don't see my sister all that much." She was being watched over by another soquili who wasn't their mother. Samsara didn't really understand it but Arduor seemed happy there.

"Eww, spiders!" Teppy jumped back from the rocks before flushing under her white coat. How embarrassing, panicking like that. And she hadn't even thought of bugs and stuff. Tentatively she poked her muzzle inside and squinted, making very sure there were no bugs in sight. "Haha, there's no spiders in here. It's perfectly safe."
With a long stride she took one step into the cave before she chickened out. It was dark, but it was warm and dry. "Come in, it's okay!"

Samsara hurriedly followed her new friend into the cave and was immediately grateful for it's dryness. Water still dripped from her mane and wings but at least she wouldn't get soaked any further. Just like Teppy had said, there didn't seem to be any bugs around which Samsara was also grateful for. Spiders were the worst but she didn't enjoy other crawlers either.
"Well... we're inside... now what do we do?" She looked with wide eyes out into the storm. "Do you think our parents will be able to find us here?"

Suddenly Teppy felt really tired. Now that she was in a warm, dry place she wasn't panicking anymore. The filly settled down on the ground, folding her long limbs under her. She blinked her cyan eyes and stifled a yawn.
"I think we should wait out the storm... It's no use getting more lost," she replied slowly. "Though, I do hope they can find us here. I think they can."

Samsara lay down quickly when her companion did, not wanting to be the only one standing. She was still damp but wasn't getting soaked any more and that was good. Having a new friend was also good. Being lost wasn't but it was a lot less scary with a friend around.
"We can find them together tomorrow maybe if they don't find us first. Maybe they'll be here when we next wake up." Maybe it would be like so many mornings before, her dad nudging her awake with a pointed tail or blinking her eyes to see her mother's smile. She could almost see it happening... or maybe she was almost dreaming from being tired. She blinked drowsily. It was strange how sleepy you could get when you just lay down for a moment.

"Yeah, two sets of eyes are better than one..." All the excitement had drained her energy away, and now the young filly was feeling it. "We will find them sonehow... For, now resting sounds good..." She was having trouble keeping her head raised, and her eyes kept shutting. Slowly Teppy lowered her head and as soon as her chin touched the soft earth, she was fast asleep.

((Sure! And sorry about being so failtastic slow on updating... XD; ))
Soon Samsara had drifted off into sleep as well in the cave beside her friend. Outside the storm still raged but as night deepened it dissipated into scattered clouds that were blown away by morning. Samsara woke up to see sunlight pouring into their shelter while the birds chirped merrily away outside. Last night had been frightening but this morning was too beautiful to be scary.
She gave her friend a soft nudge with her nose. "Hey, Teppy! It's day outside! Do you want to go find our parents?" She pushed up to her feet while waiting for a response. First they could find some food and then their family!

Teppy woke with a start and couldn't remember where she was. She looked around wildly until her eyes fell on Samsara. Right... there had been water falling from the sky, and so on. She bounced to her feet, swishing her tail behind her.
"Good morning!" she replied, smiling. The sun made things seem less scary now. "Yes, let's go." Then the filly's stomach rumbled audibly. It had been hours since she last ate anything. "Uhh, and some breakfast too."

The morning sunlight had transformed the frightening scene from the night before into a beautiful forest. Samsara was so heartened by this sight that as soon as she stepped out of the cave she gave a few joyous bounds. "Look! It's not scary out here anymore!"
She landed beside a small bush and tore some leaves off of it hungrily. Happy as she was, she had other needs to fulfill before she could play and explore. She barely even tasted what she was eating in her haste to fill herself. She tried to say something to her friend but it only came out as a garbled mumble. Instead of attempting talking again she concentrated on chewing, mouthful after mouthful of succulent leaves.

Teppy blinked and squinted as she concentrated on what was in front of her. Suddenly bounding from the cave after being in the shadow had not been kind to her eyes. "I'm glad the sun is back... even though it's making it hard to see."
She trotted up to the bush and took a mouthful herself. She could barely get the leaves down fast enough. Samsara mumbled something, which Teppy answered with a questioning, muffled "Whuh?"
