"But would you?" she asked more gently. She could feel more warm tears about to come, but she wouldn't let them fall. She couldn't. He didn't mean that much to her...but he stayed with her in the rain. She started to question his liabilty herself..

Sighing, he turned fully around and moved towards her. "No. I came to help. Here, lean on me."

She smiled weakly, as she looked to him. She was stubborn, she could get home by herself. Then the pain came back...no she couldn't. She'd needed his help. "You know we should switch up the order sometime...me helping you out." she grunted.

He grunted at that, deciding to not acknowledge it. "There's a fallen tree nearby, it provides good cover and there's a bed of dry needles underneath. We'll go there."

She lifted her wing as high as it would go, which was high enough for it to keep off the ground. "Don't you be grunting at me." she replied with slight sarcasm. Her ears flickered to him as her tail swayed back and fourth behind her. It was the only part of her that wasn't aching. "Pandora can be really nice...she has two sides to her..." she tried to explain.

"I couldn't hurt her no matter what she did to me...just like that wretch who is the father of my daughters." she replied. She was still bitter about someone she trusted so much, leaving her in the dust as if nothing had happened. Scew him... she thought to herself. She couldn't help that in her heart, his voice still lurked but she was pushing him out as hard and fast as she could. That brightned her day most of the time. She had nothing else to say, he wasn't interested. It didn't seem like it anyways. Never seemed like he was for the most part.

He blinked for a moment, looking down at her. "You have daughters?" He was surprised at that. She was young, and seemed child-like herself to him. Raising his eyebrows, he turned his gaze back to the path.

"Two..." she replied with sorrow. "One with three childeren now, the other was muted as a child...she speaks now. Softly." she sighed. "Their father left me. Seems I was hated by them for it. I don't know what I did wrong. Raina and I are fine. Anemone, I do not know. She is more of her father's daughter." her ears flared back. "I wish not to see him again." she nodded. "That is for sure." she looked to him. "I was a good mother to them, when we were together...it faded though." she made a point to leave out the part where she had an insanity flight but hey. You would too if you lost everything that you held dear.

He glanced back down at her again, then lifted his head to lift a branch over hers as they passed under it. Reaching the upturned tree, he nosed her underneath, careful of her wounds. He wasn't exactly sure how to heal them, but he knew that rest would help.
"I'm sure you were," he murmured, and amazingly, there wasn't sarcasm in his voice.

She smiled gratefully, she had noticed the sarcasm drifted from his voice. She appreciated it, made her feel better about what had happened. She saw the little bed and the tree. It looked comfertable, but her muscles were stiff. She looked to her wounds, "Is there a water pool near by?" she asked. "The wounds will need to be cleaned out, if there isn't one. I can wait till tomorrow. Won't sting as much too." she frowned. She had been through this routine before but not by Pandora and her wing was never damaged. She tried to shift her weight a bit so she wasn't leanng on him completely. The only leg that was somewhat damaged was her right back leg which just had a pulled muscle. That would heal in no time at all, maybe a couple nights rest. That went for the bruises and few scrapes. Her shoulder wound and wing however, she didn't know.

He eyed her wounds, nodding. "There is. You're up to walking to it? It isn't far." Lowering his head, he nosed at her gently.

She smiled nosing his cheek, "Yeah, I'll manage. I won't tomorrow if they get infected." she would dread that...especially her wing. If she lost her wing to this, Pandora might not live to tell the tale to her new hot shot.

Nodding, he turned and headed towards the small spring. He wasn't really sure what he should say to her, hell he wasn't even sure why he was there, so instead he said nothing.

"You know Auster, even though you seem like a hard a**...your a complete softy." she smirked as she nudged him. She followed him trying to walk on her own for a bit and as it failed she went back to leaning on him.
