Nyame said nothing but it was enough to draw out suppressed fury. And this was not supposed to be a threat? She prepared to call forth her own boss summon that she had acquired years ago without the knowledge of her clan had Anzu not started on the seals to summon Genbu, equally coldly. He in particular had faced three different boss summons in his life, endured many more Kages' fury, and was quite ready to evict the intruders now. Had not someone else beaten them both to it first...

Intimidation towards the Hyuuga clansmen gathered were equally pointless, whom were specifically raised to be guards and thus trained to harness control over their senses first (lowest level present hunter-nin). As guardsmen, they are supposed to be without predilections...without any emotions or feelings. And only kami-sama will know of any clan who had done better than the Hyuuga sentries in this area by divine parallelism.

The same young puppet master who had spoken to Anzu earlier, the best yet most frightening of her group, merely laughed. She may not be able to utilize this clan's Taijutsu style being without sight but still...the maliciousness of a Yubei was present in its full glory. Like Irihi, Gekkani was a halfblood, her okaa-san of Iwa's Yubei clan, hence also the reason for her strange, unseeing eyes. She had faced demons much more terrifying, her mother's clan were cursed by the underworld god Emma, than to tremble at a wolf. "Cute." She grinned wickedly, before paralyzing killing intent poured from her in waves, washing over the whole compound, overpowering Zenijin's influence, over the whole area and even affecting the Hyuuga who it was not directed that had endured Zenijin's threat passively without even shuddering.

A cruel sneer twisted her lips, of what should've been a cute pout. It was then very clear that the puppets with her...was perhaps not merely dolls made of metal or heavy wood but rather...human puppets... She had taken jurisdiction over the bodies of dying clansmen and from multiple clans all over the village...eternally perserving the living corpses. Gekkani was only allowed to because this generation was so dangerously short on shinobi that the Council would agree to such methods of perserving the skills of the dying previous generation. "How shall I preserve such lovely additions for my darling collection...oh, I know..."

Gekkani was only one of the four gathered sentry masters from this clan, all of Nyame's house, each in charge of one of the four great gates of Konoha. But her whole demeanor, her speech...there was nothing noticeable of the Hyuuga house except in her deceptively demure physical appearance, such astonishing beauty for someone so young but rather, like a poisonous flower with thorns.

Hyuuga-Yuubei Gekkani
Lv. 80
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1600
Intimidate: 1d20 + 1200

"Gekkani, that is enough!" An older councilwoman, Sora, a hag in her late seventies was at the courtyard's gate, glared warningly at Nyame and Anzu before in turn at the child who was ready to initiate Sunagakure's most famous puppeteer technique... Goodness, they should've never allowed that child to be taken to Suna for training. "Nyame-hime, pray, just what in the world are you doing here at this time of the day? Anzu-sama, you're not even Hyuuga so why are you in our compound?"

She in turn cast her gaze upon Moku but said nothing, taking it that her orders were understood very clearly by dismissing the others. "You have a smithing lesson to give, Nyame-hime. The youngsters from the other houses have been waiting for two whole hours already. So. Take your tardy brats." She made a gesture that 'it's ok' to the highly suspicious youngsters before the good-natured old woman watched as the youngsters grumbled, lowered their weapons finally before exiting the compound single file. Besides the head of their house and the head of family, Sora was another of their most favourite...the only living relative of the last Hyuuga Hokage. Anzu departed last, noticeably with Nyame. The latter trusted in Sora's decision, as the oldest and most respected Hyuuga councilwoman, hailed for the wisdom of her years even beyond that of their young head of family.

When the commotion finally settled down and the courtyard returned to being serenely empty, the old woman in turn simply smiled at Nakamura. "How many years had it been...five, six...?" And it was true, it had been so long since she had first and last watched this child...who grew up in Konoha village. Sora regretted not staying nor returning to the compound earlier, leaving the young clansmen who knew nothing...alone to decide. Such power in the hands of boisterous youngsters were a dangerous concept, still alien...this village only agreed to raise such individuals in the first place, had stripped them of their childhoods, for the goal of killing the Fire Master. As tragic as it was...but not just the famous four master sentries from the Hyuuga clan but similar cases for the Senju and the descendants of the former Konoha Twelve (clansmen).

Kaida was ready to try, ready to try and fight along the others when she heard Nakamura and felt the chakra of those around her. BUt then that woman...the Hooga...she seemed so strong...how would it be at all possible for her to fight such an enemy. SHe would die for sure, she would die and Onii sama would be lost to his rage, and there would be noone to protect Naka-chan-sensei. She shook with fear unable to move and tears began to stream down her cheeks. There was no hope for her none at all, she was a disgrace to the name kunoichi.

Wahotts was terrified. He could sense the ear in Kaida and the fear in himself. What could they such youg creaturs do in the face of such danger. He held his ground In front of Kaida but in his mind all he wanted to do was grab her and flee as fast as he could and hide behind his mother. THings only got worse when his own father arrived and Wahott's fear was now rivaled by his shame. His father would realize what a coward his son was soon enough.

Kusari's retraint finally snapped the instant the Ice wall came up around them. That was it, it was, as far as his body was concerned, the go ahead from Nakamura that it was time to fight and time to do so with his full Ferocity. Kusari loosed a blood curdling roar from the depths of his lungs and with weapons in hand charged running straight up the wall of ice. He was ready to attack and destroy anything he could see.
THe one known as the demon of the mist reached the top of the wall of Ice and froze there for an instant. THings were going on around him so quickly it was difficult for him to determine what he should attack first, and who he should destroy. His pulse was thundering in his ears and his rage was bubbleing just below the surface waiting for any excuse to be let loose and turning Kusari from a ferocious warrior to a demon that would not stop for anything. THe targets were fleeing, or something of the sort as the fearless warrior looked about his eyes scanning wildly for one single enemy fool enough to stand against him he found it. THe target was looking upon the wall of ice and speaking but he could not hear the words over his own pulse "GGGRRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he roared tremendously and leapt from the ice wall landing on the other side and charging straight for the only opponent left. Rather than attack with a weapon he opted for a surprise by suddenly opening his mouth and a concentrated blast of water fired forth with incredible speed and force.

Kaida Sense Motive:1+ 4(Wis)= 5+ 19= PHAIL um...not sure now many minus to rolls that is...but i bet it's a lot :p

Kusari Sense Motive: 43 + 17(Wis)=60 +20 = instant resist

Suiton: Kaihodan (Water Release: Pressure Cannon)
A strong jet stream of water is blasted out of the user's mouth.
Cp cost: 80 cp
Damage: 55 - 120 + chakra mod.

Training days: 7 days

1000cp-80=920

DC: 20(a rank)+ 25 (1/2 lv)+ 12 (chk mod) + 18 (2 per 10 ninjutsu)= 75

Moku listened to Anzu as he figured out the situation a little more. so were on the verge of war now…interesting Moku thought and then sighed as Anzu had basically pulled him into it as well. Moku simply walked up beside Anzu so as to confirm what Anzu was saying about him being a representative of his clan. Of which clan that should be clear due to Moku’s dead black eyes and black hair, the main characteristics of the Hatsuchi clan. Moku didn’t feel the need to say anything at the moment. Mokus bow that he always carryed was down by his side as the other ninjas got ready to fight. Not so much as 10 seconds passed before one of the villige’s older Councilwomen showed up and basicly told everyone to get out. She had dismissed everybody so nothing was keeping Moku there any longer so Moku decided to follow Anzu and try once more to find out the truth of the rumors he was hearing. this is stating to get annoying. So he left leavening the mist ninja to the Councilwomen.

Conan had next to no idea about what was going on. From what he gathered some ninja made Nyame mad. maybe now that she has to deal with these people she will forget about being mad at Anzu-sensei for his actions before Conan hoped that would happen that way Anzu wouldn’t get hurt… of course if a fight brakes out Conan guessed that Anzu would get hurt at least a little. Still before a fight could get under way one of the clans elders showed off and chased everyone off. Along with Anzu. So naturally Conan ran off after his uncle and Sensei.

Arya's heart moved before her logic so rather than taking the gamble to see if Kusari's attack would hit the old woman or not, Arya shifted her feet, a great wall of solid ice appearing between Kusari and the remaining Hyuuga. Undoubtedly, her technique was strong, so powerful enough to simply overwhelm his Suiton technique. Whatever of the water that touched the ice froze, further enforcing the solid wall of ice. Her own gaze settled on Kusari: strongly mixed with sadness and disappointment. "Is that the way to act?" She asked quietly, bell-like voice distant. "You're onee-sama's guard. This one actually knows her too..." Silvery-ruby eyes landed calmly on Sora. "That girl...her puppets were not simple dolls. Puppets shouldn't have chakra, correct? I thought I had sensed more chakra presences that the actual number present."

Hyoro no Jutsu (Ice Prison Technique)
The user creates a series of ice crystals which home in on the opponent and trap him in ice. Unlike Suirō no Jutsu (Water Prison Technique), no further action seems to be required to maintain the prison once the victim is caught. This jutsu may also be used defensively, as a wall of ice.
Rank: A
Cp cost: 80
Damage: N/A
Requirements: Must be from Land of Snow OR any ice clan, Chakra Control 70+
Training days: 10 days.
Special: Melts in 10 turns in which user must pay 20 Cp to maintain the jutsu.
*The opponent can try to break the jutsu in various ways.
Break out with strength: [d20 + melee attack bonus] vs [d20 + chakra control]
Break out with a fire jutsu: The user's Chakra Control check has to beat double the opponent jutsu's Reflex DC. For example, if the Reflex DC for dodging the opponent's fire jutsu is 45, the user's Chakra Control has to be 90 or more.

DC: 20 + 22 + 43 + 180 = 265
Shield 'Hp': 4500

But Arya had no need to defend for her. Even in her own age, Sora was more than quite capable of defending herself. After all, she was the one who personally tutored Gekkani and the other three sentry captains. "Quite perceptive, child." A soft pause, followed by a light sigh. "Indeed, they weren't simply puppets..." Sora's voice trailed off, saying nothing more. For Gekkani's prized puppet was no other than the preserved living remnants of the former Hokage Lord Rasen himself. But Nakamura would be highly indignant if she had known, that her sensei's remains were not properly buried but rather preserved, a shadow of his living image.

[I get the reasons behind you being able to stop the intimidation for yourself, but Sorry, I'm going to call you on having your own Sense Motive drip into everyone else. I don't care if they ARE emotionless, that was already discussed and denied from the Momochi clan. It's not like the Release technique. You can't just pass it on.

Cause of intimidation is gone, rolls return to normal]

Nakamura's anger seemed subside at the impudence from those around her. She could literally feel their cockyness trying to fill the others with such foolish pride. What little ability they had must have gone to their heads. It wasn't like she was trying to make herself come off as almighty, but it just came to the point where it was beyond her to control herself. She was hoping that an attack would come, simply to show that pathetic attacks would be useless against an Arctic Ice Wolf. They weren't of a corporeal form, and only those stupid enough to attack them would find that out. Puppets? Completely useless. Their weapons couldn't hold a candle to those that had no physical body to attack when they chose not to. Nakamura's mind was suddenly stripped of it's body, for Ayala had ripped her way through the uncontrolled emotions and confusion that was Nakamura's mind to break through and speak to those around her.

Ayala in Nakamura's body looked around, Nakamura's once Teal eyes had been replaced by Ayala's Deep Green orbs. She heard a feint sobbing as well as the scent of fear. It was easy to draw the connection to Kaida and her pup. "Calm now... don't worry. It's going to be alright. You were promised to be protected, don't tell me you don't trust her to keep her promise to you." she cooed to Kaida. "Wahotts, my little Wahotts, even in the face of danger, you show fear and bravery. That's what matters, that you protect your charge. Even in the face of danger, you still went to protect her. I'm proud of you." she told her pup, even though it was from Nakamura's body.

Before Ayala could continue to try and calm the situation, Nakamura's emotional distress forced Ayala into a repression. Her eyes changed back to their teal color, and with the exception of her chakra going back to normal, she didn't recognize where she was. What... just happened? she asked herself, looking around in a confused manner. Looking around, she recognized the place as the Leaf Village's Hyuuga compound. How strange that her short term memory seemed to have fled her from Ayala's forced entry. "Zenjin? What are you doing here? You should be with Amadeus! Go! You have to protect him!" Nakamura exclaimed, watching Zenjin let out a soft sigh. He knew what happened, and instead of trying to explain the situation, dissappeared within a misty aura.

Teal eyes scanned the area, only to have them settle upon an elderly woman. Something about her seemed... familiar. She asked how long it had been. Was she referring to her childhood or her time in training under the previous Kage? She merely nodded, wondering what she could have expressed. The angered cry from Kusari snapped her head towards him, her attention now gathered completely to him.

Almost as if it had happened in a startling revelation, the elderly woman's face appeared in a very vivid memory. "STOP KUSARI!!! DON'T ATTACK HER!" she exclaimed. Even though her call was too late, she moved from her position to hopefully stop the attack. Again, her movements were faltered and her actions hindered from Arya beating her to it. Even though Arya managed to stop the attack, Nakamura's pace slowed down to that of a questioned, slow walk.

"I know you..." she spoke softly, her breathe was gone; showing her chakra was under her control again.

Kusari saw the sudden wall of ice rise up and it was one thing he was not expecting. TO be stopped and confronted by his own ally. TRAITOR was what his first thought was but then he heard Nakamura’s voice telling him to stop as well. Kusari had been too far in motion when he had been abruptly and unexpectedly stopped by the wall. Kusari’s massive fram collided with the wall hard and a loud popping sound was heard as well as cracking…fortunately this was not from his body but from the ice. Small chunks fell down around Kusari.

Kaida would have thanked Ayala, still afraid but her fear was over come with a flash of anger with AYra who had caused her Onii-sama to collide with the wall of ice… she had hurt Onii-sama… on purpose. “A-a-ayra-chan…. HOW COULD YOU! Kaida exclaimed in a voice that expressed both anger and hurt She coulds see Kusari getting up, steam rising from his body. Kaida watched as he moved a few steps away from where he had crashed and towards Nakamura. Kaida was then too busy with Ayra to pay attention to his actions further. “Ayra-chan SHUT UP!” Kaida stated when Ayra started talking to Kusari as if she knew better. “Don’t talk like you know better than Onii-sama, You don’t! You never can, because you are like Naka-chan-sensei, Not like him…like us…” At this point she was speaking of blood lines and how it affected them, Kaida knew the anger, she knew that Kusari had learned long ago, that his best way to defend anyone was to attack for them. When she spoke of understanding, she had mean the anger, the lust for battle, two things that she herself had begun to taste lately.

Wahotts recognized his own mother right away and nodded to her words even though he didn’t feel he had done anything to be proud of. He was still worried what his daddy would think. He had not seen him in some time, as he had been with Nakamura for so long… and he had been away when wahotts had arrived at the fvillage…it was the real reason he had been most excited to come, and now when he finally got to see his father again, he was busy being a coward.
Wahotts heard Kaida and knew she was mostly saying things she didn’t mean because she didn’t know better and she was angry because she saw Kusari get hurt by someone she knew rather than an enemy. He nudged her once with his nose and she quieted down instead of yelling and growling at Ayala she stopped and got atop Wahotts back agin before riding Near Kusari

Hush Kaida, a mission is no time for infighting.” was all he said to his young sister as he rose to his feat, steam coming off his heated body next to the ice wall he had collided with. He did not say anything to Ayra or speak anything of what had transpired but instead moved over closer to Nakamura so as to stand by her side. “Nakamura…is this someone…from your past?” he asked curiously and carefully. He knew the gravity of a situation if this was in fact the case. He waited to hear the other eolder woman, not apolagising for his attack, but not attempting to make another.

((No, not because they have no emotions. The sentry guards raised from Nyame's house caps intelligence, Sense Motive, and another offensive field since sentries have to be able to resist seduction, fake disguises, and of such to guard against conventional attempts to enter the village. That's why the rookie among them, former hunter-nins, were unaffected. But Gekkani's in particular is too much to endure, save for against another sentry captain, thus why they reacted uncomfortably. So indeed, they do have conventional feelings. xDD))

Arya was from the wall at a distance, but her control of her Hyouton creation limit was quite impressive. Her target after all was to diverge that Suiton technique. Kusari would not be significantly injured from his collision apart from a light bit of stunning that would disappear quickly for someone of his build, the wall having already started cracking from the bottom up, branching out like that of Konoha forest's trees before shattering wholly in a shower of snowflakes and shimmering powdered ice.

Arya may not have known of the Momochi clan's burden but while she believed emotions of protection brought out the strongest abilities of the shinobi in question, blind emotions would only serve to hurt. Zenijin and Ayala may not be corporeal, but Kusari was well solid. There was no way she'll allow her onee-sama's companion to get so close to that...particular Hyuuga and risk the possibility of getting hit, considering puppet masters were infamous for their poisoned blades. The simple fact that a fuuinjutsu master was next to that child was disconcerting as well. Besides medical ninjutsu and their many famous clans, who knew what strange novel seals Konoha developed...the alarm seal over the Hyuuga compound testified well at least to technological developments.

Kaida's indignation was understandable, but the young Momochi could not have known that the number of bloodlimits that harmed its possessor does extend beyond, and sadly in great numbers. The child judges from the Hyouton limit she have already seen, Nakamura's, and concluded Arya's must've been of the same kind. But that was far from the truth. "My Hyouton creation limit...is not a gift from the heavens." A soft pause, the shadows of her long bangs hiding her expression. "It is...nothing like onee-sama's." Only Nakamura knew best what Arya's particular branch of Hyouton creation could do to her own body...always having to fight against her bloodlimit simply to stay alive.

The constant wind affinity manipulation to spread the unnatural chakra, irrevocably mixed wind and water affinities, to throughout the whole body so that her kekkai genkai might not kill her. More than once her blood inheritance had threatened to take her life. "My kekkai genkai would've killed me long ago, had onee-sama not saved my life and gave me reason to live...to fight for existence. Since birth and for the rest of a natural lifespan, those of my Hyouton creation must battle our limit in order to stay alive." Calm ruby eyes were fixated on Kaida now. "Kaida-chan shouldn't ever give in, neither you nor your onii-sama...because, there's a reason to fight on." A soft smile at her onee-sama. And she's the one.

Kusari cracked the ice wall, something she wasn't expecting to happen with his skill. He could have easily broken through... or if nothing else clung to the wall. Why would he allow himself to hit it like that? she asked herself, watching the outbursts unfold. Is this how I portrayed myself? With such savagry? Did she really allow herself to become so animalistic that she lost herself entirely to another person that lived within her? Nakamura's eyes followed Kaida and Wahotts as they moved to Kusari's side. It seemed to her that Kusari had things under control with his younger sister, but her words cut her like a dagger as they must have done to Arya. We aren't alike. Our abilities may be somewhat similar in our Hyouton creation, but, our clans are completely different. Mine was hunted down untill only I remained. Fearfull of everyone around every corner for years on end? She didn't go through that. Her own abilities almost killing her, while mine had saved my life even without me knowing it... her eyes were staring at the five warriors. A completely blank expression upon her skin as the ice seemed to melt from her skin. Even that, wasn't enough to hide the illusion of a tear trying to flee from her face. Racing the droplets of water that formed from the melting ice that she no longer wanted to maintain.

"She's... familiar. I... don't really know..." she wanted to try and give a reason or a place as to where she thought she knew her, but seeing as how she was a Hyuuga, it could have only been from here. Her mind was beginning to focus on what was being said by Arya. A gift? You could call anything a gift, but with every gift, there are always side-effects.

"If only it was a gift. I'll never feel the warmth of anyone's touch. Forever cold, to live without body heat and turning it away without even the slighest amount of consent. To be hunted down because of these abilities and because of false accusations. Such a wonderfull gift.... but even knowing this, I wouldn't wish to exchange it for another." she whispered more to herself than to anyone else. Her body forbid her from ever feeling warmth. From ever feeling heat. Her body acting as if it was a living freezer. "But we shouldn't fight one another. We have to stick together. All we have is one another." she added, brushing her hand across her face in order to sweep away all the liquid that managed to collect there.

With her new found attention on Sora, she walked closer towards her. Something about her reminded her of someone she knew, a possible resemblence or other locked memories.

((What do you call a male relative to his great-aunt? O.o Bah. I'll just use grand nephew.))

The old woman chuckled lightly with good humor. "Oh, this retired old hag is still somewhat memorable? All grown up now, Nakamura I see...the sole blossoming flower of the eternal tundra...from since that grand-nephew of mine first took you in." Upon the confused expression on Arya's face, Sora decided she had deviated from introductions for long enough. "I am Sora, the...last remaining member of the former Council of Elders."

And then apologetically at Nakamura, the old woman continued: "I'm sorry, Nakamura... You probably would've liked to see him again but...Ransen is no longer with us. And...when Konoha's proud families refused to unite against the Fire Master...those fallen of the old Hyuuga council...their young hatchlings now struggles to uphold their parents' legacies..." Sora looked even older with those words, as if the grieving for her grand-nephew still remained fresh in her mind as it had over two years ago. A remarkably aged shinobi who have lived, experienced, and endured much loss as she outlived friends, family...loved ones. "His wife, Lady Yokou...our current head of family has been missing for almost two years now and their daughter, our chiisai-hime...vanished without a trace three months ago..." Elruda had been seven when Nakamura first met the vibrant child.

Sora shook her head lightly, trying to rid the depressing weight on her aged soul. When she spoke again, the weary look seems less weary and a smile of soft warmth blossomed. "But never mind that. If you are not in a hurry, do come in...your companions too... Might anyone be hungry or thirsty?" To Arya's raised eyebrow, Sora answered: "Worry not. The compound is empty, as the others are off at work."

The whole clan at work? Thought Arya. Wasn't that a bit too much...? Nyame had only hinted to the role Hyuuga now plays in rebuilding Konoha...also the reason for the Senju indignation at any perceived threats... But Arya would not know that. "Sora-obaa-sama?" She asked, rather cautiously. "Just...what's going on in Konoha...?"

The old woman heaved a soft sigh. "Foolishness, anger, and heavy suspicion... What Hashirama Senju had wished for so long ago...is so quickly falling apart. The twelve tribes of Konoha no longer trusts even each other and with Ransen's successor, Lady Cerbi also dead, there is no named Hokage. This village is falling apart from neglect...all twelve families of Konoha refused to open their compounds for the last year and half as long as the Fire Master remained." Survival was not a problem considering the spacious estates were once independent agricultural villages anyways. More softly now. "Even still, stubbornly...rather than work together with the other clans...the reigning youngsters of each family raised their own choice of weapons. What you saw, how that child Gekkani is now...is the product of fear, despair, and anger of living under the Fire Master..."

It was Arya's turn to look indignant, silver-crimson eyes flashing. She was...unhappy for all practical matters to see how a child, even younger than she...would become that... "Nyame-hime would allow her own house to be turned into weapons! I thought she was better..." Arya shook her head lightly...the furthest expression of fury. Her second friend in this clan, after the princess... She thought Nyame was better than that to do such a thing! Especially after Arya had confessed her whole story...being raised as a weapon...though she did not regret it for the only desire that mattered to her was protecting her onee-sama...

Wait. Then these children agreed? For the sake of their village...? Yet not wholly understanding the weight of their idealistic choice...

"It is...too tragic. Benevolent intent becomes twisted and forgotten in times of war and calamity." Sora replied ruefully. "I would not claim this village innocent. Fear only spawned more darkness..." Arya did interrupt this time. "Did...did anyone in this whole village realize...the greater threat was no longer the Fire Master?" She shook her head impatiently. "What if she betrays the village? No, not just that child. All of these...human weapons raised during the last year and half. So, will Konoha...whom made monsters, then take away even their right to existence?"

The usually calm Hyouton princess glared at the old woman. "Because of ignorance, tragedies like this happen." Her tone became disappointed. "Hyuuga was once infamous for their coldness but eventually...your clan's famous wisdom became what is hailed. There had to be a reason, not mere coincidence." A soft pause. "What I went through...is no longer even the more important matter. Your own people...and just how do Konoha plan to ever re-assimilate these children as they're now, twisted so because of the higher-ups' inability to defend their own village...?"

"Live each day fully before dreaming of tomorrow... To have thought...this was indeed what we once told our children and not a mere illusion. It's not that they no longer have their own dreams, goals now but..." Sora shook her head again sadly. "This village...and such blind obedience... If they ever betray Konoha, they certainly have every right to revenge. Abandoned to study abroad, a tradition since before Ransen's time... It was supposed to encourage the children to study other fields...but instead..."

"Time cannot be rewinded." Arya said simply. "I will never be twelve again but neither will that child - Gekkani, was that her name? But nevertheless, one day Hyuuga clan will have to answer for what happened to these children..." "The Senjus of this village...are famous for their honesty. Straightforward, not shielding even the tiniest bit of their feelings. A stony heart is not equivalent to not having one at all... For them, the meaning to living right now...is tightly locked away. It is indeed sudden, encouraging them to interact again...yet..."

"Simply being around other villagers...it makes me happy, seeing the cold expressions on these children's faces become even slightly warmer..." A pause, before she turned to Arya. "What is your name, child?"

"Arya. The elf huntress of the *Fubuki (Arya is the elf princess in Eragon)."

"Arya-chan, then..." Her next words, the sincerity...was enough to take the child's breath away.

"I never dreamed, much less consented...to the young generation straying so far. Believe me...watching them like this is more painful than surviving all the battles through my life amounted together." Losing loved ones meant one thing...but watching the still living loved ones become someone else... A soft pause. "My voice...barely reaches them anymore...if only..." The old woman's voice trailed off. "Nyame's house dearly loved her...and they...seemed so obedient to Sora-obaa-sama too. Is there perhaps someone even dearer?"

"My grand-nephew's good wife, this clan's former princess." A rueful smile at Nakamura. "Do you remember her? Only twelve years old during the first meeting..." And Nakamura probably would, her sensei's wife was extremely fond of Nakamura, constantly fussing over the child's health, the main cause of dispute between the couple (of course with Rasen claiming he was taking care of her quite well and was not going overboard with training). Yokou simply doted on Nakamura as much so as she had her own children. But like a mother to everyone, not just the children of her clan.

Hokage husband, head medic wife... The two were an excellent match.

Kaida looked at Nakamur and saw the tear... she had not really listened to Ayra as she was still mad at her. But already she was regretting what she had said. SHe leaped off wahotts and ran to Nakamura after she heard her words tears streaming down her cheeks. "Naka -chan-sensei I'm sorry...." she cried... "I didn't mean it, i didn't know..." she stopped in front of her not hugging her teacher because she was afraid she might have hurt her feelings more than would be forgiven. SHe could feel wahotts staying close by not wishing to be to far from her in thei unfamiliar place...Kaida had not been listening to the others speak as she was to busy trying to whipe the tears away from her eyes to no avail as they kept coming. "I would trade my bloodline, right away, i would get rid of it if i could. It is the reason mama is dead, and Onii sama and i are the only ones left. It is the reasons i was a prisoner so long, and all it does is make me hurt people."

Kusari had been listening. He had heard Nakamura first and though had not known, necessarily, the full extent of the affects on her, he had presumed what little of that he had not been told. He heard Kaida's words and did not speak on them either... They ate at him though... did she truly hate their own lineage so much? He was too busy to respond instead ignoring them for now and focusing on theother conversation... Hitokugutsu...it had been one of the branches of the ninja art he had begun to learn the kugutsu technique for... so he could learn to use the remains of his victims to fight his foes, but he had given that quest up long ago in favor of his own body as a weapon instead of others. His fighting style was not one that left much in the way of in tact remains.

Kusari listened to thier words and he held ill feelings of similarities btween the curent story and his own life. his bitterness showed itself along with his lack of faith in the majority of mankind. "I know how this will turn out, it is my own lives story. THese children, if not now, their descendants, will be seen as too strong in the eyes of the nobles. THey are a threat, it is true, though weather or not they would ever turn ion this village... that is uncertian, however, al those in positions of power and all those not in the same place as they will know that they will not want to run the risk. In some way, they will try to pick the off and dispose of these ninja until either they are all gone, or the ninja find out and turn against them. Isn't that always how this story plays out?" Kusari's question was rehtorical. Atleast now his temper had coled. He did not mean disrespect to the elder woman, not that he gave respect either as that was rarely Kusari's way, but his bitterness towards his own life and the similar stories was venting itself.

It was all happening so fast, it was like having her past come up to her and smack her in the face. Had she really given in to thinking about loss that she completely forgot about those that were still there? Even though Rasen hinted that he had other family, but she never really met them face to face. Or at least she couldn't remember if she had. I can only guess that the reason for my lapse in my memory is because of those blackouts I have. she thought to herself.

"I know... Lord Rasen passed away almost four years ago... just like Brawen Mitoshi... but... we have to look forward. They wouldn't have wanted me to mourn over them for long. It's okay... they are all still alive within me. Thier techniques, thier legacy, I know them and shall pass them down through my own lineage." she said rather softly, the two people she would never forget. Along with them were a few others who's memories only pained her for she had yet to avenge thier deaths. Those that taught her to be strong, to get her to where she was today, it was all thanks to them.

While she listened to what Sora and Arya had to say, she noticed Kaida had started to cry. She knew that she was still a child, and even though she spoke out of anger, that nothing was meant as an attack. Kaida spoke of trading her bloodline if she could, which was something she didn't want to hear. With her left hand, Nakamura reached out to touch a tear that managed to stray from Kaida's wiping. The moment her finger made contact with it, the teardrop froze in place. "It's alright Kaida. Anger makes us do things and say things we wouldn't normally do... and don't say you would trade your lineage. You don't mean that either. All you have endured, you would give it up now? Our past is what makes us strong in the present. You say all it does is make you hurt people. Are you telling me that you haven't aided anyone with it? Not even your brother?" she asked, shifting her glance towards him. Almost as if she wanted Kaida to think about what she had said, Nakamura walked towards Sora, coming within five feet of her.

With a saluted step with her left foot, she bowed to her. The long flowing ponytail around her back flipped itself over onto her left side, forcing it to collect itself upon the floor. "We would be honored to join you." she said to Sora. Even if the others didn't want to come, she felt that it would do them good if they did. She knew Kusari was onto something having brought up what happened to himself in the Land of Waves. People don't know what they are doing, setting the trap for a mouse, yet getting caught in the trap themselves after it had been built and set. her hair flicked back up with a single shot upwards from her bow. It wasn't often nor to everyone that Nakamura would bow to show her respects. This was going to be the first time since she had seperated herself from a previous sensei with the same name as the Elder Hyuuga.

Sora looked tired, so worn...perhaps way more advanced than simply in years. Once one of the most powerful shinobi of this village but now only a lingering shadow of a generation long gone. How many loved ones had she lost? Saw die before her eyes, fallen in battle...or the crueler murders... And only more of this endless torture would come, with each extended year of her life. To Kusari she answered: "I know. Thus I cannot leave this world peacefully..." She said quietly. "...for the sake of this village's children."

She openly acknowledged Kusari's prediction. The centuries' old tale of tragedy. "Very soon, they will know of suffering beyond their worst nightmares." A soft pause before she fixed opaque eyes on Kusari. "In Pandora's jar..." She began. "...was the last to leave truly hope?" Pale eyes grew heavy-lidded with sadness. "Or was it despair? Yet..."

"Even as their cold smiles become just a little warmer, it gives me hope." Sora in turn set her gaze on Nakamura. "Despite however fleeting...isn't that what inspires us all to move forward? What connects us with those passed on and those to come...the inherited dream."

Sora rearranged her bags of groceries before motioning for the group to follow. "Do come in."

"I...I helped Wahotts once... that was the only time it was ever helpful..." Kaida murmered seemingly lost in her own world of thought. She was one of the altered children of the new era. THough not for good causes, she knew that she was amongst them. SHe had been changed by force by other people whose motives and afiliations were still a mystery, but the premises were the same. Why was it she was a target as she was? Why had it happened? because of her blood line, because of her power... her curse. Because of it Kusari was the way he was, and Kaida had grown up a prisoner and her mother eventually died from being away from their father who was the spring from which her bloodline flowed. THe way she saw it Mama would still be alive, Kusari would be happy all the time, and Kaida would be with her family in the village fo the mist, maybe being a normal little girl... though... then i might not have met Wahotts... Or Ayala, and Nakamura might be dead or a different person, and she might be a prisoner under the tyranical master in kirigakure as well as like these other children they wer talking about... The futility that she suddenly felt in it all almost made her cry again until Wahotts nudged her from behid to remind her he was there with her. Kaida smiled a little and hugged hi tightly, the frozen tear still on her cheek.

Wahots knew the uncertainty and depression that was threatening to attempt to claim her. Wahotts hated it when she got like that. It made him feel shut out and weak. He thought that it wasn't just a facet of her personality but in fact something truly wrong with her but he didn't know how to explain it to others or who to tell. She seemed to brighten up a little when she turned and hugged him and he raised a paw so it was higher on her shoulder as if a strange attempt to return the gesture.

hope...it drives some forward, for others it is all they have to cling to...but those brightened faces she sees that inspire her so...could simply be them learning how to form masks, or they coudl truely bebreaking down thier cold hearts, it is impossible to tell and the eternal gamble that leads them into histories like mine, for if you give up and act first, you take away the hope, but if you wait, they might take it for you... Kusari thought these thigns but said nothing, Instead deciding to listen and offer assitance to the woman who he had just witnessed Nakamura bow to. He was one who, save to Nakamura or on her request, never bowed to anyone, but he could show respect and the like in other ways. Anyone Nakamura would bow to, he would trust for the time being. Kusari attempted to show his lack of hostility towards the woman in his own way.
"Can i Help you with those?" he asked motioning towards the groceries she had rearanged as he waited for the ladies to enter before he, as was the proper way. Besides, the cieling looked a little low for his unusual height.

Sora returned a regal half-bow to Nakamura, right arm swept over her left shoulder, as customary of traditional formal greetings. However, she could not afford to follow up with the slight sinking by the bending of the knees...only heaven knows what effect it would have on her old body. She repeated the same gesture then to Kusari, before replying softly with a light smile on her weathered face: "It would be most appreciated."

Sora would then lead the group into the first building of the estate - closest bordering the courtyard, the dining hall. Next to the dining hall, on the left and right were the kitchens. On the other side, on the left was situated the grand building for the library and on the right, the armory. Further down in the estate would be the main and branch compounds, in actuality a grand pavilion arranged in an upside down 'U' formation...suspended over river waters and connected by ornate wooden bridges. Lilies of powder-pink lazily floated on the river surface and fish of fire and gold swam casually.

Around the main estate was what remained of the original Hyuuga village: the clan marketplace as well as ancient agricultural fields. Of course, the fields were abandoned for some six centuries and went pending heavy consideration to be revamped into training fields.

It was a mystery how Hyuuga got along the year and half of the Fire Master's reign, when all of the twelve tribes of Konoha shut themselves from any contact with the usurper's croonies. But then again, the Hyuuga were good friends of the Senju, so figures obtaining food was not a problem. Their compounds may be on opposite sides of the village, but the Senjus were able to somehow coax the barren fields of the Hyuuga lands to be productive...even heavily assisting with tending the crops. An art that was lost eons ago, when deemed 'useless'...yet in the oddest of circumstances became one of the primary necessities for survival.
