"Oh, forgive me for not introducing myself. Yes, I am Dr. Morlock. I start working at the hospital in a couple days...I supose I'll see you around?"
She looked at her watch.
I'm sorry to leave so abruptly but I must get going; I have a couple of errands to run in town. It was nice meeting you."
She picked up her copy of Paradise Lost and put it back in her bag.
"If you have any questions feel free to drop by my office in the Hospital, it's down by the labratories. Well, I'll be off now...later."
She collected her garbage before she left.

Merrique wanders around the hotel's first floor trying to get a feel for the place, she ventures out into the living area which has couches and tables and a large variety of vending maching.
Her eyes go wide as they scan the huge variety of junkfood at her disposal.
Mmmmm, I'm soooo hungry, she moans, and her stomache grumbles in agreement.
She wanders over to the nearest one and pops her money in, makes a selection, and waits for the chocolate bar to pop out... waiting ... waiting... waiting... for a candy bar that wasn't comming.
Argh!!!she growls...Why does this always always happen to me???
Screw this... She declares as she stomps back towards her room.I'm going back to my room and making me some real food... delivery order style!!

Kamui watched the woman stomp away from the junkfood vending machine, but only moments after she did, the machine made a noise, and the chocolate bar she had wanted landed in the pick-up slot. He walked over to the machine, retrieved the bar, and then hurried after Merrique. "Hey...you forgot something." He said nonchalantly, handing it to her.

Oh! Hey thanks!, replies Merrique taking the candy bar from Kamui and unwrapping it.
Here you go, she says as cracks the candy in half and presses it into Kamui's hand It's the least I could do after you didn't eat it on me , she says laughing.
She takes a bite of her half still chuckling a little.
Mmm, by the da way the name ish Merrique, she says through a mouthful of chocolate.
Pweased to meet cha, she adds giving a little bow.

Morticia stepped into the pleasent lobby of the Gaian Apartments and walked over to the main desk. She smiled at the receptionist and said,
"I've just rented an apartment here. My name's Morticia Morgue."
"A moment please."
The woman typed soemthing in and waited for the computer to load. Once it did she nadded and said,
"apartment 21."
She turned and picked a key off the wall, then handed it to Morticia.
"Do you have any bags?"
"They should be in at any moment. Is it alright to have them sent up to my room?"
"Sure thing. Thanks for choosing Gaian Apartments."
Morticia smiled and made her way over to the elevator, punched in the floor number, and waited for the elevator to arrive.

The elevator finally came, and Morticia climbed in alone. She hit the "2nd floor" button and was off. It took only seconds before she was stepping out of the elevator and searching for her room.
"25, 24, 23, 22...ah, here it is. 21."
Morticia opened the door with a turn of the key and stepped inside. It was a small, cozy apartment, with a kitchen/eating room, small living room, 1 bathroom, and 2 bedrooms, 1 typical size and 1 small. She smiled and set her backpack down on the couch, then set her guiatr case against the couch, and proceeded to check out her bath room and bedrooms...

Tael realised her legs were feeling rather stiff. She decided to get up and actually talk to some of the others who had gathered in the room. She approached the woman and man (she had thought she had heard them calling themselves Kamui and Merrique).
Hi. I'm Tael Nightengale, weeeeellll... technically it's Dr. Nightengale, but eh... Anyway. Hi!

Morticia got up when she heard a knock at her door. She walked over and just opened it, seeing the bell boy standing there.
"Miz Morgue?"
"Yes."
"I have your ztuff right here."
Morticia smiled and helped the bell boy unload bows off the cart and into the apartment. She dug into her pocket, pulled out some money, and handed it to him. He smiled, thanked her, and was off, no doubt to deliver more loguage.
Morticia closed her door and looked at the mess now invading her living room. Messy boxes with what most would call useless junk. She rumaged through titled "FRAGILE", and pulled away newspaper. She pulled out a sleek black laptop, and walked over to the counter with it. She plugged it in to charge the battery.
The laptop was the newest thing Morticia owned, then most likely the thing that worked the best. She had an older Dell computer in another box, along with an outdated scanner and an even more outdated printer. She's have to figure out where to set everything up later...

Morticia sighed and began the task of unloading the boxes. Each box with clothing, books, or art supplies was put into her bedroom, her computers in the spare bedroom.
Then she got to the heavy boxes. She was forced to drag a box into her spare room. Once in there, she opened it slowly, and began pulling out a disassembled microphone stand, cords, and the mic. It was old and very beat up. It was a wonder the damn thing even worked.
That she had a reason to use it much. Music wasn't her profession, as much as she wished it was. Nor was writing, or art.
No, Morticia was now a certified nurse. Her job at the Gaian Hospital began the following week.
Until then, she had to make do with unpacking her crap, and making her cash stretch until her first pay day...
A very hard thing for Morticia to do...

Kamui smiled as he looked from Merrique to Tael. Then he took a bite out of his half of the candy bar. "Nice to meet the both of you. I'm Kamui. Kamui Uesegi. I'm an intern at the Gaian Hospitals."

Morticia spent a good two hours unloading her over used and beat up mics and computer. It was all sitting in her spare room, along with a small guitar amp, and her Demona guitar, next to her laptop the newest thing she had. She smiled and walked back into the living room, pushed a box of clothes off the couch, and collapsed on it. She sighed and kicked her black platforms and began searching the couch for the TV remote.
Her room included a TV set, which she was greatful for.
She found it and clicked it on, seeing the news.
"A bus filled with children heading to the Gaian grade school flipped over today. 4 inguries, no casualities."
"Well that's good," Morticia said as she opened a box next to her and shifted through it. Her very personal and important objects. Old notebooks filled with songs and poems, some CDs, a few photographs...
And her nursing degree, still in tact in it's frame.

Merrique smiled at Tael and Kamui.
Well, as you already know,she said motioning at Kamui,My name's Merrique, and I'm here as a...she paused, tourist... mmm... well not really a tourist, more of a visitor.
My cousin's been transfered here from our local hospital, we're very close, so when she mentioned feeling a little alone here I decided it was my job as a good, upstanding cousin, to come and keep her company.
Merrique popped the rest of her bar into her mouth. Chewing on it thoughtfully she wondered aloud, I can't imagine what it must be like for some people who have no one to care for them. I know if anything like this ever happened to me, I'd want someone to be there for me, you know what I mean?
A little frown took the place of the once bright smile upon her face. She glanced around a little nervously as thoughts of solitude and emptiness and being alone filled her head.
Well! Enough of that! she exclaimed suddenly, a smile lighting up her face almost as quickly as it had disappeared, I was about to order up some lunch, you guys know of any good resturants around this place? I sure could use a bite to eat. That little bar only made me realize how hungry I really was!
As if in agreement her stomache choose this time to make some noise, adding it's thoughts into the mix.
Merrique grined, You two are more then welcome to join me!She said motioning towards her apartment.
It's up to you.

Morticia stood up and stretched, setting the framed degree back down on the couch, she walked to the door, grabbing a key off the table, and stepped out, locking her door behind her.
She hadn't eaten since breakfest, and she was straving. And, of course, being the oh so smart one, the only food she brought were 4 bottles of water, a thing of pop-tarts, and a box of cereal. Real smart girl.
She sighed and leaned against her door, pondering where to get lost in search of her dinner...

I think there's a nice restaurant down the street. I've heard a lot about it before I came here. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet, Tael said, remembering the place she passed on her way back from the Hospital. She looked at Kamui, You coming? It's only like a few minutes walk from here.
