I like her too, she's less bossy than the last time we saw her in The Runaway Bride. She makes for a good comedic partner for David Tennant's Doctor. If she were paired up with the 9th Doctor I don't think the chemistry would have worked out as great. I can only imagine the banter that the Doctor will have to put up with if she and Capt. Jack ever meet. LOL pirate

Jack ever meet. LOL pirate That would be hilarious. I agree with most people it seems, I like Donna, now that she's toned down. It'll be nice to have a companion who won't fall in love with the Doctor. It annoyed me when Martha did that, for one it was completely out of character, and two, I am a kind of hardcore #10xRose shipper (She's coming back YAY!). And I agree with the Doctor, sometimes you just need a friend.

I seem to remember that Donna said something in TRB about the Doctor needing someone to stop him [from getting all crazy], and I think she's doing a wonderful job at that. She doesn't let him get away with anything. xd

[I love her. She's a total legend, esp. in Fires of Pompeii. She seemed very natural and reacted like you'd really expect someone to, which I liked razz ]
[anyone's better than Rose was in season 2, for me -.-]

I love her for two reasons:
One, they toned her down a bit, making her less "This woman needs to be slapped" to "This woman is charmingly cheeky".
Two, and the most important, she ISN'T TRYING TO BOINK THE DOCTOR ALL THE FREAKING TIME!!! Rose's love I could sort of forgive even if it grated on my nerves, Martha's love was really REALLY pushing it, if Donna started falling for The Doctor, I would have traveled all the way to england just so I could slap RTD in the face.
In. The. FACE!
Thankfully RTD isn't completely stupid. Just a little dim.

I think Donna will very soon be my most favorite companion.
She's SO GREAT.
I love the DoctorDonna reactions. They're classic.
It's also incredibly amazing to FINALLY have a season in which the companion isn't madly in love with the Doctor. sweatdrop

I like her a lot. Everyone, including myself, pre-judged her based on The Catherine Tate Show (which I freely admit got really annoying after the first season) but that was never going to reflect on her in the show. I think she got a raw deal because of it. I mean, my flatmate refused to watch the show after he heard she was joining the cast! I dragged him into it though and even he's had to admit he doesn't hate her like he thought BECAUSE SHE'S ACTUALLY GOOD.
I also just like having a not-weepy-needy young woman who (thankfully) has stopped shouting and over-acting. I think she'd work really well with another companion joining them too which to be honest I never felt with Rose or Martha because they acted so possessive there was no space for anyone else (even Captain Jack!). And that's a bad feeling to have around the Doctor of all people.
Donna is really likeable, she reminds me of a real person and I'm glad she's the new companion.

Yeah, I'm agreeing with Roobarb here.. wow. XDDD
I saw her in the Christmas special and the Catherine Tate Show, and disliked both immensely... turns out she's actually a good actor and I like this season more than S3 (which had some of the best episodes)...
You're right, it's incredibly refreshing to have someone, who from the beginning makes it clear that she's not in love and going to be all possessive. And as long as it doesn't turn into something where she eventually falls in love with the Doctor (doubt it, really) then it'll be getting even better. ^^

Not sure if this is a reflection on the actress or the character, but with Donna there's drama rather than melodrama. And for that, I love her.
I want her to meet Ianto! xD I mean, surely she'd have met him at least once already while investigating "funny stuff in Cardiff" or whatever she said, I forget. And yeah, Jack and Donna meeting would just be hilarious. I think it might happen, if so I'd be soooooo happy!

I like Donna, she brings life to the party.
I liked Martha, but I wasn't too happy with the whole 'I love this bloke who's completly rude to me.' thing.
I loved Rose, I still love Rose- sure, she loved the Doctor but they were primarily best friends.

Donna is what The Doctor needs right now. She counters him very well. Back in the olden days lol the companions were not smitten with The Doctor every time he turned around. I am glad to see someone that will stand up and say look at yourself in the mirror because he was getting a bit uh... dare I say, a bit self righteous as a chacter. Well, maybe that is a bit strong but he is not the perfect person he tends to think he is. I am afraid to give an example due to spoilers...
