He shook his head. "Your fine for a father..." he said, moving to follow his father. "You just make mom sad when you leave to go home...Its not fair. I mean you act all lovey dovey and like you really love her...But you always leave. It makes no sense." He said. He shrugged. He honestly didn't care that much, but seeing his mother in her saddened state, no matter how much she smiled and laughed, bothered him. And he didn't understand the hypocricy of love. Undying devotion...and yet being able to walk away at the end of the day so easily...It was so stupid.

Jazz sighed at his sons answer and felt a string of saddness vibrating within his chest. He wasn't sure of how to reply to his son's words. It was a difficult subject and he was still too young to understand. It was at times like these that he saw just how different his two sons were. "Many things in this life are not fair, Antirr. You will come ot find this out as you grow older." he began slowly trying to come up with the right answer or atleast one that would satisfy his son. "I do really love your mother and I too become sad when I have to leave. But my home is with Skye and your grandmother." he said.

"THen why leave! if you really cared you wouldn't be able to leave! you'd have to stay! You don't have to live in one place your whole life!" He spred his legs to ground himself as he glared up at his father. "if You had half a brain or half a heart you'd forget the stupid human and the old lady and stay with us!" He snorted and turned. "I'll just tell Israfel to stay when you go home, he likes mom better then you anyway, and so do i." He looked back at him. "If you don't pick mom over your stupid sense of "home" then the moment i grow up i'm gone! And i'll only come back to see mom if your not around! THen you can explain to mom why your alienating your own son!" He turned back around and took off, heading back to where his mother and brother had gone.

The red stallion sighed sadly as he watched his son run off. His answer wasn't what his son wanted to hear and no matter what he said or did, he knew is stubborn son would not listen to him. He decided to stay at the river for a while and let Glow calm the boys down, for Israfel would surely be upset by his brothers actions.

Glow looked up as she heard little hooves running towards her and Israfel. Just by the sound she knew that Antirr was alone, a sign that the talk hadn't gone well. Her ears lay back sadly. She didn't want to try and deal with the two easily excited colts alone. She sighed. "Israfel, would you be able to do somthing for me?" She asked softly.

Israfel looked up at his mother and his ears perked at the sound of his brother's approach. "Yes, mama, what is it?" he asked curiously not as upset as he had been before his father took his brother off to talk to him. He was rather curious as to what his mother wanted him to do.

"I want you to take your brother and go back and see your grandmother. Can you do that for me?" she nuzzled his cheek lightly. "I need to speak to your father and i'm not sure how long it will take so i'd like it if you can go stay with your grandmother while we talk. Its not that far away so you can come get us if somthing happens of course. But i think it might be good if you and your brother went and played with your grandmother." she smiled. "I think she would like that, don't you?"

Israfel nodded not really understanding why his mother wanted to talk to his father alone but glad to go back and see his grandmother. He nuzzled his mother back and gave her a bright smile. "Alright! Grandma would love that!" he said and bonded off to get his brother. "Antirr! We're going to see grandma!!" he called to him.

Antirr stopped. Going to Grandma's? He looked towards his mother who nodded to him lightly. He sighed and went to go with his brother. "Alright, alright."
Glow watched the two run off before she ran back to the river, and Jazz.

Jazz was still laying by the river watching as the fish swam here and there and went about thier lives. He was thinking, about everything and nothing at the same time.

Glow slowed as she approched Jazz. She lowered her head, ears still resting sadly against her skull. "Jazz?" she called softly as she approched him. She wasn't sure if he was paying much attention. Are you ok? What happened? Whats wrong? those and a million other questions buzzed through her head but she held silent as she stopped a few feet from him.

Jazz shook himself from his thoughts and looked up at his mate and tried to give her as best of a smile as he could manage. He knew how much she worried over things and he did not want to upset her in anyway. "Yes?" he asked wondering what was going through her mind.

"jazz...I think you should stay the night." She said softly. She moved closer, lightly nuzzling him "Please? Just for the night. They boys are going to stay with your mother." she was worried. She loved her family, deeply, but this seemed to cause a huge riff. A gap of sorts. She only hoped it could be breached.

He smiled at her and returned her light nuzzle. He loved her more than anything else and he felt the same way about his sons. He would do anything to see that they were happy. He knew just by the look in her eyes that she was worried. "Alright. If that is what your heart desires, I will stay." he said softly and nuzzled her again. He didn't mind staying and it was actually a nice change of pace for him. Lately the teepee had been getting crowded and it would be nice to be away from all of it.
