He smiled at her as he could see the regret in her eyes, "Don't worry about it," he smiled and nosed her cheek. "Merciette," he paused, "Lovely name." He tossed his mane trotted, with his head held high before shaking some leaves that had caught in his mane out, and stopping a few moments to glance at her and smile. He rose his brow at her, why was she holding herself back? His brow furrowed as he walked ahead of her and moved towards a slope that a stream fell down next to it, as if it were a small waterfall, to get to the sea they needed to travel down a spiraled slope. It used to make him dizzy, but now he was used to it. He looked back at her and made his way down. He could already smell the salts of the seas. It brought a smile to his face.

At his touch, Merciette felt her body lock up and her breath hitch in her throat. She was thoroughly disgusted with herself for wanting to jerk away... And for wanting to indulge in the simple gesture. Instead, she averted her gaze, but gave a polite, reassuring smile. She knew if she rebuked his actions she'd end up alone again.
"Thank you," she gratefully responded watching him toss his mane. The mare forced herself to not grin, but to be told her name was lovely... It was just so comforting. She had gone so long without even hearing it be spoken, only being reffered to as a "rat" and other foul things. She tried to keep up with him better this time, but still stayed at a cautious pace. At the spiral slope Merciette had slowed, trying not to look down. It wasn't that she'd get dizzy, but... It was too much like the mountain slope from which she came.
She tried to not visibly shudder at the thought.
"A-Adonis," the name came out in an unintentional stutter, "How much farther till this beach you spoke of?"
He was just so close.
Her scent was in the air. It was a faint whiff he caught onto while training his daughter. She was still picking herself off from the ground when a stray breeze came their way... And he picked up on the scent of a dirty rat. Persephonix had been wary that he'd forget what she smelt like... That she'd be feet away and would not recognize it. But after that breeze, it was like being in that cramped cave all over again.
So he had turned tail and bolted in the direction, leaving his daughter confused. But now wasn't the time to care what his pathetic daughter thought. What mattered was that he was finally so close to his goal... And this time, he wouldn't even give her the benefit of living.
But there was another scent... A stallion's. It was safe to assume that it was just some fool. No male in their right mind would go near such an ill-fated mare. Well... Maybe a fool would. He snarled at the thought, not finding the thought of finding some bumbling idiot with the rat pleasant.
His steps slowed as te scent got stronger. He heard a voice... But he couldn't distinguish what was being said. His ears perked and his nostrils flared. Whatever little bit of reason he had snapped. It was all instinct from now on. The voice was that of the filthy rodent that his father had bred. He had heard it a million times....
His pace slowed. He still couldn't see them... But he was jut so close! It frustrated him... But it was better to remain hidden. For now, at least.

"Here," he replied as he moved some treee branches out of her way, they opened to be a clearing of white sand and clear blue sea leading into darker hues of blue. Looking out, the sea and beach was all you could see, the sand got cut off by cliffs one had a grove in that he slept in often. He waited for her to pass and as he looked up the waves crashed, his eyes started to wander, as if the ocean was his sixth sense. His brows furrowed, "Stay close," he looked to her. "It could be just Pandora, she's herere sometimes...but she knows me so you'll be fine." Something inside him told him it wasn't Pandora though. He smiled softly reassuring her, that she'd be okay.

There was just something so amazingly beautiful about how the land met the water. The salt tickled her nose, but it wasn't an unwelcomed scent. She walked past him quietly and in awe... A little saddened that she had missed out on this in her childhood. Her gaze was glued to the crashing waves, inhaling and exhaling deeply. At least she was able to see this, she told herself. She was grateful.
At his warning, however, she had to tear her eyes from the scene to Adonis. "Pandora?" She murmured, watching him with worried eyes, "... A Kalona?" The words came out in a whisper, and she took a few steps back towards the shore. Her attention flickered between him to the trees and heavy foilage they had ventured from, inten on finding some sort of odd movement. She swallowed hard, but her mouth had become dry at the thought.
His smile couldn't reassure her this time. The feeling in the air was familiar. Menacing. Her ears began to flatten against her head, and she grit her teeth together as she tried to ignore where she knew this feeling from. A gut feeling, and her gut feelings were never wrong. Her lower lip trembled, and she continued to fall back towards the water.
"N-n-no," she stuttered, shaking her head, "Please, we have to keep walking, now." She stressed the last word, trying to plead with her eyes. She didn't want to say his name, let the monster know she knew that he was there. She didn't want to give him the satisfaction that she was forever aware of him.
Icey eyes locked onto the unfamiliar stallion, sizing him up. He snarled quietly as he took in the horn and the cloven hooves... The lion's tail. 'A unicorn.' He thought bitterly. Of course the rat would run to someone with a horn. A rather falmboyant one though. He kept his unneeded snickering to himself as he crept closer. Amusement came as he watched awareness of his presence cross the face of the orca-colored stallion. Of course, that imbecile had no clue who he was, but the way the rat acted...
Persephonix smirked as he flexed his wings, and he removed himself from the concealing trees and bushes. "Now now, dear pet," he hissed the words loud enough for her to hear, completely disregarding the horned fool that accompanied her, "You can't even speak my name, can you?" The smile on his face was condenscending, taking a step towards her. She hastily took one back. Oh, the look on her face! "But keep on walking backwards! Not like you can swim, you fool," he stretched his wings once more. He was almost in too good of a mood ot kill her!
Well... Almost.

Adonis looked at her as he followed her and heard a voice he wasn't expecting, someone unfamiliar. He pushed himself in front of her and snorted at him in warning. He flipped his bangs from his face, he was good at that. He was shocked, he could tell that the two were obviously related by there coloring. He refrained from asking who he was, because he didn't care. "Take a hike, or a fly with those hideous wings of yours. I might vomit if I have to look at you any longer," he smirked. He could feel the adrenaline pumping in him as if something inside him was taking over, rage. He lowered his head at him, exposing his horn at him. "But I can give you a make over, if you like." he felt his muscles tense as he could feel Merciette's heat from behind him. He knew it would be painful, he had fought kalonas before...he had the scars. He healed faster than them though, he could be just as vicious and heal twice as fast. Let him fight him.

The small flicker of amusement on his face became more than just that. It was evident that he thought of this as a game. Persephonix's brows rose and his smirk became sickeningly wide, and his eyes mocked the multi-hued unicorn before him. "Well aren't you witty." He rolled his eyes and folded his wings. "It's no wonder a silly little wench would follow such a stallion." He began to walk towards Adonis, his eyes locked on his face.
"If you're going to spout some heroic crap, I really don't care to hear it. Save me some time and just get out of the way. This is a family matter." He emphasized the one word he hated to use when addressing the rat... But he wasn't going to deny that they were in some sick way related. But now wasn't a time to mull over the taint of his blood.
He could tell the dense stallion was probably going to play hero. A growl emitted from the base of his throat, and he reared up onto his hind legs. He flexed his wings threateningly, before coming down on the stallion with cloven hooves.
(I don't like to rp fights, cause I'm so afraid I'll do something that'll be considered god-moding. So obviously Adonis can dodge him, get trampled, stab Persy in the stomach, anything. 8D )

[[You can god-mod if you want, xD Idc. Kalonas are good fighters, and I wont have him dodge. That'd be laame. Don't worry you cant go to far with me, unless you kill him. XP Anyways. We already discussed kinda what was going to happen so, I think it'll be fine. Gorgeous foal! -tosses her black basket at it]]
Adonis let his own smile as he watched him, "Do you ever shut up? Kalonas or half kalonas never shut up these days." he shook his head. He wasn't good at playing hero. He was over that when Shairi left him, gods how he missed her. He still needed to grip the fact that she was never coming back. He didn't know why he always thought of her when he fought, it just happened.
He watched the male rear up, he didn't move. He didn't want to, call him crazy but he always walked away with at least one scar. He winced as the hooves came down on his shoulder, only grazing it. If he was any closer he would be feeling bones shattering, now it was just flesh peeling back and the pain of muscle and blood touching the cool air. He looked at him and then at the wound, "Is that all you have in you?" he laughed. His tail flicked behind him as his head tilted. He waited for his move, he went into a bit of a rear but hardly as if he were just going to head butt him in a childlike manner but at the last moment he lowered his head so the sharp tip of his horn was aimed for the other male's side, before taking a seconds notice he made the move.

Half-breed.
It was the only word that when used towards him pulled such a violent reaction from the stallion. So when he came down on the stallion and missed any bones... A threatening snarl ripped from is throat. It was amazing that Persephonix could even see at all with his eyes narrowed so much, glaring at the unfamiliar unicorn. As his hooves touched the ground and he turned to attack once more, he saw that Adonis had moved in for an attack of his own.
All Persephonix felt was a distinct pain in his side when the other male's horn penetrated the skin. He felt a rush of warmth coming from the wound - blood. Enraged, the Kalona pulled himself away from the unicorn and charged at him, his head lowered and his ram horns aimed right for a head-butt against the side of the neck. His sharp teeth grinded together as he focused on getting back at the fool. He'd regret protecting the rat.
If there was anything he had to make sure of today, it was that.

Adonis moved his vunerable neck away and put his shoulder into it. He let the impact stumble and his leg fall from under him but he got back up wearily, something was wither fractured or broken. He felt a sharp pain and looked down to see pearly white protrude from his pelt, just near where he had gotten scraped from his cloven hooves. Adoni yawned boredly at him, he was in a great deal of pain but he used to get greater beatings back home. He was almost let down.
He threw his head back and aimed for Persphonix, he aimed for between his chest and shoulder. That would handicap him for awhile, and not kill him. Though if he got deep enough he could hit an internal and he could bleed to death. That was up to the male if he kept fighting his horn would go deeper and deeper.
