The chinchilla and all his things were paid for, the child was happy, her credit card was back in her disappearing wallet (Seriously, don't ask where she keeps it) and she was...really late on her errands. Oh well, that didn't matter much. She had all day, and Shauna could always just tell her mother she got lost!
That'd be totally convincing. A fox getting lost in her own home.
Shauna's thoughts were interrupted by a big hug, blinking and looking down at Suzu. Confusion and surprise melted into a warm smile, bending down to return the hug and give him a friendly kiss on his temple. "I know I didn't, I wanted to. There's a difference." She giggled and ruffled his hair. "Are you and Rufus going to be okay on your own? I have to go see some people about my mother's wedding, but if you want I can see you home."

The hug was returned and accompanied by a kiss no less. Suzu flushed a little as he moved out of the hug, but he smiled, "Yes, I know, but still..." it was hard for him to accept any extra kindness from someone else, especially of the expensive kind.
He nodded at her question as he wandered back to the counter where he left Rufus. "Yes, Miss Shauna. We should be fine on our own." He smiled more brightly at her as if to convince her of that fact. "Sorry to have kept you. I should be getting home now anyhow, to await the delivery and such." Hopefully someone would be home to help him put it together.
With everything in hand that he is able to carry he turned and left the store with a final farewell and well wishing for the errands Shauna needed to get done...
