OMG! How about a Hyena?! Lol, it would be sooo awesome. But a reptile would be considerable different as well. I think what you are thinking of is a Albino Burmese Python. Very cool indeed.

I looked through the page. Her quest is closed now? Also it says she adopted Sevilin here, I'm assuming this is old?

Yes, her quest is closed, but not because she adopted Sevilin. If you remember, Slann a.k.a We'rika became Sev's guardian. That link is for Wing's entry to that adoption contest. She thought she'd share with everyone even though she didn't win.
For last year's summer festival, Wing's helped Kyou out with planning and running the event. As a thank you, she was made a guardian and given the Mimic Stone. If you read the latest stuff in her journal, you'll see that the soul is going to be a gargoyle. But since you are talking essences that's a little different, but still...if you really like the idea, I suggest talking to Wings and Kyou about it.

Oooooooooooh I see, I see. Yes, I remember Sevilin belonged to Slann :] I figured what might've happened was she had adopted Sevilin and then gave him up or something, I really have no idea o_9'
I really do like it, and now I understand the situation I guess I could try messing with the concept a little... I wouldn't want it to be too much like a Gargoyle, like the Soul would make, just the night to day change is what I was really going for so I guess if I can think of some kind of equivalent, all will be well :]

Of course, but I was thinking the properties of both would be very different. With the Sun and Moon Shard, the Raeven'd have properties of both, and with the Gargoyle Stone, during the day, it would be like a statue, only actually being alive at night. o_9' If I can think of a way to either combine them... or improve on one of them... then I'll be a happy camper.

That could also work, I suppose... hmm... it doesn't have to be entirely moon related, either, it's really like... day and night differences that I'm looking for, not strictly moon and sun xD
I think I like Mouse's idea, of how the affects wax and wane and such...
Maybe... the essence makes them turn to stone on the new moon? I dunno o_9'''
