Koorie sweatdropped a little more. "Not really...."
It wasn't that she didn't like doing anything, it was the fact that she was at a severe disadvantage when she was out of the water; she had no hind legs. She couldn't run or even walk like the other Namir, like Flame; no, instead she had to balance herself in a handstand of sorts with her finned rear end flopping down around her.

Flame sighed. "I guess I shouldn't assume things. It's just that I would get bored. But then again, I don't swim, so I can't really say anything."
He laughed a little. "My experiences with swimming didn't turn out so great. But I guess not everyone is good at everything. My talent is running, yours is swimming." He gazed at her for a moment and then spoke again. "That's what makes us unique I guess."

Koorie nodded, feeling a bit ashamed for once of herself. She was so different from him, and she felt at a real disadvantage with his inability to be in water. A bit of pain welled up within her, but she quickly squished it; what good would self pity be?
"I suppose...." That was the only thing she could manage to say, anything else would have caused a small mental break down.

"Ah? Hey! I didn't mean anything bad by that...I just mean..." Flame thought for a moment. 'Ah, what the hell am I trying to say?' He didn't want to sound like an idiot, and he definitely didn't want to offend her.
"I just mean...what makes unique is what makes us who we are. The things that makes us different are the things that we should be proud of. Like...you're ears and your fins. They're unique, it's pretty cute." He grinned at her. "But we have similarities too." he lowered his head to show off his horn. "We both have these pretty awesome horns."
He sighed and lowered his eyes a little when he realized he was rambling. 'Ah, I ended up sounding like an idiot anyway...dammit.'

Koorie raised an eyebrow. 'My ears...?' She thought to herself. She didn't even have ears; she had holes in her head were the ear canal was, but she had no physical ear flaps. She didn't say anything on the subject, however, noting that the poor male was already flailing.
A very small smile came across her face and she nodded. "We do have some pretty nice horns...." She agreed with him. He was trying so hard, and she gave a sigh. "Alright, I'll bite; what do you want to do...?"

Flame smiled when he saw her smile. "You really are prettier when you smile."
He thought about something the two of them could do. No matter how hard he tried his mind wandered to the mountains. He wanted to back up there, back where he wouldn't have to worry about catching anything on fire. Back where he felt free and wild. He loved the feeling he got when he was up there, and the view was great too. He wondered what Koorie would think of it. He sighed, knowing that she wouldn't be able to walk up there with no back legs.
Then he got the idea of carrying her on his back. Then she would get to see the greatness of the mountains too. He started to say something but then stopped himself. He knew she would probably never go for that. He laughed at himself for thinking that.

Koorie felt her cheeks burn as Flame complimented her, and she hoped that it wasn't vissable through her white fur. Why was he complimenting her?!
Her tailed end swished a bit and the tip of her tail, the finned part, twitched gently as he opened his mouth, then closed it and started laughing. "What's so funny....?"

Flame noticed her blush, but he didn't say anything. He just smiled.
"Nothing. It's just the idea I had...It's not funny, really." He really did want to go to the mountains. "Have you ever wanted to see the mountains? I mean up close?"

Koorie said nothing at first. 'Go to the mountains...? What was he thinking?' She looked at him for a while, then nodded. "Yes..." She finally admitted. "I have on occasion found myself wondering what the mountains looked like...

Flame grinned. "They're great! I don't know how they compare to the ocean or the lake or anything...but I'm sure you would like it." He paused for a moment and then said, "I could take you."

Koorie sweat dropped once again. "Excuse me...?" She was in a bit of shock, surprised by his clear want to share his world with him.
Coughing, her tail twitched a bit. "How, pray tell, would you take me....?" She was a bit nervous at what he was planning.

He had known that she would not be thrilled about his idea, but he proceeded to tell her about it anyway. He tossed his fiery head over his shoulder, motioning to his back and then looked back at her. "I could carry you..." He grinned and continued, "Come on, it will be more fun then sitting here."

Koorie stared at him for a while before she finally spoke. "Not on your life..." She gave him a flat look before turning her head. Never would she stoop low enough to need to be carried for what ever reason. "If I can't make it on my own, then that's it. I won't be carried around like a doll."

"A doll? I never said you were a doll...doll's are much nicer than you are." He smirked and walked over to her. "Well, if you won't come willingly, I'll have to take you by force." He bent over, leaning his head down so that there was an easy access to his back, and then with one strong paw he picked her up and bent his arm around, putting her on his back. He stood up and began to walk toward the path leading up into the mountains, knowing that it wouldn't be an easy trek. He just hoped she wouldn't try to jump off. It would make things really difficult for him.

Koorie let out a small yelp of surprise when she was suddenly forced onto Flame's back. "Wha- what are you doing! Let me down this instant!" She struggled to keep her balance as he stood up, wrapping her tail around his middle to keep herself from falling off of him.
"This is an outrage!" She yelled out. Gently she bopped him on the head with her paw.
