Socrates in Disguise Bromisto I would play my guitar till I die. or your fingers got so raw they began to bleed and they ruined the guitar...and as a guitarist myself i must ask...HOW COULD YOU!? crying Play until I died? Well even if my fingers were to bleed and my fingers go raw I would continue to play. Have you ever been in that state of mind where it seems that nothing else exists but your playing? Your just so relaxed and into your music you forget about everything else. Thats what happens to me when i play. I just focuse on my music and everything around me just disappears. I would try to stay like that until I would die.

I know what you are talking about and that is very true, what I was asking was how could you ruin a guitar by bleeding on it...but if you are the last person alive, then their would probably be lots of guitars for the taking so who cares...Also pain would probably eventually break the tranquility of the music...so i dont think you could under normal sensory be able to play till you died.

Well wouldn't it really depend on the time it took for me to die?

I think this discussion about playing guitars until death...
Well... what about other things? I mean... some people here said they would swim to Japan, play RPGs... it's like... I did hear a story of one person who played a video game for three days strait or so, and the moment he stopped he just keeled over and died.
(Such a thing as too much gaming? sweatdrop )
I think, by a certain point, things just wouldn't matter to people... so, play on! 3nodding I would probably follow a simple thing: Eat. Sleep. Play. Maybe, as someone else said, leave behind a track for someone to find. I would wonder though... given there is another intelligent race out there, about how long would it take them to actually understand what is written?
About trying to "repopulate" if you found another person, or through cloning... the problem would be you need many people that aren't related very closely to make enough generations of difference to repopulate. Otherwise you would run into the problem that royal families did: "inbreeding". gonk

I'm confused, everyone here seems to be favouring an animalistic return to simple hedonism. Play games, eat, sleep, destroy things.
That was the very last thing on my mind.
Are you all serious, or just taking the question more lightheartedly than I was?

Are you all serious, or just taking the question more lightheartedly than I was? What was the first thing on your mind then... and why? I know I'm being serious as I can be on such a question. I mean... it's simply an answer that can't be determined unless the conditions actually did exist. sweatdrop It would be like... asking what people would do were the world to end within 24 hours. Me? I imagine I would either want to spend it with friends and family... or, I would do what I normally do, being to just check e-mail, etc. I mean, the world is going to end, and that would be it for us at least. Might as well enjoy it. My thoughts on being the last person around? Might as well make the most of things... no? Yet, I can't guarantee I would enjoy it as I like company. sweatdrop

Well I would travel the world with a guitar in search for another person ((perferably female)). As I travel I would play my guitar so if there were to be another person out there, perhaps they would hear me playing and I would be much easier to be found. And the inbeeding is a big problem indeed but that is why you search for more than one person. And try to keep it so that your all not related.

If you WERE the last person on earth... all semblence of society and culture would become meaningless... and you would be left with self-preservation and self-fulfillment. I think I would immerse myself in a RPG or Sims... something with a semblence of life.
As for playing guitar... nothing compares to playing a guitar in the dark plugged into a super loud amp and then just let your fingers do the rest. And bleeding on your guitar certainly wouldn't ruin it. The worst I could imagine is that the strings or pickups become corroded.
So, I suppose... I would gather up the necessary supplies to survive... maybe move out to a farm where I could raise crops & animals (assuming there is a viable ecology) and then hole up playing guitar, video games & smokin hella buds. I'd probably go into a horrible depression after a while until I just gave up on life all together.
Many social animals will die without companionship.

Are you all serious, or just taking the question more lightheartedly than I was? Dead serious. I might even be tempted to go hunt down some atomic bombs. So far, the only good thing I can think of for all the humans being gone is all the free pr0n I want. And, to be completely honest, my motivation is definitely rooted from the fact that if everyone went somewhere, I'd want to go too, and without certain people on this earth, I'm bound to lose my mind sooner or later.

Yes, but if you were the last person on earth, you'd get bored of all the pr0n made, and you would never have any fresh material. rofl Yes, I think if everyone was gone... I'd do my best to enjoy myself for a year, maybe... then I'd go crazy from loneliness and have to join them all. Ah, one good thing... people wouldn't be telling me what to do. Or obligating me to do stuff. But I actually enjoy doing things for people, sometimes.

Well, I would build my own society made of wooden dolls, wooden houses, etc. The ones made of maple would think they were superior to the ones made of oak, and both oak and maple would think themselves superior to birch and accuse birches of having short twigs. Then, the birches would invent wood-puters and wood-puter games; and release super cypress-io for the nintentwig, and all the other kinds of trees would bow down to the mightyness of the birches, and the world would have weeaboos once again.
Then I would remeber my Japanese boyfriend, because I said weeaboo, and how he is dead, and how everyone else is dead too; and I would die of panic attack when I realized how alone I was.
Although I am an introvert, I need people around even though I don't want to interact. when there is nobody around for more than a few days, I begin to feel vulnerableto rediculous things and have panic attacks.
