This boy was quite awkward, he seemed at first very shy but then he jumped the gun with hugs and trying to make friends, a strange little guy. Damaris laughed a little as he hid himself behind the over sized sleeves again, "Sure Kliken, we can be friends." Damaris was never one to turn down an offer to be friends.
Now that he was released from the boys grasp Red reasumed his position on the lawn. He laid there waiting for Damaris to stop talking so that they could go home and he could eat. Now that they were no longer paying attention to him he lost all interst in the two children.

The boy gave an excited sound, "Really? Wow!" He murmured, wanting to bounce up and down he was so happy but he refrained, able to keep from doing so. He had made not one but two friends! A nice girl and her pretty blue dragon and just the fact that he had been able to do that in one day was something rather monumental in his world.
"Thank you, really. Thank you... you two are my first friends." He told her honestly, wanting the pair to know how much it meant to him.

"You'r...FIRST friends?" Damaris repeated shocked, "You mean you've never had any other friends before?" Kliken didn't look too young, and he could speak well enough, he didn't even look too much younger than herself.
Red peeked over at the two kids over hearing Damaris' shock. He took a mild interest, Damaris being friends with this boy meant he would see him again. Maybe the boy would become a good fan of him in time. He was already on the right track, apreciating him, admiring him, yes the boy had potential, Red thought to himself.

He gave a nod of his head, "Uh-huh... well maybe there some adult who are like friends. I do talk to some of the D-Techs when they aren't busy." He murmured, wondering if he could have adults for friends or not. Given that it seemed a lot easier to talk with Damaris and Red he wasn't so sure now.
His explaining that she and her dragon were his first friends did explain why he was playing outside by himself though, "Do you have lots of friends?" He asked curiously of her, "Is that what you were doing here today at D-Corp?"
He knew a little of what went on here, mostly what he over heard or saw when people didn't notice his presence. He knew that there were a lot of people that came in and out daily. Knew there were people that taught the other kids stuff. Knew only a little about the dragons he'd seen pictures of but never got closer to like he got close to Red.
He wondered what had brought Damaris here, was she coming to visit friends? To learn? Or something more interesting then that.

"Uhm, well...I have some friends, yeah..." Damaris said trying not to sound like she had a ton of friends or something to that effect to make the poor boy upset. "Does your mom or dad not let you out to play or something?" She asked unaware to the situation that the poor lad was in.
"Well, I had classes today, so that's why I'm here. Does your parent work here?" Damaris asked noting the lab coat, "I have a friend who's mom," saying the word mom a little soury considering Raven was hardly the model mother, "works here and he lives here with her. Is that why you're here?"

"This is the first time I have gotten to play outside for a while cause of the weather is warming up... but..." Kliken's smile fell a little and he gave a shake of his head, looking down at his feet for a moment, "Ummm... I... I am here because... because I live here."
He wondered if he should do that. To look among the staff, see if there was someone who could take him in? If her friend's mother worked here maybe here was where he should start looking? He wandered around a lot on his own so it might be a good way to spend time.
At the same time he found himself a little scared to go out looking for a parent on his own since D-Corp hadn't done very well themselves. His strange diet had put people off.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." Damaris said going to the boys side when he ceased to smile and began to look down trodden. Damaris knew how the boy must be feeling, maybe he was in the same situation she had been. Damaris knelt down in front of Kliken and put her hands on his shoulders.
"I used to live here too, for a while." Damaris said hoping that maybe if she explained what happened to her it might make Kliken feel a little better. "I was taken from my old family a while ago, and so I had to live here too. Not many of the adults paid much attention to me, or really wanted much to do with me." She explained, "But then one day I got a new home, they all of a sudden told me that they found a new adult that would take me in. It all happened really fast and I kind of didn't trust my dad at first." She said with a laugh, "But, he didn't give up on trying to be my dad. I'm sure you'll get a mommy or daddy soon too." Damaris said smiling at Kliken.
She didn't know if he had just had a prolonged adoption that had just not yet gone through, or if he had been rehomed too, but she knew it wasn't much fun to be living at D-Corp.

"D-Do... do you think so?" He asked quietly of her, "Do you think... there is someone who will want to keep me? I... have come back many times." He found himself confiding in her his secret since she knew what he was going through having to be placed in a new family. It was something that had him rather frightened, especially because it didn't seem as if the Techs were trying again to find him another parent.
They wouldn't give up would they?
Kliken's blue eyes got watery and he lifted up to scrub at his eyes with his sleeves as he didn't want to cry in front of anyone, especially his friend. He wanted to appear strong, "S-Sorry." He said, as he bit his lip to get his emotions back under control, "Sorry... just... scared maybe they won't find someone... cause I am weird."
He knew that he'd been brought back because his parents weren't able to handle the fact that most of what he ate was blood. It must be hard to have a child that didn't find an interest and mac & cheese or hot dogs or cookies. Normal food seemed to make his stomach a little queasy truth be told.

"I'm sure you'll find some one who will keep you, love you and be the best parent they can." Damaris said trying to reasure him. She gave Kliken a hug to try and console the boy.
She didn't normally like to become serious. Seriousness wasn't much her think. Messing around with her friends, doing crazy stuff, digging in dirt. That's what she would normally be doing. But she felt a connection to this little guy, she knew how he felt, but he said he had been rehomed more than once. That must be horrible for the little guy.

"Y-Yes..." Kliken said and leaned into Damaris, eyes closing for a moment, "I hope so. I-I loved them, all the nice people who looked after me." It just hadn't worked out was all, he couldn't blame them because of the way that he'd been made. There were surely parents out there somewhere that would be able to handle what he did, what he ate.
He looked up at Damaris then gave her a wobbly smile to show that he was trying to get over his sudden fit of tears. This hug was even nicer then the hug that he had gotten from Red.

"I'm sure you'll find somebody soon, and I'll be your friend, no matter what, kay?" She said feeling the bond they shared. It was hard to not have a family, and even harder to have had tasted the love of a family then had it taken away from you.
While the highly emotional and touching scene had been going on behind him, Red had decided now was a good a time as any to take a nap. The dragon was laying there asleep, snoring slightly as he was having a dream of some one leaving the refrigerator door open at home and all it's contents be open for grabs.

The little leech boy gave a rapid nod of his head, his smile becoming less and less wobbly as she spoke, "I would... like that very much Damaris." He said, snuggling against her in a contented sort of way. The snuggling was interrupted as the sound of snoring from the dragon. His blue eyes widened as he leaned back away from the girl so he could look towards where Red was laying.
He gave a soft giggle then, the sad mood now passed, "Hehe... Red is snoring." He murmured, sounding quite amused by it.

Damaris smiled seeing Kliken brighten up some, "He does that a lot, though it's not as funny when he's sleeping at the bottom of my bed." She said with a giggle.
AJ had boughten a large dog bed for Red when he came to live at the house, however Red would not degrade himself to such low grade pet garbage. He always either slept on the bed with Damaris, or if she got sick of his snoring the nicest couch in the living room. Although often if he were found asleep on the sofa that impudent man would spray him with a squirt bottle until he got off.

Kliken gave another smile at that, "I wonder..." He said as he looked over at Red, "I wonder what my dragon will be like." Would his dragon want to sleep on the bed with him? Would his dragon snore? Would his dragon be as pretty and nice as Red was? There were a million questions running through his young mind now as he tried to figure it out. Without any information on his dragon passed knowing that one day he would get one he could only guess.
"Umm... do you think... that you and Red will want to meet my dragon?" He asked of Damaris. He was friends with Damaris and Red and hoped that when he got his dragon that they would all four be friends.

"Of course we will." Damaris said with a comforting smile. She honestly doubted Red would want much to do with other dragons, unless they admired him as much as kliken had, however that was highly unlikely.
"So you're really excited about getting your dragon then?" Damaris asked, "I'm sure your dragon will be a good friend. I was excited when I first went to see Red when he was still an Egg, I didn't have any idea how he would end up," She explained, "I really didn't anticipate him being as big of a lug and as full of himself as he is." Damaris said with a laugh, "But, that just makes Red, Red." She told him still smiling.
