Yeata Zi The Iron Magus Quinn Cillian Im pretty sure Gaia won't dissapoint us. They know what would happen. heart I disagree. Gaia doesn't give a damn about disappointing us. At least, no one that has the power to do anything. Do you think its a coincidence that the only plot we've been getting is an elaborate advertisement for cash shop items? Yeah.... I'm inclined to agree fully with TiM. Gaia has a history now of disappointment..... However, I doubt highly (since capital gain is involved) that Gaia will simply let this be. We'll have some semblance of a plot in the cash updates at least. I hate Gaia. <3 Normally, I'd be in full agreement. However, as of late, I've realized something. I'm not mad at Gaia. I can't be, not right now. They're throwing money into making the Battle system, but they have to be able to pay their employees as well. Think about how many servers they have to have for it and how much it would cost to keep it going. Yeah, I still don't support the whole MTV deal. However, the other ads I'm okay with. If they want to push more on the Cashshop, good. It means they're pushing the MTV advertisements less. It's good to see Gaia making money through the site, with items we have all enjoyed at some point, than with sponsors we despise.
Sure, Gaia has been disappointing in a sense, but it's because a lot of work is being put into the Battle System. When that's done, we'll probably start getting our storyline back.

T-demon aka Kuma The Iron Magus Always glad to see G-Corp back in action. But I'm just a big fan of science gone awry. Even if it means the end of the world... as Vince will attest to. It's okay. I'm a fan of all things Gambino and if the labtechs are involved, then Johnny isn't too far behind. He's probably changed his number escape the trauma of the last two G-Corp fiascoes. My question is, when will S-Corp get involved?

Though, I had a thought today. It was a sad thought, but it's possible. We should probably prepare ourselves for the worst. What if the Battle System has a subscription? Not for the full game, but to unlock certain game aspects to it, you have to pay. That thought makes me sad, but it's very possible.

I will not put up with capitalist bull s**t. I've quit sites in the past that require subscriptions to do anything too exciting.

Though I damn well expect some rings will end up being cash shopped. Not particularly happy with that, but I'm just going to have to endure people bitching about that.

Did they ever say the BS in particular would never be pay to play?

No, that was brought up at Megacon, too. The Battle System is free. However, certain items may only be available through the cash shop.

While some of the items may initially only be available through the cash shops, I'm sure they will also be sold by users in the Marketplace. It's not a perfect system, but it's what we have to work with.
