I'm non-denominational and attend a non-denominational church that I really like.
I think being a Quaker would be cool though. Love, peace, and oatmeal! wink

Amen Knuckles! Actually... my old youth pastor said that recently... His reasoning though is that there's so much generalization that people have around "Christians" that if you say you're a Christian, they wont want to listen to you if you are trying to convert them (simply because they will think you are a closed minded conservative prude). So instead he calls himself a "Follower of Jesus" which is much more descriptive than "Christian" anyway...

Christian means "little Christ" though. So, the only thing bad about the term is what non-believers think about it, which is essentially derived from a sinful nature.
But yeah, there are people that call themselves Christians that are not at all, or even have a semblance of it. Mormons look more like Christians than a lot self-proclaimed Christians.

Miriam of the Tower I was baptized Catholic, attend Friend's meetings, study Gnosticism and love the Norvicensian tradition. Miriam isn't... Then again, a good deal of us have said non-denominational. Now if you're non-denominational, logically can you really call yourself protestant? I mean just being non-denominational itself means you're accepting of all denominations, meaning you aren't really "protesting" anything (Catholic or otherwise).
