Ceron grinned brightly, waving his tail in apparent approval of the name. "Splendid! I do love a good stroll on the beach 'neath moonlight!" He yowled cheerfully, glancing to Nereus, "However, dear lady, the beach does not hold this fellow's happiness. So I'm afraid we must move on. You're certainly welcome to join us of course!" The white and amethyst male seemed to be wavering between what he had promised his new friend, and whatever fancy seemed to come up at a moment's notice. His eyes crinkled up happily though and his tail flickered and waved with a boundless energy as he pushed forward, leading the small escapade. Still, his rose-covered eyes held a bit of a mischievous twinkle in them as he gazed up past their new companion towards the dense forest bordering the sea.

Nereus' pupils dilated, taking in more detail so that he could look over the fluidly moving female carefully. She didn't look too menacing, and had introduced herself kindly. Biting his lip uneasily at her strange markings and dark coloring, he dipped his head graciously low, flicking his tail into the air as he replied,
"It's lovely to meet you, Isis."
Suppressing a protest at the idea of having the lady follow them, he followed the silky pelt of his newfound companion, letting his breath carry until he looked up to be met with a dank, frightening forest that dwindled into the sand. Tilting his head curiously, he felt an eccentric magnetism to it, almost as if it were beckoning him to go inside.
Taking a look at Ceron, he cocked his head to the side, silently asking if they were to go in.

Isis stood there not knowing what to do. Following the weird colored strangers could end up badly but an adventure sounded fun. She watched them walk away and she quickly made her decision. She took a deep breath and followed behind.

Ceron looked from one companion to the other a moment before breaking out in a grin and spinning away from them to head towards the treeline. "Come along then, friends!" He called happily, "We mustn't waste glorious moonlight like this!" His purple tail plume bobbed excitedly as he led the way and he tilted his head a bit as blue eyes gazed into the dark amethyst-colored trees, courtesy of his spectacles. Ceron wondered what sort of creatures they would happen upon once traveling through the dense trees.

Isis quietly followed behind Ceron and Nereus. “Wow the moon is so beautiful.” She said with a smile. She was happy to actually do something with other taes but she was still a little worried looking for an emotion wasn’t really on her to do list. “Um where exactly are we going.” Isis asked stopping to look at some flowers

Tangerine eyes found a hesitant-looking female, and Nereus relaxed a bit at the fact that she wasn't too eager to follow them. She was probably a worthy companion, after all, seeing as the probability of her being someone who wanted to hurt them was suddenly falling low...
Oh, why was he so suspicious of people, anyway? Frowning, he turned to see the receding shadow of Ceron already prancing across the rocky enbankment of the half-beach, sending him into a gentle trot to catch up with the bubbly young man. The forest loomed darkly ahead, and he had half the mind to start laughing, the dramaticness of the scene reminiscent of his younger years.
At Isis' comment, Nereus laughed sweetly, turning briefly to smile at the curious female. It was okay, right? Because everyone had things they didn't want to talk about, and just because he didn't know much about this lady didn't mean they couldn't be friends.
"Reminds you of water, doesn't it? The way it's always so bright and white and brilliant?"
At her question, he simply shrugged, gesturing their leader. Any other day, he would have wanted to know, but today, it seemed that it was completely alright to just wing it, to go wherever it felt right to.

Ceron had scarcely made it within the treeline of the forest when his ears swiveled back to the voices of his traveling companions; much further away than they should have been. The male turned around and stared back at them with the impatient expression of a rina, his tail lashing behind him. "Oh, will the two of you quit dallying already?" He called, trying to hurry them along, We've a lot of ground to cover if we're to find this poor chap's happiness by morning! Hurry along now, that's right!" Ceron brightened as Nereus picked up his pace and Isis meandered along after him. Honestly though, it was as if these two tae were out on a leisurely stroll; didn't either of them understand the importance of their quest?

“Yeah .” Isis said surprised that he could figure exactly how she felt and mange to put it into words. Hearing Ceron’s complicates she began to walk faster to try and catch up with him. “I’m also guessing you guys also have no idea what it looks like?’ She said looking around. A bit confused on what they where looking for she just continued to looking around

As the sharp, annoyed voice of his companion fell into the gilded silence, the sound of Nereus' footsteps hitting the rocky embankment filled the gossamer night. He squinted as the familiar shape of Ceron came into view, with his rose-tinted glasses and the warm, approving smile that he was so used to seeing. Laughing at his impatience, Nereus shook his head gently, a rather lopsided smirk painting his countenance.
"If you say so, Cap'n," he teased, flicking his tail behind him in amusement.
At Isis' approaching behind them he felt his eyes soften at her curious face- she had not the idea what they meant by happiness, did she?
"Actually, Isis, happiness doesn't really take much of a shape. I think... we might find it in something out there that gives us happiness, or something that reminds us of happiness- how can I explain this. To be happy, first you have to love something. That's definitely an ingredient..." the gentle voice of the green Tae trailed off as he realized how much he was talking, and, with a sheepish smile, he continued into a small canter toward the treeline.

Ceron tilted an ear back slightly, listening to the gentle murr of Nereus's voice as he tried to explain their mission to the lady Isis, and a small smile painted his muzzle. Leaflitter crunched softly beneath his padded paws as the moonlight dimmed overhead and trees surrounded them. He breathed deeply and sighed at the fresh, crisp scents that wreathed about him. He perked his ears eagerly, listening for any life that could be stirring nearby. A midnight snack wouldn't be entirely unpleasant, nor would it be refused. Turning to glance back at his companions, the purple-coated male myewed eagerly back to Nereus, "I feel simply splendid out here; do you suppose your happiness could be nearby?"

Isis stood a bit and looked at Nereus for a bit. What a steady answer, happiness and love. Thinking about how he managed to explain happiness Isis began to think about what made her happy but trying to keep up a steady pace with her two companions. After a while she just got sucked into the thought of happiness. What do I love? Kept popping back up. After she almost stepped on a hole in the ground she finally began to focus on the situation on hand. “So Nereus what do you love?” Isis asked

Nereus flicked his tail happily as the familiar sillhouette of his male companion grew in his view. A wry smile took over his features as he crept into the familiar forest. Foresty was like a haven to him, and it covered his verdant pelt well- he could have lived his whole life in there, but sometimes he preferred the rush of the open night.
At the sudden question, he studied his surroundings thoroughly. He could just see the sunshine filling the forest where it when it would be light, quite a long ways from now. Though the moonlight covered it well, there was a cryptic sense to it, as if there were darker things beyond, though it was a beautiful scene.
"Nearby, perhaps, but this forest seems rather forlorn..." he let his voice trail off before turning to Iris, who seemed to almost stumble, making him reach out in habit.
At her question, his face lit up with a nostalgic smile, and his eyes twinkled as he answered,
"Living life as free as a bird. Not having anything to hold you down or hold you back, going where you want to. Living itself. And... and..." here he paused a bit, face flushing in the dim lighting. "Maybe a certain lady, too."

Isis looked back towards Nereus. well it seems you ahve half of what you love but, why aren’t you with the one you love?” She asked still looking at the forests beauty. As she continued looking around she spotted a big blue ball of fluff, which soon started to move around. “wow, what’s that?” Isis said quietly heading towards it just a bit.
