Asphiel shook his head, "My eye hurts," he saw all the warriors and then his own guards coming to help. One spoke in angelic and left, "Oh no...there's something wrong with Kai," he gave the fang to one of the guards and ran, "Sorry blue tiger you're too weak for Kai!" he stuck his tongue out as he ran off to the duel. Thais looked at all the man coming through the gate from the tower, where she fed the baby during the day. She saw the blue spot and tears ran down her face, "Byakko." she walked out of the room and to the top of the tower outside, where Asphiel used to hide his vodka before Genie cleaned it out.

Darrien shot at the man, and the man moved agily, knowing how to escape the gun shots with ease, even if it meant rolling in the ground, a smile on his face similar to Kai's, "Wife, Darrien? I'm happy for you," he shot only once, and Darrien's gun left his hand. Darrien was angry, but hearing Kaen again he looked at her, "Does it...tell me you little white demon, which one of us is your husband. I am," he said the last part in a burst and he fell to his knees, and by then the guards started moving closer, but the man with the rifle ordered them to stay away. darrien screamed in pain, holding his head. The man didn't do anything, just looked, his rifle pointing at Darrien, making sure Kai would get up again and hurt someone.

Byakko huffed, and followed Asphiel to at least find out what was going on. His eyes went wide at the scene before him, having seen many battles but never one where an angel had gone insane. He noticed Kaen standing with the gun to her head and started forward. A silver form in the air formed in front of him, forming into Hane. "Byakko! DOn't go near Kai!" she warned, putting her hands on Byakko's chest. "This is something even the strongest demons can't help with."

"You are NOT my husband," Kaen spat, eyes narrowed to vicious red slits. SHe brought the sword up into attack position, preparing to run in and knock him down even if she accidentally hurt him. When he knelt on the ground, she dropped the sword and ran forward, taking the gun out of his hand and staring at his face. Please, Kai, come back to me, she thought to herself as she watched him cradling his head and screaming.

Kai leaned forward to hide his face and gasped for air. He looked up, his eyes with tears, looking at Kaen, "What...happened..." he stretched his hands to her, "Why am I here...?" The man walked closer, keeping his gun up, then in a second pointed it at Elder, which was moving with his sword towards her. "Father, stay away from kai..." Elder pointed the sword at the man, "Hello, Toshigo. Found your brother? You must be happy..." "I'm not happy. You're here...Lady fox demon, get Kai out of here." Asphiel looked at Elder, "I'll kill him." Asphiel moved towards him with his lance ready.

"Darrien took control of you, because of him," Kaen said, turning to glared at Elder, then turned back to Kai. "Are you really with me again?" She took hold of his hands and kissed his palms, then threw her arms around him. "I'll take care of it," she said to Toshigo with a nod, already forming a portal to the demon world. "Come on, love," she said as she stood and helped Kai to his feet as well and walked him through the portal. The portal opened on a second, smaller stone shrine, this one kept in better shape than Yume and Yasuo's home. Kaen helped Kai into a small room just off the main room that was furnished with a simple bedroll and oil lamp. She sat down with him on the bed and looked at him. "Please tell me you're alright." Hane floated over to Elder and stood in front of him, hands on hips. "SO you're the one that's caused all this trouble for Lady Kaen," she growled, an unusual thing for a wind sprite to do, but it carried a crackle of thunder. She looked over at Asphiel. "So now what?"

Elder looked at the sprite and gave a slice right between her. Asphiel moved to stop the blade, pushing Elder back, "Tali's not here to kick your a**, and it's not my job to do it," he sliced his lance a couple of times and opened a gate around Elder, making him appear on the middle of the ocean in the North Pole. Asphiel looked at Toshigo, "You should leave before anyone finds more about you." "Right, say hi to kitsune girl for me. She's cute." he disapepared in light and Asphiel signalled the rest of the guards to keep moving. "Now, the ones hurt go inside the grounds in the house, the rest stay in the grounds until I find somewhere else tokeep you all safe..."

Kai looked at her with a peaceful face, touching her hands softly, "Yes...I'm....Kai..." he touched his face, "I have a headache...the last thing I remember is seeing a Society member in the store. That's it." he kissed Kaen, "I'm sorry."

Hane de-solidified herself when Elder made the strike, and didn't resolidify until Asphiel had banished him. "I can do more surveillance for you until Kai is ready to come back," Hane said to Asphiel as she stepped over to Byakko. "And you have someone you need to talk to, don't you?" She de-solidified again and flew up to the roof area, hovered there a moment, then disappeared. Byakko huffed and started to turn away. "Thais doesn't need to see me," he said outloud, and started walking away.

"Don't be sorry. Elder tried to take control of Darrien and was shown that no matter how hard he tried, he can't control Darrien," she said, returning the kiss. Kaen put her head on Kai's shoulder. "I was scared though, that I wouldn't get you back." She couldn't tell him just yet that Darrien had held a gun to her head twice. "This place is safe. I grew up near this shrine and the priestess who lived here placed a barrier that keeps out any one with an evil heart.

Asphiel watched as all the soldiers moved through the house gate, Genie running through them, describing Asphiel to whoever passed next to her. Pidgeon looked at Byakko, but didn't stop him. Sincerely, all the angels that were close to Thais were still mad at the demon, not really for a reason he would know of, since technically Byakko didn't know how much Thais left behind to help Byakko in whatever. But for Asphiel, he was still his friend, "Blue Tiger!! I got ale inside since I can't drink. Come, we have the Society men still in the battlefield, and dragons above. I say we find people to track them before they get to the HQ here. We'll certainly have an advantage. He took out his comm and messaged Tali again, "He's as good in tracking as no one. The best," he felt as Genie hugged him from behind, so he placed the comm back in his pocket and picked up Genie, "Byakko, you remember Genie, Genie, remember Byakko the blue tiger?" Genie nodded and gave a shy wave at him, "Daddy, Acher is looking for his mommy and daddy..." "I'll be right there...something serious just happened and they had to move out for a while until Kai's head gets resettled. Stupid multiple personality s**t..."

Kai's head moved to the sides as the headache got worst, "Darrien...like...the other me...but it's me and I still can't remember...This is getting out of hand..." he looked around him, his hands growing numb, "I must've done quite some damage if I got send away...I hope I dind't kill not that many..." he tried laughing, the other personaity trying to come out, but Kai himself was too scared of what had happened. He had lost his memory before, but never to a moment that he had completely forgotten where he was and appeared somewhere else, so he cried, "Something's wrong with me..."

Byakko stopped and looked back at Asphiel. "Ale, huh? I guess I could help you take care of that," he said, walking back towards Asphiel. He smirked at Genie and nodded. "I remember the kid. How are you little one?" Byakko asked. "Is Thais....is Thais around here?" He looked up toward the tower, then at Asphiel again.

Kaen put her hands on Kai's cheeks. "You...Darrien killed 2 people and stabbed Elder. I brought you here so Elder couldn't take you," she said quietly. She put her arms around him and put her face against his neck. "Is there something I can do to prevent him from ever coming out again? I know I can get something to make your head feel a little better at least."

Asphiel looked at him as he walked backwards with Genie, a bit irresponsible of him, "Yeah, but there's nothign you can do to make me lead you to her, let alone let you get near," he kept walking, really not caring if he walked a bit fast. In the meantime Kai held Kaen for dear life, crying. He felt horrible, and he really didn't know what to do.

By the afternoon more soldiers appeared in the grounds, demons and angels, all of them getting organized. He sat with some of the higher ranking warriors, drinking ale and talking. He worked with his comm to see what was going on. He just received a mesage from the violet haired man giving them a flight patter from the dragons, and got a message that Ukiel was getting wordt by the day, and if it continued he would be dead in a week. Asphiel dropped his comm on the table and looked at his glass, wanting to cut himself bad to get the stress out, "And then there's Kai..." he put a finger in his mouth and bit as hard as he could. Having angel fangs was useful, and blood come out. He was thinking hard on what to do. "And Tali and Akeno...we needed them more than ever..."

Kai was numb after a while, his head numb, and he only held Kaen's hand, "They...might need us back home...let's go home..." he started to remove the weapons he had on, thinking now that it wasn't a good idea to have them, just in case Darrien took over again, "I did see some men walking with papers into a store in Arabia, I should keep looking at the place later, but this time with someone with me..." he played with a knife.

"DOn't worry, I wasn't interested in seeing her," Byakko said coldly. He followed Asphiel inside. Byakko slipped at the ale, barely feeling any buzz from it. "So trying to figure out the poison from the fang didn't work? And I'm guessing Kaen didn't go to that tribe," he growled, finishing off his drink. He set the glass down and cracked his knuckles. "I could go...talk to them about it."

"I agree. Acher's probably going nuts trying to figure out where we went," Kaen said, standing and dusting off her pants. "I actually sent Hane to keep an eye on you, and she was the one that sent the warning about what happened. But maybe having someone more...solid to go with you would be better. We could leave the weapons here if you want." Kaen started creating a portal to Asphiel's place.

"They have the fang, they just haven't found a good antidote yet, but from what Link told me they found one potion that seemed to slow it down a bit, but they're afraid Uki might start building an immunity to it," he looked at Acher and the other orphans runnin around the soldiers, playing with the youngest child's new green ball. "You could...but Trina is determined to go herself, but we really can't wait for Trina if he only has a week, or less. I wish I could go see him. He says he looks terrible, and he's in pain. You know," he leaned back, "I wonder if demons are affected by it as well? And maybe we can use that poison for our advantage. It won't be vengeance, just..." he looked back, seeing Thais walk down the hall with a baby bottle, "Byakko...Byakko...." she called, obviusly calling Asphiel. he got up and walked to Thais, "Don't you dare get close to him. He just wants the baby's bottle," he led Thais to the kitchen, making his comm float behind him.

Kai nodded and left the weapons, taking kaen's hand before going through the portal. Once passing through he bumped into someone. Kai went straight to his side but he had left his weapons back there. Toshigo was pointing a gun to Kai's head, having the same scared look as Kai did some hours ago. Then he saw kaen and he lowered his gun, "Sorry, strangers. Thought you were Elder again," he took out a map from light and gave it to Kaen, "This is for Pidgeon. It's the route the dragons took when leaving the battlefield," he smiled and placed his gun away, "Later." he leaned back into a light gate. Kai looked rather annoyed at the man, "How dare he talk to my Kaen," he said in a childish tone.

"Whatever, I need to go outside for a bit and get some air," Byakko said, getting up and walking out the front door. He didn't go far, but sat on the porch steps, watching the guards go back and forth. "Like I'd really want to see that crying angel." He growled and stretched his legs out in front of him and laid down on the stairs.

Kaen took the map, but was watching Kai. When the man left, she finally spoke. "Who is that man anyways?" she asked, tucking the map into her pocket. "Asphiel seemed to know him and he seems a bit familiar to me too...and he knows Pidgeon's nickname." She shrugged, and ran a hand over her hair. "That's gonna be bugging me..." She closed the portal behind them and took Kai's hand. "Come on, our son's been missing us."

Asphiel finished with Thais and walked outside, ignoring Byakko and headed to the couple heading his way. Kai waved at him and let go of Kaen, "I really don't know who that guy is, and right now I don't care. I just want to see my son...." he walked to the other part of the house where the kids stayed, "Acher!!" "Daddy!!" Acher screamed, running towards his father. kai picked him up and hugged him, then pickign up higher like a plane, "I hope you didn't miss us too much!!"

Asphiel moved towards Kaen and waved, "Got a dragon tooth for you...what you gonna do about the venom thing because I have that Blue a*****e wanting to help out. Sorry, he tried talking to Thais and I got pissed off," he looked at the map, "What's that?" Thais sat down in a corner of the living room to feed the baby, singing a demon lullaby again.

"Fair enough," Kaen said with a shrug, noticing Byakko on the porch. She opened her mouth to say something to him when Asphiel walked up to her. "I can try to get in touch with them quickly. i contacted Trina earlier, but I don't know if she got my message ((aka i forgot to message her))." She crossed her arms over her chest, causing the map to crinkle. "This? I was given it to give to you by....well, I don't know his name. He's the purple-haired angel, the one that had a sniper rifle." She pulled out the map and handed it to Asphiel. "Now then, I want to go see my son." She nodded to Byakko on her way into the house, and followed the sound of giggling to where Kai and Acher were.

"Now then, I want to go see my son." She nodded to Byakko on her way into the house, and followed the sound of giggling to where Kai and Acher were.

Asphiel looked seriously at her, "You of all people shouldn't know that man's name. And try erasing him from your head," he waved at her and walked back to Byakko, opening the map in front of him, "This is the route. I want you to go to dragon town to house 32 and get Tali here. I want to know if this hq is real and we can stop them from attacking this close to home," he rolled the map back up and walked inside to place the map on a table to study it a bit further. "In the mountains, quite common for the society..."

Kai had sat down and was telling Acher a false story about him riding camels in Arabia. When he saw Kaen, Kai smiled, "Hello, Kaen, I was telling Acher about the camels..."

"The camels? Oh right," Kaen said walking over to Kai and Acher. She sat down next to Kai. "Camels are perhaps the strangest things I've ever seen....besides demon camels of course. I'm sorry for skipping out on our game, sweetie." SHe reached over and ruffled Acher's hair. "We can play a game a little later if you want."

"I'll get the game!" Acher said running to the living room where the games were. Kai waved goodbye and looked at Kaen, "So, what now? Maybe I should go to the hospital to get my head checked or something. I don't want something like this happen again." he then saw Asphiel walk inside and grab Kaen lifting her up, "Kaen you brother kidnapped Tali and we really need him and Hane to check something for me...he's probably eaten half of Tali by now." Kai gave a strange grin, "Or Tali eaten him whichever works fine for them." "Kai, this isn't funny. I need all the help I can get until the Light Realm gets enough soldiers." "I know it's not funny but right now Tali is in a very sensitive condition, even though he's probably having a good time with my brother-in-law..." he tilted his head, "But you know if he gets too stressed he might relapse and die. Now let go of Kaen. I'm no mood to play tug-o-Kaen." they both started pulling, Asphiel grabbing her under her arms and Kai her legs. "Let go Pidgeon!" "No, you let go. She's helping me out!"

Tali gave an evil grin at Akeno, "Nope. I will do it again, but you won't know when. It'll be a surprise, and you won't know what hit you..." after trying her best at an glare she smiled and jumped on Akeno to get her comm, "You won't know what hit you..." she said in a ghostly tone. She turned the comm on and looked at the messages, her eyes opening wider with every message, "Akeno...a battle occured in Byakko's territory...and other things..." she showed the comm to Akeno.

Kaen looked sad and put her hand on Kai's hand. "We can go get you checked out later if you want," she said as Asphiel walked in. She yelped when he picked her up. "What the hell is your problem?" she asked, squirming around to try to get him to drop her. "Nii-san didn't kidnap Tali; Ukiel told him to take Tali to Dragon town so they could get some rest. And you should give the whole Akeno-eats-angels thing a rest. He's my brother and you don't see me doing the same thing, thought if you don't put me down, I may start!!" When tug-a-Kaen started, she winced as the pulling caused her stomach to start hurting. "BOTH OF YOU STOP!!!!!" she yelled, flailing her arms and legs to make them let go. She gave a groan of pain that turned into a very pissed off growl and tried biting Asphiel's hands.

Byakko had just got up to go back inside when he heard the scream. "Hey! Put her down!" he yelled, charging at the man holding Thais. He didn't see Thais, or at least didn't recognize her, as he grabbed the man by the throat. "Release her," he growled, tightening his grip enough to show that he meant business.

Kai and Asphiel both stopped, both looking at her worried of what they did. "Look what you did, you big drunk!" "I did, you were the one who grabbed her legs! Er, you know, forget it," he noticed that kai was getting madder by the second, so it was better to just stop. He moved back, "Come on, kaen, it's fun. I get to make silly little comic where Akeno is completely evil..." Kai hissed at the angel and then moved Kaen to sit down, "You okay?" he rubbed Kaen's stomach, "You want to lay down?" he jumped when he heard sounds outside. Asphiel moved to the window, seeing many guards with their weapons raised, "What the hell?!" he ran out, "No fighting in my land!" he saw the man being held by Byakko, and Thais, still squirming, now a gun pointed at her head, "Thais!!" "We got a spy, Pidge," the Angel General screamed at Asphiel, "Shoul we take him in like the others?" "You touch that man and I'll kill you." "Thais sin't important, he's a broken angel." "Say that again and I'll remove your face." The spy was ready to pull the trigger, "Just let me leave and I'll let go of the thing." Thais didn't like it when the spy talked, like if she could remember something.

Kaen curled up when she was set down. "I should be okay. THe muscle hasn't completely healed I think," she said with a weak smile, then perked up when she heard the commotion outside. She got up carefully and went to the window, and watched from there, leaning heavily on the window sill. Byakko growled at the man, but spoke to Asphiel. "He started it by attacking...," he started, then turned to see the man's captive, his eyes going wide when he noticed that it was Thais. He turned attention back to the man and tightened his grip further. "If Thais is a spy, let the master of this house deal with it instead of taking matters into your own hands," he growled.

"Thais isn't a spy. The poor thing can't even remember her own name. Look," he made a sword appear and pointed it at the man's face, "In my opinion you're the spy," he pulled Thais away and made him look, "Thais, what's your name? What's your name?" Thais looked scared and fell to his knees making sure the baby was safe by using himself as a shield. Asphiel held the man's clothes and lifted him up with one hand, "You touch him again I'll break your arms. General, take this man to the prison Uki made." the General looked anoyed but did as was told. "For the rest of you, I suggest you treat your hosts with respect or I'll personally throw you out." the soldiers were back to their spots and Asphiel leaned next to Thais, petting him in the head, "It's okay, Thais. Let's go inside. I'll make you some food." Thais kept crying, screaming 'Byakko', like he always did.

Byakko removed his hand and shrugged, turning away from Thais, wincing every time the angel said his name. "Why's he screaming? He should know by now I don't want him near me," he growled, stalking off around the side of the house, if nothign else to get away from all the people. If the angels didn't want him near Thais, why'd Asphiel ask him to stick around? He wondered this as he found a nicely shaded spot in the back yard and laid down. Inside, Kaen watched everything happen and shook her head as she went back to sit down as Acher ran in with Monopoly. "Do you still wanna play this one, mom?" Acher asked as he set the game up, making Kaen smile. "It seems like a fun game, so sure."

Kai looked at all the pieces and things, taking the man on the horse in his hand, looking at it, “This one is mine,” he placed it back down and got up, smelling his clothes, “I have to shower. I’ll be back soon,” he walked away from his family. He didn’t remember the killing, but he got the scent of blood on him. When heading to his room he heard the comm. and seeing his brother-in-law, he moved back to the room, thinking that his wife might want to talk to him. Once back in the room he gestured to Kaen that he had a phone call. He answered, “Hey, Akeno. You two doing okay?”

“Byakko…” Thais said one last time, now being picked up by Asphiel. He kept the baby close to him, making sure it wouldn’t fall. Asphiel moved close to where Byakko was and said in a very calm voice, knowing Byakko could hear him from there, “Thais only remembers the last things before they broke him completely. Oh, and, Link will send someone to check your territory to see if you can set camp back there. I’ll prepare a group to help you. Promise me you’ll be safe and ready for those bastards, blue tiger,” he moved back to the house, placing Thais down on the couch and moved to see what he could cook. Thais watched the soldiers move around, not liking being with all of them. He started playing with the baby, making the baby laugh.

"Alright, love," Kaen said, setting out the money while Acher sorted the different cards. "I'm gonna be....this one!" Acher said, picking up the dog piece with a huge grin. "The puppy, huh? Then I'll be the top hat," Kaen said, taking both pieces and setting them on Go. She looked up when Kai came back in and walked over to him. "Nii-san? How's Tali?" she asked, looking into the comm.

Byakko opened his eyes and waved a hand. "Yes, sure. I can sit here until that gets taken care of," he said, ignoring the part about Thais' memory. "I can see if Kaen and Akeno will let me borrow some of their men for a bit. They've had more practice fighting since they're from a heavy war zone." Byakko closed his eyes and resettled himself against the tree trunk as Asphiel walked away with Thais.

I find Asphiel a bit saddening since his love is never returned. He's still in love with sapphy, thus why this comic.

I think the peach thing is definitely genetic as well. It's between liking peaches or having someone close that likes peaches.

I cropped the chibi drawing of asphiel, cleaned the lines, and put it as my computer background. yay.

"Well...er...I don't remember," he said with a childish smile, "I was sort of in a pickle with myself...again...well, we did see that Byakko and most of his men got out okay, and Asphiel will stretch his safe zone by a couple of miles to make sure all of them are safe here with space to put tents and stuff for them, well, I think. Asphiel is pretty smart," he looked at Kaen, giving her the comm, "I smell like dead things..." he walked away to the bathroom, "I'm sorry, Acher. Is that we're a bit busy." he locked himself in the bathroom, and to very sensitive ears, there were three people in that bathroom, all of them Kai, talking, fighting, crying.

Asphiel watched out the window as priest angels walked to his land, the land he was slowly stretching as a safe zone, making his chest feel like he had a block of concrete on him, but it was for the best. He kept making soup as the General pulled his hair back, sitting down to look at Asphiel, which didn't look at him, "True Angel Asphiel, we need to make some decisions about who we want next to us." "We sure do." "It's between the strength of that demon's army or that broken trash we've been taking care of." "Okay, new rule. You call Angel Thais a piece of trash again, you'll wake up bald and tied to a tree in enemy territory." "You know we need to decide. The demon doesn't want to see Thais." "Angel Thais." "Whatever. What do you choose?" Asphiel sighed, "Angel Lileen, may in peace rest her soul with our Heavenly Creator, used to help in a Temple here in Durem. I want you to pack Angel Thai's things and take him there. Understood?" "Yes, sir." the General bowed and walked out to the house to pack the things as fast as possible. Asphiel stopped an angel, "My friend, set men to keep a distance between the priests and the demons. Also, put three men on Angel Thais until he's taken away. If Byakko asks for him or her...tell him that she or he died." the angel bowed and walked away, "Being in charge is difficult work...this needs more vegetables," he walked to the fridge.

Kaen took the comm, watching Kai walk away. "I'll explain it to you later, Nii-san," she said before Akeno could ask for an explanation. "Keep in touch, okay? I'll make sure the we keep you and Tali in the loop too, and hope to see you soon." She smiled and snapped the comm shut, placing it on the table. "Acher, go see if Genie wants to play with us. I need to check on your father," she said, ruffling Acher's hair on the way to the bathroom. She knocked quietly on the door. "Kai love, are you alright? Do you need me to get you anything?"

In a second of hearing Kaen's voice Kai shut up. He was lying on the tub, supposedly taking his shower. He looked at nothigness for a while, like if he wasn't even there, then he started blinking fast and looked at the door, "I'm...okay...Give me a sec," he finished his bath by pretty much scrubbing down. He put a towel on and opened the door. It was obvious Kai was hitting his forehead, now red, but he didn't remember it, and didn't feel it, and smiled, "Hello, my Kaen I'm done now, no worries. I'll go get dressed and we can play," he came close to kiss her and stayed in front of her, not moving, "Why didn't you stay with Acher. He wants to play."

"I wanted to make sure you were okay," she said, putting her hand on his arm, feeling the slight dampness of his skin. "I had Acher go see if Genie wants to play with us." She reached up a hand to touch Kai's forehead. "Love, what were you doing?" She got on her toes and kissed his forehead, then looked over his choice of...clothing. "Yes, I think you should get some clothes on, even though I don't mind seeing you in just a towel." She smiled mischievously, then turned and went back to the room where Acher and Genie were arguing over who got to play the cannon and who got to play the dog.

Kai nodded, "I was taking a shower. I'll put some clothes on and we can play witht he kids," he walked to the room and looked for loose clothes, extremely glad he had stayed in Asphiel's a couple of times and he had a clothes stah there. He put some running pants and a shirt and took Kaen's hand. He was still a bit quiet, but everytime he looked at Kaen he smiled, " I love you, Kaen," he saw that Genie had tackled Acher and was trying to take the piece, "Ah! No! Bad Genie!" he picked her up and took the piece, "If you two aren't going to act nicely, no one will ahve the piece."

In the meantime the priests had build the tents for the demons and left, btu new angels started coming through while the old guards left the area. This new warrior looked a bit rougher than the earlier ones, and friendlier since the second they stepped into the Realm they started waving at the demons, and pretty much admiring them. All of them talked in angelic but they tried their best to communicate with the demons, since guards stood between them for a while. Once they were let to talk the angels didn't waste time in trying their best to talk to the demons, and some making groups for tomorrow to play wingball. Asphiel watched the group from the house and smiled, "Ukiel's men. The best of the best," he then looked at Thais, which was eating quietly, the baby in the crib next to her, "Byakko wants some?" "No." "Byakko..." the General brought the bags down and waited for instructions.

"Mom!! You said I could be the puppy! Genie said she should be it since she's more kitsune than I am!!" Acher complained loudly to his mother. "Hush Acher. Genie, that wasn't a nice thing to say. How about this; one of you play the cannon, one of you play the top hat. I'll play the puppy since I'm more kitsune than either of you," Kaen said, switching around the game pieces. "Now then, let's get the game going, okay? Any more fights and there will be no board games for a week." Acher's jaw dropped at this proclamation, but sat down and rolled to see who would go first.

Byakko heard the commotion out front and walked around. Seeing all the angels and demons talking, he shook his head and joined in the conversation. He didn't know angelic, but he was able to find a demon who knew both languages. THrough the translator, he was able to get the angels to properly explain to the demons exactly what wingball was. Most of the demons were interested in the game, the others weren't too enthusiastic.

Genie sat down and got up almost immediately, then sitting back down to play, "I wanna be the doggie because...becasue I wanna be the doggie." "Not another word," Kai said as he threw the dice. Genie pouted and just played with her money. For some reason, Kai always fell in prison, and Kai ended up lying on the floor, "I give up." Genie jumped on Kai, "Give me the doggie!!" "I don't have it!"

The angels kept talking, some already walking though secured gates to get giant pigs to their side and startign a big bonfire to cook them in. One was cooking already and the angels started getting closer to the food, some dancing, toher splaying with the demons, very intrigued because of the different ears and tails. Most liked the lizard ones, knowing they were very different, poking their tails. With all the commotion the General walked out with Thais. Asphiel hugged Thais before the General moved to a safe gate. He moved the luggage in and pushed Thais and her baby through the gate, of course, she talking in Byakko language. They closed the gate.

"Genie!" Kaen snapped, rattling the dice in her hand. She sighed heavily and started packing up the game. "I said the game would end if there was another fight, and you started another one, Genie," she explained as she took everyone's money and sorted it out, Acher started collecting the cards. "Way to go," Acher muttered, earning a look from Kaen. "Acher, it's necessary to show that fighting amongst friends is not a good idea. So, for a week, we won't have any board games. Other games are possible, but not board games." Kaen folded up the game board and put it in the box. "You didn't even let us know who was winning," ACher mumbled as he stalked off to his room, arms crossed and looking very Kai-like.

Genie ran out, "I'm telling dad! Daddy!!" Kai sat back up, pouting, arms crossed like his son, "I think she hasn't had her medicine just yet," he helped Kaen out and whispered, "I was winnig, right?" he took the box and placed it on a table, "Now, what do we do?" Asphiel walked in with Genie at hand, "Se hasn;t had her medicine...and you guys, Kaen, call Hane so she can confirm what our little spy saw," he gave Kaen the map she once had at hand, "Kai, I want you to go to the Alliance and get yourself checked. And both of you, get the wonder couple here. The doc wants to check on Tali, and I need him to check the map too..."

"Honestly, I have no idea who was winning," Kaen said with a shrug as she moved to sit next to Kai. "You certainly ended up in jail a lot though..." She grinned at Kai, kissing him on the cheek as Asphiel walked in. "Alright, I'll do what I can to get Hane and those two here." Kaen reluctantly stood up and took the map. "I should go make sure Acher's not throwing a tantrum up in his room first though. Back in a few." She turned and headed off to her son's room.

Kai sat there quietly looking at the two; Asphiel looked back, "How are you feeling?" "I really don't know...anything I can be useful?" "I think the best thing you can do is get yourself checked out. You might be more trouble in this condition." "What condition?" "You'll see." Kai looked irritated and got up, "If I'm a nuissance I should just stop fighitng then." "You are putting words in my mouth. I didn't say you were useless. Look, relax, go get some prok they're cooking outside, and have fun, but tomorrow, while we fight, you go and check yourself. My orders." "Uki is the onlyperson I'll take orders from." "Uki is dying." Kai was about to punch him but he walked to his son's room with Kaen, "Kaen, I want to go home. Let's forget about the fighting." Asphiel sighed and walked out, feeling terrible for giving those kind of orders. He went to the kitchen to give Genie her pills and stared outside, "Creator, protect my friends."

When Kai walked in, Kaen was sitting on the floor, one of Acher's feet in hand. The boy had hidden under the bed and was refusing to come out, arms wrapped around the bed's legs. "I would...agree with you," Kaen said between tugs, "but....I'm not sure....how much safer....home is...oh this is ridiculous!!" Kaen let go of Acher's legs, which he immediately curled up under him, and the kitsune dove under the bed, tickling her son. Acher laughed and squealed as he tried getting away, sliding out and crawling to Kai. "Daddy!! Save me!!" he said, trying to climb Kai to get away. Kaen crawled part way out, the lower half of her body still under the bed, and propped her head on her hands. "What did Asphiel say when I left?" she asked, panting lightly.

"And I thought Tyler was a child," Kai whispered as he took Acher up in his arms, "Acher, you are growing up, so stop acting like a baby," and with a a nod the bed started moving up with a rattling sound to halp Kaen out, "He's pushing me to go to the doctor, and was telling me that I have to respond to his orders since 'Uki is in his deathbed'. I guess he means well, but I really don't want to go to the doctor, let alone leave you guys to fight." he sat down on a chair and pet Acher's head, getting the dust bunnies off his head, "Kaen, you're next. I bet the tails are the same...yes, they are..."

Kaen got out from under the bed and dusted off her clothes. "Asphiel does mean well, he just lacks the skill on how to tell people things," she said, wiping off her head. "I don't argue with you going to the doctor, just to make sure everything is alright." She crossed to Kai and kissed him, Acher politely looking away. "Yeah, our tails act like feather dusters. We need a brush to get them off," she said to Kai, her tail curled around her leg to look at it. SHe held out her hand to Acher. "Come on, the brush is in my room. I'll help you brush your tail, then you go take a shower," she said to Acher, then turned to Kai. "You can help me brush my tail, then we'll go to the doctor's."

It was a bad idea to summon Darrien. It triggered something in Kai's head. He didn't talk as Kaen and Acher walked out. Many voices were talking in his head, saying things, and Kai just listened. "I'm not crazy..." he waited to hear the door from the room and got his coat and ran out of the house and once outside he walked through a light gate. No one saw him, everyone busy with their own things.

Kaen sat Acher down on the bed and pulled a soft bristle brush from her dresser and sat next to Acher, flipping her tail onto her lap. "Sit like this," she said and Acher pulled his tail onto his lap, holding it still. The grey fur on ACher's tail was a bit greyer from the dust collected on the fur. "This is the only time you want to brush against the fur," she explained as she lightly brushed against the fur, making the fur stand on end on her tail. "This way, you can get it off easier." She brushed Acher's tail to show him how it feels. It took about an hour, between brushing her own tail and ears and Acher's, and then showing him how to rinse off the tail to get the now-staticed fur to lie down properly.

The sound of violins were heard outside as the angels finished moving in. They ate happily, inviting some of the demons to join them. Angels liked company, especially cheery company. They were celebrating now since they were ordered to move out at night when the demons slept. Asphiel didn't join in the party outside. He had made homemade pizza for his children and was taking care of them while watching some movie about a yellow sponge. He was getting calls about orders so much he decided to only accept folders and messages. He saw an extra pizza, "That's the Kitabe pizza..." he pushed Anthony away from the tv a bit and then moved to the rooms, knocking on kaen's door, "MY sweet, kaen, aren't you guys going to eat before working? I made pizza."

"We'll be there in a minute. I'm showing Acher how to get dust out of his tail," Kaen called, then towel dried Acher's tail, careful not to pull it. "And that's it. It takes a while, but it's a simple process. I try to do this at least once a week to get dirt, feathers or whatever else my tail can attract before it gets too tangled." She set the towel down and smiled at Acher. "It feels....lighter," Acher said, swishing his tail. "Because you had a lot of fur to get rid of before summer gets here," Kaen explained as she opened the door and led Acher downstairs.

Asphiel walked with the two and had to fight with Anthony again for standing so close to the tv. He then placed the pizza on a dish and gave it to the two, “Hope you like. Made it with lots of love. If you don’t like, the others are making food outside…” he cleaned the mouth of the smallest child, a small boy, and placed him down so h could watch tv as well. He sat down and took a bite from his pizza while he looked at the information at his comm. There he saw a picture of Toshigo that Su used as his user photo because Toshigo was wearing Su’s Eskimo hat and was acting like a Russian man, a good time when they went to Russia. “Oh, where’s Kai? I thought he was with you.”

"I think we should be good," Kaen said as Acher ran to sit near Anthony, the TV showing one of his favorite movies. Kaen passed a plate and napkin to Acher, then bit into her own pizza. "This is good," she said, catching the extra cheese as it pulled off the pizza. "Kai? Last I saw him, he was in the bedroom...I thought he was gonna come down here." She got up and ran up to the room, calling for him. When she didn't find him, she ran back down the stairs, eyes blazing. "He's not up there. The last thing he told me was that he was going to the hospital because you told him to."

Asphiel’s eyes went wide, “Okay, no panic. I’ll do a scan of the area and then we’ll panic, alright? Eat something,” he sat down and closed his eyes. Having the ability to see souls all over was very useful. After some minutes he opened his eyes, “He’s not in camp. No panic, I’ll do a bigger scan, alright?” he closed his eyes again, but then he couldn’t hear anything in the house, Genie using the opportunity to put flowers in his hair. Half an hour later he took his comm. out and after some clicks he made a map appear, “He’s in the town you live in….but somewhere else…I’m not sure since I can only sense two familiar energies. Your house and Kai…He’s not close to the house, but in the town,” he got up and looked at Kaen, “You want to go or should I find someone?”

Kaen crossed her arms over her lap and tapped her shoe impatiently as she waited for Asphiel to scan for Kai. "He's back home? What would he be doing there?" she wondered, then shook her head. "I should go. People in the town know me, so they wouldn't find it strange for me to be looking for Kai somewhere around town. We don't have a home phone and I usually misplace my comm somewhere, so I have to look for him the old fashion way," she said, going to the door to get her shoes. "Mom, can I come too?" Acher asked, looking away from the TV. "Nah, you should stay here. You have a tendency to get as lost as your dad on occassion, so finish your pizza and watch the movie," Kaen said, smiling at her son, who stuck out his tongue and went back to the movie.

Asphiel nodded but send a message to someone. "Alright, everybody get pizza and watch the show. This angel has to fix some war stuff before I get to see my favorite part of that movie," he walked out to talk to the General, a bit pissed off that he was the only General Link had provided.

Kai wasn't in the town, but inside of the base of the Alliance in the town. The Alliance had a park where people could visit and see the ship or gun shows. There was a fountain there, now Kai laid next to him, his mind in a blank. Minutes before people saw him talking to himself, in different tones. Now he laid there, and those parts of the Alliance were closed, so Kai was jailed there. He had gone to the house to find Elder, then it started, all the different voices talkign at once, trying to choose what they wanted, and that's the reason Kai ended up in the fountain, now his mind quiet.

Kaen ran through town, having set a portal just past the house, not sure if the house was safe. Kai's scent was very faint there, so she knew he couldn't be hiding there. She asked various shop owners in the market if they had seen Kai, none of them had. Finally, her former boss said that she had seen Kai heading to the Alliance base; Kaen thanked her and was now running to the base. Please be alright, she silently prayed as she neared the base. She clung to the fence and looked around, finally catching his scent near the closed gate. "Damn it...." she growled, then smiled; along the fence grew several bushes. Glancing to make sure no one saw her, she climbed into the bushes and made the metal fence create a big enough hole for her to wiggle through. Once through, Kaen walked through the compound casually, keeping an eye out for Kai. She paused when she noticed a blond-haired man lying on the fountain. "Kai?" she asked herself, then nodded. "It has to be him." She walked towards him, calling his name softly.

Kai didn't respond, but he did 'hear' her. His eyes were blinking a bit fast as he started recognizing the voice. Yeah, he knew perfectly well who it was. A evil grin came to his face as Kai took an Alliance gun from his side, "Look what I got, kitsune...." he pointed it at Kaen, "I have decided to stay here until my Father come looking for me...and don't bother calling for help, or Kai, who's going to believe that Kai might want to hurt his wife, let alone go to his dad's," he chuckled, "Turn around and go back to your son, that little freak..."

"What do you want, Darrien?" Kaen asked, her eyes starting to shift to red, her eyes holding almost a tea colored combination of red and gold at the moment. She kept her eyes on him, seeming to ignore the gun pointed at her. "Why do you want to go with Elder? To finish killing him? By all means, go ahead, but don't you dare call my son a freak." Her eyes were fully red by now. She could hear Alliance humans and other beings nearby, looking at the couple who, to their knowledge, never had any disagreements that involved pointing weapons at each other. "What makes you think that Elder would come here anyways? He knows better than to show up at an Alliance base."

Tali kissed him back, keeping his hands back to the gate, "I have a feeling the doc will be there, so I'll ask for an excuse, but I'll help with the maps just this time," he hugged the kitsune before moving to the leather bag, taking it and moving back to the gate, "Follow me, then," he took a step back to the gate and then to the side. He was rather in shock at all the soldier's in Asphiel's land. He waited for Akeno, closing his eyes, trying to relax. People were there injured and some were getting ready for battle, and a strange ray of energy was moving around. "Thais isn't here...something is running around the land because of the people," he looked at the angel side and saw they weren't being friendly anymore, and were more preparing for battle, "Why aren't the demons getting ready?"

"Silly girl, I needed weapons," he looked at the building, then back at her, "And of course, my father won't come here he's not retarded. I needed to eliminate his enemies, including you, Poppins," he got up, and showed Kaen his new sword, a long sword. By then three guards came to the fountain area, weapons pointed at him, but Kai made light slice them in half, "Kaen, look what you did..." he then shot three times at Kaen before taking his sword out and tried slicing her in hlaf, moving fast, not giving her time to strike back. Inside some soldiers came out of a conference. There was the violet haired man in full Alliance Uniform. Hearing the shots all the men, including the General, ran to the area, but only Toshigo took out his sniper gun from his bag. He pointed it at Kai and tried talkinginside of Kaen's head, "Get ready. I'll try distracting him."

Nodding, Akeno followed Tali through the gate. "I'm sure you'll come up with something," he said as he stepped out of the gate and looked around. Akeno put a hand on Tali's shoulder and squeezed lightly. "Calm down. You're alright." He took a step forward, looking towards the angels getting ready and the demons lounging around. "It's probably cause they have no one leading them right now," he said to Tali, then glared at one of the demons, who immediately snapped to attention and kicked the demon next to him, pointing to Akeno. Within seconds, the demons were in a flurry of activity, gearing up quickly much to the shock of the angels. "All they needed was a signal," Akeno said, looking back at Tali with a smirk.

Kaen was ready for Darrien's attack. Even as the shots rang out, she quickly formed a shield with her chains and held it in front of her, the bullets making the shield jump at impact. She didn't see the sword strike, but felt it hit the shield, the force of it knocking her to the ground. She yelped in surprise and curled up under the shield, jolting in surprise when she heard Toshigo's voice in her head. She looked back at the purple-haired man and nodded, but didn't move just yet. Kaen separated the shield from the rest of her chain and began forming a dagger point to the end of the chain.

Tali grinned, waving at the soldiers. Asphiel came out, fixing his coat. He saw that the demons were getting ready and tilted his head, his wings puffing up. Tali laughed as he pointed at him, "Hey, Pidgeon." "Finally. I need you in the mountains. They told me the dragons are moving and it might lead to a hq... Why are the demons gearing up?" "Why they shouldn't?" "Not that, but the angels are goign to take over Byakko's territory. The Society is taking over his land so we're taking it back," Asphiel grabbehouse, of course, taking Akeno's hand as well, "Elder came here and attacked Kai. Kai finally cracked and ran off. kaen's looking for him now....and....the before you go help me with the maps I was ordered to let the doc give you a checkup. My men are keeping an eye on the dragons. What else...of, Uki got poisoned and will probably die in a week, so I'm in charge until they find a cure." he nodded and pushed Tali into a room, "I'll call the doc! Akeno, you lead those men, Byakko had a fit and ran to a corner of the territory..."

"Yes yes, shoot him down," the General told Toshigo. The man took off his hat t help him shoot, "I'm not going to kill him. That man there is my brother..." Toshigo shot Kai near his leg, breaking a bit of his pants. Kai looked away from Kaen and moved his hands. Toshigo's eeys widened, "Everyone move!!" all of them ran away in time since Kai made the are explode. By that time Kai's hand started shaking, anger building, "I'll kill you all!"

"Wait a minute. Kai's cracked? And Kaen's looking for him?" Akeno said, following Asphiel and Tali. "And you let her go alone? You do realize that she won't do anything to hurt Kai even if he's about to kill her, right?" He glared heavily at Asphiel. One of the demons ran up to Akeno and asked him something in demonic, to which Akeno nodded. "Yes, we're going after the fuzzball, but only after I get this sorted out," he said, waving the demon away from him, then returning his attention to Asphiel.

When Kai got distracted, Kaen rolled up and slammed him in the back with her shield, making the shield break into chains again and wrap around Kai's body. She sank more chains into the ground and had them sprout from the ground and catch the other chains, yanking Kai to the ground. "Don't. You. Dare," she growled, face twisted in rage as she formed a dagger that she held to Kai's neck. A small part of her mind screamed at her, reminding her that that was her husband under her blade, but the rest of her not caring as long as the thing currently in control of her husband's body was destroyed.

Asphiel watched as the doctor walked in with a bag and box. He then looked at Akeno, leaning to the wall, "I didn't think it would be that bad...Kaen is strong enough to stop him. Kai has multiple personality disorder, so he might just snap back to himself. What, you think I should go and help?" he tilted his head, and got off the wall when he heard Tali trying to gnaw the doctor's hand. "Okay, I'll send someone. A General is taking care of Uki's soldiers. I don't know what you might want to do with your men. Don't glare at me. Kai won't try killing Kaen. I would like to think that even in his killing mode he still remembers Kaen."

"I'll kill you and your freak," Kai said in a mutter as he tried using energy to get himself lose, "I won't go back to the back of Kai's head. I'm going to do what I was trained to do," he laughed, "If you try killing me I'm sure you'll be sorry." Toshigo helped his superior up and ran out with his handgun. He ran out and pointed his gun at Kaen, "Sexy kitsune, don't kill him. That man is one of his personalities. It's not your husband's fault!" his left hand left his gun and to his pocket. He threw at Kaen a small packet, "Think he's a dog and give him one of those. If you try killing him I'll be forced to hurt you," he watched Kai, he kept squirming to get off the chains.

Akeno glared a second more, then dropped his gaze. "I guess you're right, I'm just still being an over-protective brother," he said, sitting down on one of the chairs. "Tali, don't eat the doctor. Let at least take a look, and then we can get out of here." Akeno looked back at Asphiel and tilting the chain back against the wall. "I'd feel better if you did send someone. I can have my men either go with the angels to Byakko's or have them stay here to guard the place." He let the chair drop back onto the floor, stretching his legs out in front of him. "Is there anyway to prevent the multiple personalities from surfacing?"

Kaen looked up at Toshigo with a glare, tears starting to stream from her eyes. The dagger disappeared, reforming into a regular chain and returning to her bracelet. "I just want him gone," she said, her voice hard, but fear caused her voice to crack a bit. She caught the packet and opened it up. "Pills?" she whispered, looking at the contents, then backup at Toshigo. "These better work." She looked back down at Kai and tightened the chains around him before sitting on his chest. She took a hold of Kai's jaw and tried forcing his mouth open, one of the pills in her other hand.

"Pills might work, but the thing is, Kaen wasn't suppose to know about this," he looked at Akeno a bit surprised, "I think the cat's out of the bag! I might get smothered by Kaen for this. Oh," he watched as Tali came out buttoning his shirt, crying. He didn't waste time stopping Tali and lifting his up on his shoulder. "Let me go, Pidge..." "What happened? I'm in charge of Tali so let me have it, Doc." The doctor left the room with his bag and took Akeno's hand and slapped it, "I told you to give him a vial once every hour," he placed his bog down and wrote something down, "I'll make new vials...Tali's light canal is still broken and he's...well, that's none of your business." he gave a smile and walked through a light gate he made. Asphiel shook Tali, "What happened?" "I can't have babies..." Tali said in a whisper and placed Tali down and hugged him, "Okay, now, I need your help, remember?" "Okay..." Asphiel moved Tali to a guard, "Three angels, three demons, make sure he;'s safe at all costs while he scans the whole place. Er...Akeno will make some of the demons go with you all, and some of you are staying back as guards, just in case. And I need five angels to track down Kai." the guard nodded and walked away to the General. Tali just cleaned the tears and cracked his knuckles, trying to go back to normal.

Kai tried to get away but failed and screamed after taking the pills. Toshigo moved his gun down and walked to the couple, "That'll help him, believe me," he stood next to her and took off his uniform jacket, "Uh, my superiors will get Kai arrested for blowing up half of the building, so why don't we move Kai somewhere until we can contyrol the situation..." he saw the smoke clear and moved his ahnd to make pieces that were hanging loose on the building fall, to give them more minutes. "I'll open a gate, or you have a better idea?" Kai screamed and looked at Toshigo, "You won't...make me...go away...."

"And why wasn't she? What if something had happened to make Kai lose it and only Acher and Kaen was around? You should have at least let her have access to pills with the understanding that she give them to Kai if he seemed different at any point," Akeno said, keeping his voice level as the doctor walked over and slapped his hand. "I don't remember being told that," he muttered, rubbing his hand as he got to his feet and walked to Tali. "I'll go get the the demons. I guarantee that they will be ones that I can trust in this situation."

Kaen looked up at Toshigo, putting her hand over Kai's nose to make sure he swallowed the pills. "My house. It's not far from here, just on the other side of town. The house is empty right now," she said, not moving off of Kai. "Go ahead and make a gate while I secure him more so we can move him." She looked down at Kai and moved her hand. "We will make you go away. Trust me," she growled at him, the hardness coming back to her voice. She tapped part of the chain and it separated from the ground, but the chains grew heavier that even if he struggled a lot, Kai would not be able to wiggle free.

"Kai wasn't suppose to snap," Asphiel said as he moved to his comm to look for more information, "Go do your work. Now I have more work in my hands...and I was suppose to have been booted out by Ukiel. I distinctively remeber that," he gave a look at Tali before going to the kids for a second to make sure they were doing alright. Tali adjusted his shirt and gave a look at Akeno, "It's okay, I have a feeling the Society is too busy moving than to look for tiny old me..." he smiled and watched as three angels moved towards him. He tied his hair back with a lock of his won hair before walking out, "Hey, have fun at whatever you will do."

Toshigo didn't know where the house was, "Uhm...bad idea...I don't know where the house is..." he sat on Kai and held him down, making Kaen move away, "You open the gate and I'll throw him in..." he smiled, trying to look as calm and composed as he could, a bit nervous since his superiors might be mad at him for not obeying orders, "The angels better give me credit for this.

Akeno glanced at the new angels and nodded. "We'll just have to make sure that we're where they can't find you in case they find somewhere to stay," he said to Tali with a smile. "Do you know where the new map needs to be of? We've been a bit out of the loop, so I need to know where the new bases are." He looked over at the demons hanging around. "I still need to select two of them to help protect Tali."

Kaen blinked at him, then blushed and nodded. "Yeah, I didn't think about that, sorry," she said and opened a portal to the house. She stepped through the portal to make sure it was clear on the other side, then stepped back through. "It's clear, let's go," she said, reducing the weight of the chains. "You should be able to lift him now. If they don't give you credit, I'll personally yell at Ukiel and Asphiel and who ever else I need to." She reached out her hand to Toshigo, putting one on Kai's head. "Just keep a hold on my hand as we go through, otherwise you'll be lost to the shadowed-between."

Asphiel stopped working on his comm and looked at the angels. A glare similar to the kitsune came to his eyes. Those angels were of the other General's batallion, not of Ukiel's men. He knew better than to trust them with Tali. They talked awful things about the angel, not really liking him, considering him dirty, trash that should be thrown to the side. He bet anything they didn't want to be paired with such a being. Asphiel took a deep breath before answering to Akeno; who taught Ukiel to take a deep breath before talking? None other than Asphiel. He taught that the best words said were the calmed ones. "Well, since they attacked us with dragons the most certain thing is that there's a base in the mountain area near Byakko's territory. They're probably moving to make sure they're not traced to the original base, so that's why I need Tali to make sure we find both areas, so Uki's men can destroy them, erm, yours as well. Sorry, but I've never worked with demons in battlefield, strategy-wise," hegrabbed one of the angels and threw him out, "I don't want you three with Tali, you mgiht try to touch his butt and his lover might kill you. Go get one of the King's men. They're more capable. You want me to come, Tali?" Tali was staring at him and at Akeno, "Uhm, no, they need you here. If I need you I'll beep you, alright?" "Akeno, choose the most undesirable demon for Talidzfer." Asphiel smiled, Tali's face went red, mad at hearing his whole name.

"And as long as I touch Kai, he won't be able to use light to kill us. Yay! We deserve white wine and peach pie after this," he picked Kai up and stood a second not knowing what to do, so he just placed his lightweight brother under his arm and took Kaen's hand, "Wasn't Uki sick? You mean Asphiel, and Pidge is scary for the Alliance as it is, so there won't be any trouble. An angel that can trick radars into not seeing him, scary." he passed through the portal and stared at the house, "Japanese house, nice. I always wanted one of these. Reminds me of my mother." He threw Kai on the floor when he tried biting Toshigo.

Akeno nodded, making a mental note to check that area. He was about to make a comment when Asphiel threw the angels out; instead he smiled with approval. "Well done. Now that I know what some of those who might harass Tali look like, I know who to watch out for now," he said with a grin. Akeno laughed at Tali's reaction to Asphiel's comment. "Don't worry, I'll find exactly the right demons to watch Tali. I have a couple in mind, in fact. The insane red fox siblings. Extremely trustworthy, a little...unusual in their methods, especially Yume, but excellent fighters. I just wish there were more of them. I saw them hanging around here, so they won't be hard to find."

Kaen closed the portal and stood next to Toshigo. "Kai insisted on a Japanese house. Probably cause that's about the only type of house I feel comfortable in," Kaen said holding the door open. She closed the door when TOshigo tossed Kai to the ground. "Hey! Be careful! The chains could damage my floor!" She stood with her hands on her hips, glancing down at the hardwood and tatami floor that spread across the room. "What do we need to do now?" she asked as she brushed her fingers against the chains around Kai, making them heavy once again. She looked down with sad eyes at Kai, hoping that her Kai would come back soon.

“You guys treat me like a King or Queen or a very stubborn child.” “But you are a stubborn child,” Asphiel said hugging Tali, then letting go when he saw the new angels coming in. The one in the middle looked a bit like Asphiel, but bigger and more robust. The second he saw Tali the two other angels grinned and watched the big one. The angel covered his mouth and looked away, “I am heartbroken to see that destiny brought us together again but I can never have you in my arms,” he said in a very dramatic way, a really bad acting. Tali looked a bit embarrassed as he gave a small wave, “Hello Amilfer…” “I also heard the rumors that you had a lover. Let him come and we’ll fight for you!” Amil said, standing in a heroic pose with his sword at hand. Tali looked at Akeno, a very embarrassed face, “Yeah, I’m taken, and no, there’s no fighting…” Amil just sighed, “Then I’ll just guard you on your mission, just stay close to me and you’ll be fine,” his friends cleared their throats, “Oh, we all will keep you safe.” Asphiel was holding in his laughter, “The perfect guards. You know, the Spartans had lovers in battle so they would fight better.” Tali wanted to punch Asphiel but just tried his best to scratch his wings, “We should go…” The other angels, on the other hand, as they prepared for battle, were playing grab the tail with the other demons. Trying to get their minds out of battles was a good thing.

Toshigo watched as kai’s hands shook. He knew what that was. Soon, Kai would just pass out, shaking wasn’t fun. He watched as Kai stopped moving, the blank expression in his face coming back, like the one in the Alliance base, “Crap,” he let go of Kai and sat down, staring at him, “I have a bad feeling, but we’ll just have to wait and see, and hope Elder doesn’t come around looking to see who did this mess,” Toshigo really didn’t know now, but he did notice that Kai had taken his own medicine. It was still in the base. Not good. “Well, better introduce myself. What manners I have…” he got up and stretched a hand to Kaen, “My name is Toshigo, I’m your brother-in-law.”

Smirking at Tali, Akeno turned to the new group of angels. "Spartans, hm? Interesting," he said to Tali. He looked at Amil. "I'm Akeno and before you ask, yes, I am Tali's." Akeno could feel his cheeks burning slightly at actually saying it. He cleared his throat. "So we just need Yume and Yasuo, and we can get going." Almost on cue, two red fox demons wandered into the room, the female one grinning widely while her brother had a small smirk on his face. "Well, hello there," Yume said to Amil and the angels, looking them over. "I hope you are helpin' in this protectin' thing." She looked up at Amil slyly, Yasuo shaking his head. "Down girl," Akeno said calmly, though he had a smile on his face. "Well, it looks like we're ready to go." He looked at the gathered bodyguards, noting with amusement that Yume was now doing a full visual inspection of Amil.

"I can set up some warning alarms around the fence line," Kaen said, looking out the window, then back at Toshigo and down to Kai. "Wh-what happened?" she asked, starting to panic as Kai stopped moving. "What were those pills?" She started tearing up and wiped at her eyes, trying to keep herself calm. "Toshigo? I think I remember you from before. You seem to at least know my name. I'm Kaen." She sat down on one of the chairs and took a deep breath, feeling abit calmer.

Tali's cheeks went red. He didn't expect Akeno to even mention that. Amil's mouth went open for a second, "I have seen him fight. And he turned into a bigger version of Miss Kaen on fox steroids," Amil looked at the two demons and smiled, "I am Amil, these are Ren, short for Reniel, and Cass, short for something very long." the other two angels bowed and moved out. Amil placed a hand on top of Tali's head, "We'll take good care of Tali." "I am not a child! Hello! I can move a mountain with my fists! I can take care of myself." "Of course you can. Now lets go." Tali led them out to the outside of the house, but Amil was the one to open the gate, "I saw the area and I think it's around here..." Tali was still mad. He just gave a wave at Akeno and passed through. They were in an open field. The angels set around him to inspect the area. Tali just sat down on the floor, taking his gloves off. Asphiel hugged Akeno, "Now that he's gone we can make out." he was joking, and his voice said so clearly.

Toshigo got up and hugged Kaen, "Asphiel keeps me informed of most of Kai's things. The pills? They keep the identities down and leaves the real identity have control. I have a feeling the man you know as Kai is an identity," he felt bad to mention that, but it was true. Kai was trying to focus his vision a bit. Toshigo just tried to ignore him, "He just needs to fuse his identities. The Kai you know and this one is the same person. What he has is a broken personality that looks like many people. He'll be fine."

"In my defense, I've had that form longer than Kaen," Akeno said as Yume and Yasuo left with the other two angels, Yasuo practically dragging his sister. "I'll follow in a minute." When Asphiel hugged him, he chuckled and shook his head. "I don't know, Tali might be very upset," he said, moving Asphiel's arms. He held onto them and looked at Asphiel seriously. "Do you trust those three to not try something with Tali? I need to honestly know that." He let go of Asphiel's arms and crossed his own arms across his chest and waited for an answer.

Kaen cursed under her breath, shuddering lightly at Toshigo's words. She looked at Kai as he started to move again, then back at the purple-haired man. "How long will it take? So I can only hope that when this...fusing is over, the man I fell in love with is still there." She got up out of the chair and wandered around the room, needing something to do other than sit. "Do...do you want anything to eat? I need to do something, I can't just sit there, if I do...." She looked at Kai, then looked away. Everytime she looked at him, she felt horrible for chaining him up and forcing something down his throat, as necessary as it was.

Asphiel looked a bit confused, "I was joking about that, of the other angels. They don't care for him. Actually, they think he's disgusting. As for Amil, he is just joking around. He has always made fun of Tali for being short and too pretty for an angel," he pointed out, "The demon boy might make a move faster...anyway, changing the subject, the General will move out soon, and you need to find Byakko to see if he wants to get his land back. After seeing Thais he freaked out and left. The b*****d pretty much obligated me to give Thais away to some demon temple for a while..."

Tali watched that the angels were done inspecting. He gave a look at the demons, "I'm Tali." "Tali, get to work." "Leave me alone, Amil." Tali closed his eyes and touched the ground. The angels just kept their eyes open. "We're a bit far away from the real entrance, but there is a pathway...and I can sense the dragons. There' s a bunch of moving. I think we got here at the nick of time." "They're moving the dragons. Perfect, we'll just follow them." Amil was a bit excited. He liked ragons.

"I need desert. No joke. You have anything sweet?" he got up and followed her, "You can let go of him. I don't think he'll do anything," he took out a small little device and hid from Kaen. After a minute, and a beeping sound, he came out and smiled at her, "He'll be fine, trust me. He had it under control until just now, so he can control it again without any trouble. It'll be dificult, but Elder's children are well known to not give up."

Akeno nodded. "I just wanted to make sure that they wouldn't try to hurt him or anything like that. Tali's...been having some memories flair up when he's in male form around me. I just don't want that getting worse for his sake," he said, moving towards the door. "Byakko? I'm not surprised. He's always had a hard time with people getting attached to him. I'm pretty sure that he's probably very close to his lands, keeping an eye on them to figure out a plan."

"I'm Yume, and that's my brother Yasuo," Yume said, pointing at herself and Yasuo. Yasuo was walking around, helping check the area. He came close to Yume and whispered something to her. "No kidding? Yasuo says that there's a cliff nearby where we could watch them moving the beasts without being seen ourselves."

Asphiel looked down, "Tali hasn't talked too much about what happened to him, what we know is usually what we think happened. So he just makes the memories circle in his head over and over. Don't worry, I'll talk to him when he gets back. I have a remedy for what he's doing." he tilted his head about the Byakko thing "Thais knew that really well. That's why she dressed as a boy, and pretty much acted like one. Hides him from any affection. He can admire him and he'll cry at nights. OKAY!" he knew he shouldn't be talking about that, "I'll send some spies to see the situation so you be a good papa bear and lead you men now move~!" he pushed the demon out,

Tali took out paper and ink, used his light energy to move the ink and started making a map of a building, with all the rooms and other details he saw about the place, even amount of people. After an hour Tali had three floors done. He removed his other hand from the floor and got up, talking to the demons, "These need to be seen by Akeno and Pidge," he started walking towards the cliff, closely followed by Amil. "Amil stay some feet away from me..." Tali said, leaving Amil confused, but he did as was told. The feeling of him close made him feel weird. "I want akeno.." he muttered as he looked at the map, hoping no one heard.

Akeno let himself be pushed out, smirking. He found Orn and explained to him the situation. "I want to stay near Tali, since he's in a lot of danger, so you get to look for Byakko," he explained to the lizard demon and motioned down one of the wind sprites. "Take a couple of them with you to help you look for Byakko, though he shouldn't be hard to find." Akeno walked to the gate and stepped through it, looking around for a moment to find Tali and the others. Spotting him, Akeno walked towards him, motioning at Amil to not say anything as he moved close to Tali. "So, were you waiting long?" he asked casually, hoping he didn't scare Tali.

"What type of dessert did you have in mind?" Kaen asked as she went to the pantry and opened it. The top shelf of the pantry was filled with various cans of fruit. "You had mentioned something about peach pie, but I don't think I have a pie crust ready." SHe dug around the pantry, eventually finding a box of cake mix. "What about a peach cake? If you don't mind waiting for a bit that is."

Tali jumped, wanting to run off, but he recognized the voice and turned around. He wanted to pounce but held back the urge to and smiled, "I was just thinking about you," his smile disappeared the second Amil did the crying act again, "I found a three floor building underground, the first floor being the place where they keep the dragons, the rest is what I think a place to raise things. I got a lot of signals or parasite monsters. They're probably raising things in there. Oh, and they're moving this way. Dragons, I mean." he touched a tree, "Oh, they're already on their way." Amil encouraged Tali to keep moving and made sure they weren't seen as they saw the men making the dragons run down the path, hitting them. Tali wanted to stop them but Amil kept him down, "You can't move." "I can stop them. Please let me help the dragons..."

"If you have a cookie, I can wait," he played with light on Kai's chains, making the chains loosen up. Kai sat up, but didn't move anywhere, just looking around, "Where am I..." he muttered. Toshigo just left him to ponder, "I like baking cakes. My dogs like cake a lot. Kaen, you alright? I really thought Asphiel told you about all this..."

Akeno looked at Tali's map and nodded. "If they've had many more underground buildings, that would explain why we've had trouble finding them." He looked at the dragons, eyes narrowed. "I can't believe they're using such creatures," he muttered as he watched the men. One dragon turned to snap at a man, his partner hitting the dragon directly over the eyes, making the dragon roar in pain and fury. Akeno grinned cruelly. "Perfect. Make the beast hate you and see what that'll do for you," he growled, then looked at Amil, the cruel smile lessened to not scare Tali. "I think it might do the men good for a dragon to come loose, but they may take the chance to grab Tali if he's the one to go." Yume, hearing the tone of Akeno's voice, practically starting bouncing up and down her hand in the air. "OO! Pick me! I'll do it! I'll do it!" she begged, bouncing from foot to foot.

Kaen pulled a bag out of the pantry and handed Toshigo a cookie. "These never go bad," she said as she grabbed a can of peaches from the pantry and set it next to the cake mix on the counter. She poured the mix into a bowl and started making the cake. "Asphiel never told me about any of this. I mean, I knew about Darrien, but I didn't know about the personality thing. I was merely told that Darrien was Kai's given name at birth and he was renamed Kai in the Light Realm. Asphiel probably kept it secret in the hopes that we wouldn't be having this problem."

Tali smiled, "You go and get the men, I'll sneak to the back and make sure the dragons don't attack us," he moved back to go around the tree line to make sure he wasn't see. He leaned on a tree and closed his eyes. Amil was confused again, "I better go with him. Just to make sure they don't go his way," he followed Tali. The other two angels had their weapons at hand, "Go ahead, lady." Tali was using his energy to calm the dragons, it spread along the whole area, even the angels felt the energy.

"I bet you would've freaked out. Darrien was his real name, and Kai is the name he put on himself when he turned into a light being. It's something all of us do, just that affects people with personalities more," he ate the cookie fast, savoring it in his mouth, "I feel better now, but another cookie will make me feel much better," he looked back at Kai, "If you want I can help with what Kai has. I'll talk to my superiors. They'll protect Kai."

Yume looked at Akeno, who sighed and nodded. Yume grinned widely and ran off, outting an invisibility illusion over her. Yasuo walked up to Akeno and looked up at him. "I'll go. Make sure she don't get in too much trouble," he said, then ran off after his sister, putting a similar illusion on himself. Akeno watched Amil follow Tali, then looked at the other two. "The three of us will standby and go after who ever needs the extra help," he stated as he walked after Tali and Amil. He knew the kitsune twins would give out as much trouble as they received, so he wasn't all that worried about them.

Kaen handed Toshigo another cookie, then set the bag on the counter. "Still, it would have been better to know, at least to have a warning about what to do in this situation." She dumped the peaches into the cake batter and stirred it. She stopped at Toshigo's words. "What do you mean by help? I haven't had that good of a record with the angel superiors, in case you haven't heard."

The dragons, once they passed near Tali, they stopped and tried looking for Tali. The angel just looked at them with a smile and stretched a hand to the first dragon, which got so close Tali could give him a hug on his nose. The tamers were getting annoyed and then seeing the dragons stopped made them walk to the front to see what was wrong. The one in front moved back and seeing Tali he tried hitting Tali with the whip. The whip didn't get far since Amil cut right through it and grabbed the man's neck, "How dare you touch him..." the others tried to help his friend. Tali just stayed as calm as possible, but Tali whispered something and the dragons started getting mad again, but not at Tali, but for the tamers.

Toshigo laughed, "I don't work for the Light Realm, at least, not anymore. I'm a Major in the Alliance. They...have good men that can help Kai," he shrugged, "Besides, the leader in the Light Realm is Ukiel. I think you might get along with the King." he went for his gun when he saw Kai standing next to him. His eyes weren't lost anymore, but it was obvious that he was crying. He walked slowly to Kaen and looked at what she was doing, "I. Can. Help..." Kai was trying his best to stay conscious. "Did I. Hurt...you?" he asked Kaen, passing his hand through her hair, his voice sounding forced.

Akeno started forward when he saw the man try whipping Tali. He flicked his eyes in time to see the double shimmer that was Yume and Yasuo as they snuck up along side the dragons and began untying them. Akeno nodded when he saw the ropes pause and then the ropes were untied. He stepped up on the other side of Tali, shoving one of the other men to the ground as he attempted to grab Tali. "You will stay down there until we decide to release you," he said as he put his foot on the man's chest.

Kaen shrugged. "I've only ever gotten along well with one Alliance soldier before now. As for getting along with Ukiel...we've had our disagreements," she said, stopping when she saw Kai walking towards her. She tried to maintain a sense of calm, but couldn't help flinching when Kai touched her. "You didn't hurt me, but you came close," she said, suddenly remembering looking down the barrel of Darrien's gun and a small shiver went through her as she stepped away from Kai to turn the oven on. She didn't mean to run away, she was more nervous about which Kai this was. It sounded like her Kai, her angel, but...she couldn't help thinking about the things Darrien had said.

Tali watched as the men were rounded up, and seeing two others come towards them, he smiled in a very innocent way, "The dragons are loose. It's between helping us, or I'll make the dragons eat you," some of them stayed in their place, weapons up. Tali looked at Yume and Yasuo, "Do what you want with them. Amil, take your angels and make sure the dragons get safely back to camp, and call Roddie. Akeno, do you want to find the other base.? I can make the dragon take us." "No," Amil objected, "We're here to protect you. You'll be goign with at least three of us." Tali rolled his eyes and jumped on the dragon's head, then rolled down the back, "I'm good, let's go. Dragon, take us to the base. I promise you will be safe with us." Amil watched Tali, "You're small." "No I'm not!"

Kai watched Kaen leave his side. Kaen didn't know how much strength he had to put to just bring himself back, to be able to be 'Kai' again. In his mind he lost her, and like an echo in the back of his head he could hear Darrien laughing. He looked at Toshigo and then back at Kaen. He leaned on the counter to look at her, "We should... split up, Kaen," he said, finally getting a steady tone in his voice. Toshigo gasped and walked to his brother, "You're not serious..." "I'm. sorry. I want Kaen to be...Happy," Kai knew better that it might take a while for things to go back to normal. He didn't want Kaen or Acher to pass through that, "Elder. Broke my brain. I need...to fix. It."

Yume and Yasuo became visible again and each tackled one of the men, effectively breaking their necks on the impact. Yume grinned at another man as she got up, sliding her punching dagger into place on her fist. "You wanna be next?" she asked walking towards the man slowly, twirling the dagger as she rotated her wrist. Yasuo followed his sister's actions, revealing his punching daggers and approaching another man, an equally maniacal grin on his face. Akeno turned to Amil. "I plan on going with him, so you and another angel can either come with us or catch up," he said as he climbed onto the dragon behind Tali. "Those two can take care of the men." He pointed a finger at Yume and Yasuo, both of whom were simply waiting for the men to make a wrong move.

Kaen turned slowly to face Kai, utter shock on her face. "Please don't mean that," she whispered as tears came to her eyes. She crossed back to Kai and reached out to him. "I-I'm sorry I turned away, I was just....scared." Her hands were trembling as she practically collapsed against Kai, crying against his shirt. "Please don't! I love you! If you make me leave..." She shook her head and pulled back to look into his face. "I wouldn't be able to stand it. When you were taken, I almost lost it just trying to find you. Please don't say we should split." She looked up into his eyes, though it was a little hard to focus with the tears in her eyes, making her eyes look like liquid gold.

"It'll be difficult to move the dragons, so we'll move the dragons, kill the guards and move. I'll fly to you guys later," he saw the men jumping off the dragons, but Amil made two axes appear and threw it at them, going into their skulls, making the corpses fall on the floor. With light he made the axes come back to him. "Tali, be careful now." Tali nodded, "Akeno will take care of me. No worried. Akeno, hold on," he pet the dragon and took to the skies. Tali's eyes widened, but of joy. He hasn't flown in a long time. He looked up front to see that they were heading to the mountain area. There he saw fire and bombs bursting, "They most be fighting again," he saw they were heading to a mountain with snow on top, and the air got colder, "Is it here, dragon?" the dragon circled, not wanting to get close.

Kai hugged her, "Kaen, I just don't want to hurt you, again. I know I can hold him down. I promise you'll be safe," he was crying as well, "I love you, Kaen. I won't hurt you. I won't." Toshigo felt like an intruder now, scratching his head, then playing with the purple earring on his ear. He got up anddid a hissing sound so Kai would look, "Kai, please, now you need to take this taken cared of. Kaen could've gotten hurt today, and what about your son? I suggest you go back to the base's hospital and be a good head of household." Kai looked at Toshigo a bit surprise, the tears stopping, and he laughed, "I'm not the head of the household. Kaen is. I won't leave you...I would never..."

Yume and Yasuo grinned at each other and helped Amil clean up the rest of the guards. Akeno yelled something at them in the kitsune dialect of demonic and they both nodded, carrying out the rest of their killing a little quieter. Akeno smirked, then jolted as the dragon took off. He held onto Tali tightly and shuddered; he wasn't going to verbally admit that he was terrified of flying, so he did his best to hide it. He looked ahead of where they were flying. "That's got to be it," he said, eyes sweeping the ground below them until his head started spinning from dizziness. He shut his eyes and leaned his head against Tali. "Are we landing soon?" he asked quietly, refusing to open his eyes now for sure.

Kaen returned the hug, burying her face against his neck. "I love you too," she whispered. She jumped when she heard Toshigo hiss; she had forgotten he was there. "If he goes back to the base, I'm going with him, at least to find out what they're doing. Acher's with Asphiel, so he's alright there for a while," she said, lifting her head off Kai's shoulder so she could speak easier. "I just want to know what they are going to do to Kai. And besides, that was no where near the first time I've had a gun pointed at me."

Tali dropped his wings the second he felt Akeno hold on to him tight, "We'll land, but not in the mountain," the dragon sensed Tali and moved away from the mountain into the forest, staying as low as possible so not to be seen. Once they landed he made Akeno let go and looked at him, "Let me jump down first so I can let you down," he jumped off and stretched his arms, "Jump. Akeno, you'll be alright?" the bombs were heard louder and strange vibrations were felt through the ground, "Come on, I'm gonna make the maps. If you want we'll go back home through a gate," the dragon seemed to want to leave but he stayed still, for Tali. "We have to keep our eyes open. We're far enough from the area, but who knows..."

Toshigo looked away, "Let me leave to the base again. From what I saw it isn't that far away from here. I'm going to talk to my Superiors, then fix everything for Kai to be evaluated. From experience, you'll be diagnosed, then they'll give you meds, then you'll have to keep visiting the doctor until stable. So, I guess you'll be out of battle at least a week." "Experience?" "Did I say experience, no, I mean, it's in a handbook. I work with soem things like that sometimes. You know, mental illnesses and stuff. Anyway, I'll be on my way. Kaen, do you want me to stay?" Kai was very confused, but just concentrated on Kaen. Kaen wasn't confusing.

"Let me get down on my own and save my dignity that way," Akeno chuckled as he slid off the dragon's back. "Kaen's got the stomach for flying, not me. I'm too...earth-tied I guess." He smiled sheepishly at Tali. "Now you know something that scares me at least, just don't tell anyone." He looked through the trees, placing his hand on one near him. "Those bombs destroyed the outer portion of this forest. I guess the dragons were hiding in the trees and the bombs scared them out," he said, looking at Tali. "Yes, I think a gate would be better for the return trip."

Kaen arched an eyebrow at Toshigo, but didn't say a word. She had wondered, after their conversation, if the purple-haired man had had something similar happen with him, especially since he seemed different from the last time she had met him. "Actually Toshigo, could you check on Acher and let him know what's going on? He hasn't met you yet, but give him this and he'll know I sent you." She formed a silver rose bud on a short stem with her chains and handed it to Acher. "He should recognize my aura scent on that. I'll go with Kai to the base." She hugged him possessively and kissed his cheek. "I guess I get to take care of him again for a while."

Tali placed his hands on the ground and ,moving his energy to the mountain area. His eyes were looking at space, not really focusing on anything, "Akeno, the mountain is fake. It's a whole base there." he took the things out of the bag and started doing a map of the place, with as much detail as possible. He started from the lower floor and going up. The dragon started growling with the sounds of the battle. After some minutes he got to the last floor, making it quite simple, noticing it was an office, a big office. "I'm almost do--" Tali's eyes went wide, sensing a relic, a familiar relic. Tali's body leaned forward and fell in a trance. The dragon wanted to run away since the bombs were being thrown around the area, now having informaion of the enemy stopping the dragons.

"I'm sorry," he said in an apologetic tone, hugging Kaen, and whispering, "Is he a friend of yours?" Toshigo took the flower and, like a trade, he gave aKaen a card, "When you go to the hospital, ask for this man. Anyone else and we all might get into trouble," he disappeared in light, appearing in front of Asphiel's property and walking the rest of the way there. The place was empty since most of the soldiers had left for battle. Kai watched the man turn into light and then hugged Kaen, "Why do I always end up being the one being hurt? Well, it's better me than you," he sighed, still feeling the effects of the pills strong, "How do we get there?"

Akeno was looking away when Tali went into the trance, turning back when he heard a thud. "Tali!" Akeno ran over to the angel and turned him over, looking down into his face. "Tali, hey wake up," he said, smacking Tali's cheeks lightly and cradling Tali against him. "It's something about this mountain..." He gathered the map and lifted Tali, creating a portal back to the field the others were in. "I've got to get you away from here." He turned to the dragon. "Go, you're free!" he said, then repeated it in demonic, which seemed to have similiar phrasing as draconic sometimes. The dragon gave a roar and flew out of the trees as Akeno carried Tali through the portal. "Amil! He's in a trance!" Akeno called as he stepped from the portal, sealing it behind him.

"I'll explain in a moment," Kaen whispered back, then took the card from Toshigo. She nodded and stuck the card in her pocket. "Got it. Take care," she said as he disappeared. She looked at Kai, still wrapped up in his arms. "THat man, Toshigo, he told me that he's your half-brother. He helped me take care of you when we found you at the base. He carried you here for me through my portal," she explained, leading him to the couch and sitting down. "Do you remember anything that happened today?"

Amil and the angels were moving the dragons through a portal to Asphiel's house. One of the angels did Amils' job of keeping the gate open while Amil ran to the angel, smacking his cheek, "They probably protected the area. Probably figured that some demons can see through the ground. They probably put hexes. Er..." he placed his hand Tali's forehead, trying to see if he could break the hex, but next to the hex he saw something else, "A white kitsune beast man...Oh, the one that ki--" call from one of the angels rang in his ears, snapping him back to reality. On top of them was a giant eyeball. Amil's jaw dropped, not really moving, "Akeno, there's a giant eyeball on top of us...Should we move?" The angel that was moving the dragons stopped after the last dragon passed through the portal, then he exploded. Now Amil was definitely not going to move.

"Would you get mad if I told you that I don't?" he looked at Kaen, trying to remember, "I remember waking up...I remember starting a game, then you running after Acher...and now here. I think Darrien and Mini have taken over me all this time. Kaen," he looked into her eyes, "I love you, but...." he stopped, no it wasn't worth saying, "Forget it. I promise I'll work hard to get over this. I have to start being a good husband," he nodded, leaning back, "Now, Toshigo is my brother....doesn't that strike you as weird? I mean, we haven't met him before, and he looks nothing like us...xcept for ht eyes, I guess...It's too much for one day..."

"They found out about Tali's power," Akeno said as Amil looked the angel over. Akeno looked up at the eye ball and was about to yell a warning when the angel exploded. "Stay perfectly still," he whispered, still looking straight up at the eye ball. "I haven't seen anything like that before, but I've seen something similiar. It's triggered by movement." Slowly Akeno turned his head to make sure that there was only one. "No direct attacks will work; only distance attacks that don't involve a lot of movement."

Kaen nodded, and put a hand on Kai's cheek. "I thought something had changed when I took Acher up to clean his fur. You didn't seem...well," she said, putting her other hand over Kai's hand and giving it a squeeze. "You've always been a good husband. Both of us just have a problem with the past trying to resurface and take over our future. If you weren't a good husband, I wouldn't have put up with you for so long or had a child with you." She smiled at him as he leaned back. "Not really. Considering Elder's age, I'm not that surprised that he's had a couple children. Toshigo definitely doesn't look like you, but his kindness is like yours. Plus the sweet tooth. I need to make more cookies." She laughed, then leaned forward to kiss Kai, one hand reaching up to play with his hair. She had been missing the feel of his lips desperately.

Amil didn't think twice of not moving, "When is Asphiel when you need him. Just make sure Tali doesn't move...even if he can..." he tried getting a light box out of his pocket, to at least send a light message to Asphiel. Tali was trying his best to get himself off the trance. The only thing he saw was a white thing. The first thing that came to his head was the kitsune that killed him, then he smiled, remembering who was with him, "Akeno?" his eyes went back to normalas he tried getting up, "Where is the dragon?" he saw the eyeball and froze, trying to send his energy through the air to make sure no one else got hurt, "Where's the other two kitsune?"

Kai held her close, giving her a kiss with much love in it, "Cookies...I got my cookie right here..." he didn't let her go, afraid of what might happen if it did. He kissed her neck, "I have to remember that..." and he remembered he couldn't forget, "Kaen, will you make the cookies first? Or should we go there...I have to tell you something...those pills that man gave me are pushing me back inside of this body...so I need help..." he smiled, almost as if trying to hide the struggle of staying in that form.

"Stay still," Akeno whispered as he looked for Yume and Yasuo. He saw the two hiding in a bush on the other side of the eye ball, eyes fixed on the floating orb. "They're safe for now. I let our dragon go free before bringing you back here." He licked his lips, not liking the inaction. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Yasuo trying to sneak up on the eye ball, making almost no noise as he brought up his invisibility illusion. Yume seemed livid that her brother had snuck away, but didn't do anything to get him back to where she was.

"Yes you do," Kaen purred as Kai kissed her neck, then kissed his forehead. "I can make some cookies, but the peach cake should be done soon." She pushed herself up enough that she could look down at Kai, her eyes sad. "We should probably get there soon, but after the cake at least." She brushed his bangs away from his face and kissed him again before getting up just before the timer went off. Kaen swatted the timer to make it stop beeping then pulled the cake out of the oven, the warm peach scent rolling through the room quickly. "We can go while this cools, if you want to go now," she said crossing back to Kai and leaning over him, still standing.

"There." Amil had communicated Asphiel. Tali couldn't take his eyes off of the thing, "It's tag. We kill it, they'll know, and they'll probably send bombs this way..." he felt Asphiel roaming the wind, but he didn't get close, after sensing Tali. "We move the second he kills it, okay?" he hugged Akeno, and then he saw Asphiel appear between the camouflaged illusion, lance at hand, and with one slice the monster was cut in half, and the screech it let out was heard all around, even in the enemy base. The Society started organizing more bombs, getting their equipment ready to launch at all sides, killing the whole forest if they need to.

Kai smiled, "If we go now, there won't be cake for me...I have a feeling that the second I get there, they won't let me go in a long time..."he got up slowly, feeling his body feel like a thousand tons. He looked at kaen, trying his best for his happy smile, "I want cake, and send a piece of it to Acher," he moved away, "I'm scared. Cake will help with that...Will you leave me there and go to Acher, or stay, at least some hours...?"

"Yasuo!" Yume screamed as she saw a shimmer very close to Asphiel's lance, then Yasuo popped out of hiding, lying on the ground. THe lance had missed him, and Yasuo scrambled to his feet, watching Asphiel. "Stand down, Yasuo," Akeno ordered as he stood. "We all need to get out of here and fast. They are probably sending bombs as we speak," Akeno said, helping Tali up. Yume ran over to Yasuo and chattered at him out of terror, checking him over to make sure he was alright. Insane as she was when fighting, Yume was truefully a lot like Kaen in the way she cared and looked after her brother.

Kaen let Kai get up, holding onto his arm to help him up. "I can give us each a slice before we go," she said going to the kitchen and slicing the cake. She carried one to Kai and started eating the other one herself, watching Kai. "I'll make sure Acher gets some." She ate about half her slice as she thought silently for a moment. "I'll stay with you. For as long as you want me to. THere's no way I'd leave you there by yourself for a long time. Neither of us would be able to stand that." She set her now empty plate down and went to the fridge. "Would you like some milk?" she asked as she poured herself a glass.

Asphiel disappeared and appeared next to Yume and Yauso, "They're bringign missiles from the north and we can't stop them all, so you guys need to get home if you don't want to fight," he looked at Tali, noticing that he was a bit different, but didn't want to ask. Tali looked around, "I-I'll fight. Where's my gloves?" "You're not fighting, that's an order. I want you home. If the rest want to fight, it'll be nice," then he disappeared, and two shots were heard and they only appeared as sparks near Yume and Yasuo. Asphiel appeared again, spearready to attack, and seeing a big man, dressed in the Society's black cloak, and two guns at hand. "Guys, move, this guy's mine," the sound of the missiles were heard and Tali opened a gate, "Let's move!" Asphiel and the man disappeared in thin air. Tali was worried, "They're both teleporters..." "Asphiel is the fastest being ever lived, so move, Tiny," Amil said picking Tali up and passing him through the gate back to safe territory, where more soldiers were arriving.

Kai finished his cake as well, but as he enjoyed the taste he kept looking at kanen, and started sinking into his mind again, so by the time she asked about the milk he only heard a murmur, then it happened, his eyes seemed to chaned, becoming soft, innocent, "E-excuse me...but, who are you?" he stretched his hand to Kaen, "You are demon, but you look nice. I'm a light being from the Light Realm, embassador of the Elders, leaders of the Light Realm. What's your name, demon?" he smiled, like if what he said made sense. That's what Kai was taught when he first started being a light being.

Akeno barked an order at Yume and Yasuo and the two bolted for the gate. AKeno turned to look for Asphiel, but knew that the angel would be fine. He almost protested when Amil picked up Tali, then realized that this wasn't the time; they had to get out and fast. AKeno was the last through the gate after making sure the others got through first. On the other side, he walked up to Tali and Amil. "Are you alright now?" he asked Tali, keeping his eyes on him.

Kaen looked back at the question and cursed under her breath. He's changed again, she told herself as she went ahead and poured the cup of milk. "My name's Kaen. I'm a leader from the demon plane who was sent to protect you while you are here in the human realm," she said carefully, handing him the milk. "As soon as you finish drinking that, it's cow's milk, I'm supposed to take you to a human base, where I can protect you easier." She kept a reassuring smile on his face, hoping that the Darrien personality wouldn't surface. "I was never really told your name. What is it?"

Tali looked a bit dazed, confused at what was going on after going through the portal, "I'm okay. I just can't think straight..." he still had the hex, thinking of that fox demon, "We should help in the fighting." "You're not going anywhere. You're weak and have to stay here." "Let me go!!" Amil kept his arms around him, even though Tali tried moving away, Amil knew exactly how to hold him so he wouldn't slip away, or use his strength against him. Then the sounds of the bombs on the area they were earlier could be seen and heard in the distance. Then the sound of gunshots. "The world's coming to an end," Tali mentioned. Amil started dragging him inside the house. Then stopped again at the sight of Asphiel, falling from the sky, then disappearing. Most of the guards looked at what was happening with Asphiel, since his pattern was weird. "I think the guy is just fast enough to beat him..." Tali tried biting now, to get Amils' hands off of his, "Akeno tell him to let go AKENO!!" he even tried stretching his wings, tears on his face, "Let go NOW!"

Kai looked rather confused, then looking embarassed, not really knowing what to answer, "I don't...have a name. I think I have to put myself a name. I'll tell you when I find one I like," he took the glass and drank half of it, "Yes, Elder taught me about milk, and other things. He said that normal life is secondary to war, so we have to be ready for it," he looked at Kaen's eyes, not really sure of a detail, "Where's Elder? Last I remember we were fighting in some demon village, we were ambushed...then sparks of things came to my eyes, figures...what happened to Elder? Did he die?" he looked at her, but his eyes usually got lost looking at every detail of her, trying to make sure that he remembered her perfectly.

"Amil, let go," AKeno said quietly, walking over and looking straight at Amil. "Tali won't go anywhere. You need to check on Asphiel. I can't fly or move the way you angels can, otherwise I would go." He knew that wasn't exactly true, he could move quickly, but the angels had a flying advantage. Plus, he wanted to stick close to Tali until he could find out what happened with the hex. Yume and Yasuo had disappeared among the other demons to get the recent news and to explain what had happened.

Kaen bit her lip, not sure how to answer that question. "Elder...no he's not dead. He, ah, the last I heard, he was hiding out somewhere, coming up with some plan or another," she said. She washed out her milk glass and set it in the sink, then sat at the dining table again. "We should probably leave for the base soon. When we go there, let me do the talking, alright? If anyone calls you Kai, it's because you look like someone from the town called Kai." In her mind, she hoped to Inari and any other god that would listen that Elder didn't find them. She wouldn't be able to take him alone, especially with Kai literally not in the right mind.

The angels were moving around, moving injured bodies, burned, missing limbs, in shock. They talked about how they made progress in getting that land back, but they were using magic resistant missiles, and the angels had been working as shields more than fighting. It was getting bad and needed all the help they could get, so they were looking for more men from anywhere. Amil let go of Tali and watched as the angel moved to Akeno’s side. “If I go help Asphiel, I’ll be more of an obstacle than help. He’s too fats an I’m not fast enough for teleporters. I’m going to move to the front lines. They need us more there than Asphiel needs us up here. If you want to stay with Tali, stay,” he moved to the others and started barking orders to the guards there and to the new soldiers that were arriving. He called for light bombers. Tali leaned towards Akeno, to play with his shirt, “I’m going to get gauntlets and I can go to battle. If we beat them down and get to the mountain we can at least keep this area safe, right?” he didn’t want to be thrown to the side. He hated that feeling, even though going might put his health at risk. The doctor saw the couple while finishing a patient and walked towards them, “Talidzfer, I want you inside of the house. You go to fight and your health will get worst and I won’t allow it!” “I have fought in this condition! I can do this!”

Asphiel and the man could be seen as dots in the sky that were only visible in random seconds. They moved from the forest to the battle area, Asphiel trying to slice the shooter, the man throwing shots, very critical shots that almost hit the angel. In one moment the man grabbed Asphiel’s lance and the both fell from the sky, “You really are Swiftwind!” the man was over forty, short white hair and red eyes, “The speed that defies the wind! I truly found my match!” Asphiel was facing back from the ground, giving a smile, “They also say I play dirty!” he spat the man and when the man let go Asphiel disappeared again, the man trying to shoot the angel.

“I like the name Kai. I would love to have it as my name, but it would be confusing,” he got up and fixed his clothes, not really remembering wearing those clothes, not light being clothes. It wasn’t important. He gently stretched a hand towards her, “We should go then. Take my hand. We’ll walk together,” he looked around, “The coat must be around here somewhere.”

Akeno smiled softly. "You really should take it easy, Tali," he said, knowing the angel would not like that answer. "At least for a short time. I want to get something to eat before we head out again anyways. I haven't had anything since this morning, and it'll make me less dizzy after that...dragon problem." He looked down at Tali and put a hand on the angel's shoulder to steer him into the house. He looked at the doctor for a moment. "I'll keep an eye on him. If you could check on the red fox male, I think he got a little shaken up earlier." Akeno started walking towards the house, taking Tali along with him.

Hane was flying along next to Asphiel as well as she could; his random teleporting made it difficult for her to find him until he reappeared. Thankfully, there was a slight air displacement before Asphiel and the other man would reappear, so Hane was at least able to visibly track them. When they fell, she dove after to at least try to catch Asphiel if he went unconscious. "He really is fast," she breathed, watching him disappear once again.

"How about....Kaito? It's similar to Kai, so you could still be called Kai as a nickname," Kaen suggested, getting up from the chair. She took Kai's hand, still familiarly warm, and smiled at him. "The walk to the base isn't long, but we do have to go through town." She paused when she saw him looking around. "What coat are you looking for?"

Tali was led to the house, a bit mad, but he didn't want to push the kitsune away. No, that would be rude. The doctor waved them off, "Make him change to a girl form and hide the guy clothes so he won't go into fighting! Bye!" he moved to Yume and Yasuo, "Hello, are you two alright?" Tali walked inside, seeing that the part of the house was with a protection charm that kept the war outside and not inside the house. The kids were watching Narnia on the tv with a big spider demon. Tali moved to the kitchen, "You can't keep me out of battle, so if you wanna eat fine. Eat, but I'm going to get those gauntlets from the pantry and going to the mountain again," he took an apple and sat down, hearing all his words echo back to him, "The hex is wearing off, I can see you like yourself again, so I can fight. No problem."

"Kaito...sounds like kitty in angelic," he laughed. Kai didn't know how ironic that was, since he was a neko. He grabbed Kaen's hand with both hands, feeling her soft skin, "When I was created...around three days from then, this Angel General gave me a red coat. I love my red coat. I guess I lost it," and it explained why Kai liked his red coat so much. He lead her to the door, "It might not be cold today. If you get cold just stay close to me." he walked out and saw dragons flying above and towards the forest, "Look, dragons. Elder taught me about those. They're ferocious and love gold."

Akeno glanced behind him, then leaned over Tali, putting his hands on his shoulders. "Look, I won't make you go into female form. I won't keep you from getting your gauntlets; I honestly want to go fight myself. I will, however, request that you take it easy," he said forcefully, his eyes full of concern. He put a hand under Tali's chin and lifted the angel's face so he could look in his eyes. "I don't want you getting hurt because of exhaustion. That's the last thing I want." Akeno leaned down to kiss Tali's forehead. "Please promise that we'll rest for a short time before we head out, okay?"

Kaen shook her head. "I haven't seen a red coat, but it hasn't been all that cold recently, so we should be fine," she said, closing the door behind her. When Kai mentioned the dragons, Kaen froze out of fear, then noticed that they were missing their collars. "The Society has been using those dragons to attack angels and demons while the Society members try to grab specimens from both angels and demons," Kaen explained, controlling her sudden shaking.

Tali closed his eyes at the kiss, and smiled, "Fine, you win. Just let me get the gaunlets before I rest, alright?" he got up and walked to the huge pantry in Asphiel's house to get the weapons. Of course, the sequence of looking at the ceiling, pulling the cord, getting to the secret armory, coming back down, securing the door, but instead of walking back to the kitchen with his big metal gauntlets, he stopped to tie his hair and walked to the backdoor that lead to the outside, and spoke in a normal tone, knowing Akeno could hear him, "We rested enough back home Akeno. Right now my friends are in danger, and if we don't stop them now even you will get hurt. I'm sorry," he opened the door and ran out, putting his gauntlets on. He was seen by some angels but none of them stopped him, except Amil, but he was too late when Tali disappeared through a gate, heading back to the mountain. Clouds of rain were visible.

"That is a bit cowardly. Making innocent animals fight your battles. It's inhumane," he felt her hand shaking and held it tight, "Dont' worry. I'm a swordmaster. I've been taught how to kill without mercy, so you will be safe with me, promise," he laughed, "But you'll have to protect me from this town...New towns are overwhelming. Is this a angelic town? Is it cotrolled by the Angel regime?" he waved at people, like if eh knew them. Kai always did that in the past. Stopped doing it when he met kaen. He had to mature.

Akeno took Tali's seat, and his apple, when the angel went to get the gauntlets. At Tali's words, Akeno had started nodding, silently agreeing that they had rested enough. Hearing the door close, Akeno froze, then replayed what Tali has said. "Damn it!!" Akeno jumped up and ran outside in time to see Tali disappear. "That little....," he hissed under his breath throwing the unfinished apple, nearly hitting a snake demon, who swore at Akeno, commander or no. "He headed back! I'm following!" he shouted to Amil as he formed a portal to the mountains and practically dove through it before it had completely formed. Akeno's gold eyes were a fiery red.

Kaen laughed dryly. "That makes two of us," she whispered, then squeezed Kai's hand to show him she was alright. "The town is actually neutral. It'd primarily human inhabited, but there are a number of demons, angels, and half-breeds of each in town. The base helps keep things safe for the different races." She led Kai through town, not minding him waving at everyone. She tended to wave at the shop keepers when she went by on her way to the jewelry shop, so she didn't mind that much. Plus, it reminded her a lot of the Kai she had met, what felt like a long time ago.

Tali ran down the forest, and knew he was in enemy territory the second he felt the relic again, then seeing the missiles arriving. He stopped int he forest and hid, using the trees to move closer until he got to the path. Then he looked at the mountain, "I just have to knock it down, right? Right," he felt the rain fall on him, "Great." He saw the tanks arriving. He moved to an open area and cracked his knuckles, "I moved a mountain once, I can do it again," He stretched his fists back and in a second, like a bullet shot, the ground broke and headed towards the mountain. Then tank shots were heard. Amil made a gate for himself and ran to the mountain. The missiles sounded heavier now.

Kai was more confused, "Angels and demons cannot live together. Yes, we can be friends, but together might cause conflict," he looked at her, "And you people live in peace?" his eyes got distracted by the large base in front of him. He stopped and let go of Kaen, "I dunno, but is this a good thing to go in there without a gift of peace?"

Akeno's sharp senses lead him to where Tali had gone, but he knew better to call for the angel. Instead, he followed the scent. When the ground shook under him, Akeno's legs slid out from under him and he hit the ground. "He's definitely in this direction," he said as he struggled back to his feet. He saw the angel hiding in the bushes not far from him and ran towards him. "What are you doing?" he demanded in a hiss as he knelt next to Tali, his eyes no longer as angry a red.

"I beg your pardon, but the light realm's view of demons is horribly skewed. A good portion don't want to fight all that much really, but are forced to based on situations around them," Kaen said, her eyes shadowed as they approached the base. "It's fine, as long as we don't cause a problem." She led Kai through the security gate, nodding at the guards as she led him to the medical building.

"Get out of here, Akeno. I'm going to destroy the base and stop all of this," he saw the tank coming their way. they knew they were there, and running Tali over was the best way. "Get out now, please," he moved towards the tank and grabbed the tank by the middle and lifted it up, "Gonna shoot me? It's too late!" he threw the tank at some missiles, making an explosion that shook the ground, "Now," he slammed his fists on the ground, making a canyon like hole appear next to the mountain. The relic started messing with his memories, and his eyes filled with tears, "I'm sorry!" he slammed his fists at another tank that tried to run him over, "I'm sorry for all you've suffered!"

Kai followed quietly, but did notice that the guards didn't waste time to get their comms out and called the officials. "I think we're not welcome," he looked at the new building, seeing white and red, "Hey, those are my two favorite colors." he saw some guards move towards the hospital, weapons at hand, "Miss Kaen? I think they want to fight..." he was scared. He didn't have a sword, "We need weapons, Miss kaen."

"TALI!!" Akeno cried out, getting to his feet and trying to catch Tali, but the angel was too fast. His eyes became red again and he slammed his hand, palm down, onto the ground, vines immediately shooting out of the ground and tangling up another tank. The vines strangled the treads and crept up, wrapping around the gun, making it backfire. "I'm not leaving without you!!" More vines shot along the mountainside, searching for anything with an evil intent.

"Stay calm. And I'll take care of the weapons," she whispered, then lifted her head high as she continued walking to the medical building. "Excuse me, I was told to come here to speak with Doctor Sou," she said to the nearest guard, holding her other hand up to show she was not armed. "If you have a problem with what happened earlier, by preventing us from seeing the doctor, you run the risk of another such occurrence happening."

"I said leave! I'm blowing the place up!!" he slammed his fists again and one of thepieces of the mountain fell off, exposing rooms. He was going to slam his fists again when he was showered not just with rain, but missiles. he disappeared in the fire and smoke, appeared, but covered in a light shield that shone golden, "I won't lose you, Akeno!!" he made the shield go into the ground, making a crater in front of him, hoping it'll be dificult for the tanks. Amil got into the fighting the second a squad full of tanks appeared and started shooting. He stopped the shots and attacked, followed by other soldiers that tried helping , even though more missiles appeared. Tali slammed his fists the second he could but stopped when he saw a cloaked man enchanting the relic he was sensing,"This'll make you stop." Tali's eyes widened when hte form of a white kitsune beastlike demon appeared with an ax at hand. He wanted to scream at Akeno when he saw the kitsune walk towards him, "No...you're dead...you died...so long ago..."

One of the guards moved forward, weapon at the ready, "We were ordered not to fire just because you're friends of Mr. Turonin, but he did order that we escort you through the area, just in case," he moved to the side to let them pass, but they would always be a step behind. Kai looked at the man, then whispered at the kitsune, close to her ears, almost tickling it, "Is Mr. Turonin a good guy? We should say thanks."

Akeno paused at Tali's words, almost losing grip on his plants, then he remembered where he was. His vines swarmed over another tank as Akeno smirked. He turned to took at Tali, not hearing any fighting coming from his area. "Tali!" he cried out, trying to snap him back to focus. "What's going on?" he muttered to himself as he ran towards Tali from the angel's side, not seeing what captured Tali's attention. There was too much dust in the air.

Kaen nodded and strode past the guards, holding tightly to Kai's hand. "Yes, Mr. Turonin, Jad, is a good guy. He's one of my close friends, and my husband's best friend," she whispered back, smiling slightly at the ear tickling. She tried hard not to flick her ear as she normally would if her ear tickled. "Doctor Sou was suggested to me by a friend. Probably the name was passed along from Jad," she said as they approached the office with Doctor Sou's name on the plague next to it.

"It's Seiko, the kitsune who killed me milleniums ago. Hold on to me," he grabbed Akeno's arms and placed them around his hips, "Keep up with me or you'll fall and get hurt!" he adjusted his pose and lifted bith hands together, clenched fists, "DIE!" he slammed his fists on the grounds, making the ground explode and make boulders go up in the air, the ground shook and broke not only there but also in the battlefield and everywhere around. Tali adjusted himself and saw kitsune in the air, ax in hand, throwing it towards the angel. He made a shield, not having another choice since Akeno was there, "Go back to darkness! Why don't you go back to darkness!! Akeno, are you alright?" the shield broke and Tali fell to the ground when the kitsune slammed the back of the ax on his face. Seiko had a blank stare, of a dead person. It looked at Akeno and stretched a hand towards him. Akeno would be a good body for him. Alive.

Asphiel saw as the ground broke but kept moving to make sure he wasn't caught. Then a bullet hit him in the arm and made him spiral, giving the man enough time to hit him, making sure the angel would disappear again. Asphiel slammed in the ground. He wasn't injured bad, the bullet just cutting his arm only slightly. When he heard the bullets the only thing he could do was to make a pure light shield. Then the bullet's effects took over him and the shield started disappearing, "Dammit!" he ran inside the forest and tried teleporting again, now slower since he couldn't use light energy. He still heard the bullets, and it made him nervous, especially now that there were huge craters in the ground.

The doctor was comming out with some papers, looking for a box of cigarettes in his pockets. He was a tall, strong looking man, his hair now grey from all the years and all the nuties he ahd to treat every day. He saw Kaen and Kai and smiled, really not knowing what was going on, "Are you my new secretary?" he watched Kai, not really trusting blue eyes blondes. His ex-wife was like that. "Or...you're a new patient...I'm Dr. Sou, I'm the head psychologist here." Kai heard the word psychologist and went into his mind, his thoughts, "Psychologist, a person that studies the mind of others. Isn't that a bad thing. Elder taught me that the mind was of one person only." The doctor hearing the name 'Elder' made his eyes go wide, "Oh no, another Elder child? How violent are his personalities?" "What personalities?" Kai asked, looking from the doctor to Kaen to the guards behind him.

Kaen arched an eyebrow at the suggestion that she was a secretary. She held up her hand to stop both men from speaking. "My name is Kaen Kitabe, and yes, he is one of Elder's children. His name, currently, is Kaito," she explained. "Kaito is one of three personalities, far as I know, that inhabit the body of my husband. Only one personality is extremely violent. The other two are very caring and sweet. The shift has only started recently with Elder trying to turn Kai into a personal weapon." She felt very bad about having to say all of this in front of Kaito. He was so much the innocent and sweet Kai Kaen had first fallen for. One of Kaen's ears flicked out of nervousness.

Hane saw Asphiel fall, and she cried out, diving down after him. She went completely intangible as she zoomed past the man Asphiel had been fighting. She landed near Asphiel and went slightly tangible. "Lord Asphiel!" she whispered harshly, completely reappearing to not frighten him. "Are you alright? Did you get hurt badly?" She knelt beside him, looking him over.

That explains a lot of things, Akeno thought as he put his arms around Tali, holding tightly. "Tali!" Akeno cried out as they fell to the ground. He put his hand on the side of Tali's head, shaking him lightly. "Wake up! Please! Come one," he whispered, anger beginning to build. He turned to look at Seiko, eyes narrowed. He recognized the look of a lingering kitsune spirit, the blank eyes that come from the soul being removed, but the basic spirit remaining with the body. He also recognized the hunger in Seiko's dead eyes. "You are not getting my body, you dead son of a b***h!" he growled at Seiko, the very earth shaking as thousands of vines and roots burst forth from under Seiko, all ready to rip his body apart.

Kai's eyes went wide as he heard this demon woman talk, feeling a bit betrayed, and whatever she was talking about, "I'm not violent. Elder taught me never use violence if not necessary," he then looked at the doctor, "Don't believe her I'm normal." "Really..." "Yes! I don't have personalities. I'm me!" "Right. I've worked with four of his brothers, three I've completed treatment," he said addressing Kaen, but Kai couldn't help to talk. "What you men brothers? I don't have brothers!" "Oh really...Miss Kitabe, I've been in this profession almost forty years, and those kids have been my pride and joy in the medical community...I'll take good care of Kaito. Sadly, I might have to keep him in lockdown if you said one of the personalities is dangerous, so you cannot stay until I find how many personalities there are." Kai was freaking out, moving away from Kaen, "How could you do this to me! You're my friend!"

"Oh, hey...sort of shot, but okay, my magic is going away. MOVE!" he grabbed her and disappeared. His teleporting was slow so he wasn't going to hurt her. He hid behind the tree and let her go. He heard the shot on the tree and kept running, afraid that it might hit. The men had an advantage now. Asphiel still was sensitive to light and darkness from the operation, so the deeper he moved to the forest the darker his vision became. It came to a part of the forest where he couldn't see well, so he teleported but he slammed to a tree when a bullet hit his back. The man appeared on top of him, pointing his gun at Asphiel's head, "I got you, Swiftwind."

Seiko was strong enough to cut some of the vines, still keeping his eyes on Akeno. He took a chance and made a run towards Akeno, ax ready to strike but Tali just got conscious, a gash over his eye, but his eye didn't get hurt. He got up and placed himself in front of Akeno and once the ax fell to strike the kitsune, Tali placed his hands and held the blade steady, "You can't take him! He's mine! Your time in this world ended. You can't come back! Rest in peace!" Seiko put more of his strength to his ex, pushing Tali back. Tali couldn't put more of his strength. He was more focused on the ground, still shaking underneath him. The mountain shook enough to start falling in pieces, the bombs falling around the area making it worst, and the rain even more worst. Seiko looked at the vines, he himself trying to control them, not really having much luck.

"Kaito, please listen to me," Kaen said quietly, putting her hands on his shoulders. Tears were welling in her eyes. "I...didn't want to do this to you. Toshigo, one of your brothers, suggested it, as much for your safety as mine. One of your personalities is my husband, but the third personality has tried to kill me and destroy your body." SHe took a breath and looked at Sou, dropping her hands from Kai's shoulders. "I promised him that I would not leave him alone. There are only three personalities. This I can guarantee. But I will not leave him alone." She set her jaw and looked at him with fierce, but controlled eyes as she drew herself to her full height.

Hane grabbed onto Asphiel, the teleporting taking her by surprise. She screamed when Asphiel got shot again and turned quickly to see the man. She planted herself between the angel and the man, spreading her arms. Her gossamer wings flaired out, hiding Asphiel from view. "You will stay away from him," Hane said, her voice hard as a hurricane-like wind whipped around her and slammed into the man. Small leaves and twigs got caught in the wind and flew at the man at a speed that would cause cuts if they impacted his skin.

Akeno took the chance with Seiko being distracted to aim a punch at Seiko's head while he was unbalanced with trying to force Tali to the ground. "Back off!!" he growled, pumelling Seiko with his fists instead of the vines. A couple of the vines shuddered as Seiko tried to control them, but too much of Akeno's aura was within them for the control to slip away.

"I don't have brothers, Kaen!" he cried, now being held by the guards, afraid that he might snap and kill someone, but he just cried, looking at her, "I don't have personalities I'm normal and wouldn't hurt no one!" The doctor looked at Kai, a bit surprised at his reaction. He looked at Kaen, "Look, Miss Kitabe, I have to evaluate him and I have to do it alone, then find a medication ideal for Kaito. I would like to know if Toshigo gave him some medicine. I find it strange that in this tight situation he hasn't changed personalities. Guards, take him to my office, please. Tell the nurse to get out the Elder chair." The guards nodded and dragged down Kai to the office. Kai didn't fight back, just looking at Kaen, not really knowing what to say to her, but he did whisper 'why', not knwoing why she was hurting him.

The man jumped back and did a dark shield to protect himself, "Oh, you have a girlfriend? I hope she's just as fast as you!" "Hane? Hane move!!" Asphiel said, covering his face from the wind. The man disappeared and teleported in all direction to strike a shot at her.

Seiko, moved away from Tali to dodge Akeno's punches. Tali watched as the ground kept shaking, and the mountain fell victim of the shaking ground, and rubble burst up, leaving large craks. He looked at Seiko, "I really thought killing me was vengeance..." now he was too tired of Seiko, and all the problems. Seiko moved his ax and prepared himself to strike Akeno when the popping sound came from the ground, and from the side he could see Tali slipping into a newly opened crack on the floor. Seiko smiled as the angel fell. He knew that the ground was moving too much and would probably engulf him. Yes. Die.

"Toshigo did give him some medicine. I...practically had to force feed it to him," she said, trying hard to keep the tears from falling at hearing Kaito's cries. As the guards started dragging him away, Kaen cried out in demonic and ran after them. Another guard tried to grab her, but she shook him off and stopped in front of Kai. "Please forgive me," she said, tears streaming down her face, "but I need you to at least know I didn't want to do this to you." She kissed Kaito softly then looked into his all too familiar eyes, hoping it would be enough to bring back her Kai. She waited for a heartbeat, then took a step back. "I'm not leaving. I'll wait outside if you need me to."

When the man disappeared, Hane smiled softly and closed her eyes. As the first shot rang out, she lost her solid form, the bullet passing harmlessly through her. She turned and flew at him, the wind howling now as she neared him. Hane pulled from the back of her belt a dagger and slashed at the air with it, solid blades of air flying after the man. "Considering I am the wind, I certainly hope I have Swiftwind's speed," she said, using the name she had heard the man call Asphiel.

Akeno heard the pop just as he was about to strike Seiko, then looked towards Tali. "No!" he cried out, forgetting his opponent and dashing towards Tali. He grabbed the angel and tried pulling him up. THe ground shook more and Akeno, off balance with trying to pull up Tali, nearly pitched forward into the pit. He managed to recover and pulled Tali away from the crack, his muscles straining from exhaustion. "Tali, are you alright?" he asked, turning his head to watch Seiko carefully.

Kai's eyes widened. He didn't remember ever being kissed. He looked at her, surprised, his cheeks turning red, giving a nervous chuckle, "You're soft," the guards moved him inside the office. The doctor grabbed a nurse while she passed through the hall, "Hope you're not busy I'm secretary and nurse-less. I need the documents on Toshigo. Plain. Toshigo. I also need some new forms for a patient. I'll ask Miss Kitabe to fill them out. Excuse me now. You may stay, maybe fill out some paper work." he walked into the office and closed the door, guards standing outside just in case. The nurse came back with some papers and gave them to Kaen, "He's in good hands. He's a very good doctor."

Asphiel smiled, "Oh so she's the wind. I've been trying to beat you all my life," he stretched a hand up and the trees ned to the sides to let more light in. "Follow me. I'm the one you want." Asphiel teleported, and it was obvious the man followed him. Asphiel was slower now so could be seen by trained eyes. The man didn't focus his shots on Asphiel, though, but on Hane, "Come out Swiftwind or I'll shoot the girl down!" Asphiel kept moving, not really knowing when to strike. He knew if he got close to him he was going to be seen.

Tali was a bit in shock, but seeing Akeno he couldn't help but smile, "I think I got out of hand, shouldn't have punched the ground so many times." Seiko stared at them, especially at Tali. He remembered what he said in the past. So many years looking for vengeance, and it felt so empty once he fulfilled it. As the mayhem grew he lifted his ax, making his leave by using the last of his demonic aura to create an explosion. Tali held Akeno close, his wings stretching around him to keep him from getting hurt with the shrapnel. "We gotta go! Gah-!!" the ground opened underneath them in a strange form, almost like a mouth.

Kaen wiped at her eyes as she took the paperwork. "I don't doubt that he is, but I..." Kaen shook her head and patted her pocket. "Do you have a pen?" she asked, sitting on the floor a little ways from the office, more from her legs giving out on her. When the nurse handed her one and a clip board, Kaen turned her attention to the papaerwork, occasionally asking the nurse to explain some of the questions to her. The kitsune kept one ear turned towards the office at all times, just in case. She kept seeing Kai's expression after she had kissed him and it made her smile.

"Like that will really work!" Hane yelled diving towards the man and becoming solid at the last minute. She slashed again with her dagger, the wind blades sharper and thicker now that they were at close range. "Keep going Asphiel! I'll be fine!" she called out as she thrust with her dagger. The blade had been made for her long ago by Kaen, when the kitsune realized Hane carried no weapon at all. "I don't care if you use it to spread butter, you have a solid form and I want you safe!" Kaen had said when she gave the dagger and watched as Hane imbued it with wind elements. The dagger fit well in Hane's hand, even as she spun it in her palm to change her grip on it to slash again.

"I think I agree," Akeno said with a lop-sided grin as he held Tali. He felt the demonic aura explosion more than saw it, and held tight to Tali as they started to fall. "Hold on!" he yelled as he formed a portal beneath them so they would fall through it. Unfortunately, Akeno had misjudged the landing area, and the two fell out the other side of the portal into a lake near Asphiel's house. Sputtering to get water out of his mouth, Akeno pushed his wet hair out of his face. "Well, that didn't work out quite right," he grumbled, kicking his legs to keep them afloat.

Asphiel nodded and started moving away, teleporting, of course. Asphiel hated to fly. The man got his by the dagger but moved away to then grab the dagger and tried pulling it away, "You'll be a good specimen as well," he shot twice at Hane and let go, putting more bullets to his gun in midair. He headed towards his real target. He was ordered to bring Swiftwind in. He was one of the true angels, speciments they had never tested before. He started shooting at Asphiel, but he kept dodging them, even though moving like that was hurting the wound in his back, making blod come out, giving out his position in the air.

Tali got out of the water, the second his head was out of the water, his wings moved up and he mad them ruffle in the water, causing water to go everywhere. He coughed twice and wiped his ears, not liking the idea of being wet, "We're alive? Yay!" he wanted to hug Akeno but he knew better than to do so, so he moved slowly to the shore, looking up to see the bombs were still going strong, and the trees were shaking on the shore, "Things aren't stable just yet," then the bombs stopped. After the base got distroyed they had no objective staying there, so they started retreating, "What do we do now, Akeno." he was praying there wasn't a tonguelashing for running away like that.

The first bullet hit Hane, the second one passed through her as she went intangible, both bullets falling out, but the damage was done. Hane cringed in pain, nearly falling before pulling herself together and going after Asphiel. She flew quickly past the man, wrenching her dagger out of his hands as she passed. "That's mine," she growled, then caught up to Asphiel. "Hold on to me. You're losing too much blood," she said, ignoring the fact that a blue stain, the color of her blood, was forming on her shirt. She held out a hand to him, keeping pace with his flying.

Akeno followed Tali to the shore and flopped onto his back, trying to catch his breath. He looked up and noticed the swirling portal was still open, so he closed it with a wave of his hand. After Tali's question, Akeno laid still for a moment, then sat up, shaking his head to get the water off his ears. "What do we do now?" he repeated, then looked at Tali. "For starters, never run away like that again. If he had attacked you while you were trying to break the ground, you wouldn't have had a chance." Akeno had crawled towards Tali and grabbed his wrist, tilting Tali's head up with the other hand to look into his eyes. "I honestly thought I was going to lose you," he said softly, releasing his grip on Tali's wrist and getting to his feet. "We should probably get back. There's no telling which direction they'll evacuate to." He looked towards what used to be the mountain and flicked his tail to get some of the water off. He didn't look back at Tali as he was trying to calm himself from completely yelling at Tali, not that he didn't think the angel would deserve it. "Why did you leave without me?" he asked quietly after a couple minutes.

Asphiel looked at her stunned, especially when he saw that darkness covered them, like a black bubble, "No! a*****e!" he tried making a shield but it was impossible with those bullets. The man was give the order to retreat, but he wasn't going to elave without the proze, so he did the dirtiest trick on the book. The darkness started taking their energy. Asphiel tried his best to summon his lance, but couldn't, "You're wind so get out of here!" the darkness started turning into a gate, so Asphiel tried his best to stay in place.

"Isn't it obvious that I didn't want you to get hurt," he was following Akeno but stopped to fix his hair to ruffle his wings more, "I was going to break the ground and you might've gotten hurt," he kept walking, "I don't regret it. I was just thinking about you. What if you would've died? You were safe away from that mountain," he took off the gauntlets, his hands shaking from all that had happened. He headed to the direction of hte house.

The nurse walked towards Kaen after a while and handed her a note. 'Kaen. I took all the kids to my home. The battle and the house was horrible and had many cassualties. It might've been to much to keep them there. I live in the beach village. Toshigo.' Toshigo also added his phone number, and amessage from Acher, 'Miss you mommy come back home soon with daddy.' written in crayon.

"Honestly, no way in hell," Hane said forcefully, and grabbed Asphiel's arm. She took a deep breath, hoping that she could go intangible with him; she hadn't tried such a thing in a long time. As she disappeared, she looked at Asphiel. He was starting to disappear as well, but the strain of trying to take him with her began to show on Hane's face. "D-damn," Hane gasped before she collapsed, releasing her hold on Asphiel, the angel becoming fully solid again as Hane turned into vapor.

Akeno caught up to Tali and grabbed his arm, pulling the angel around to face him. "What if you had died?" he asked quietly, his face showing the fear he had been trying so hard to hide. "I wanted to make sure I didn't lose you. That's all I been doing. Trying to protect you so that you could survive." Akeno stepped close to Tali and looked down at him, then swiftly kissed him. "Were you really that worried about me?" he asked quietly as he broke the kiss.

Kaen read the note and nodded, smiling at Acher's addition. "Is there a phone somewhere I could borrow?" she asked as she stood up, handing the paperwork back to the nurse. Kaen was shown the way to a pay phone and dialed up Toshigo's number. "Hello? I'm sorry, but does Toshigo live there?" she asked after the other end was picked up.
