Akima nodded and slipped out the main door almost bumping into Hashi's master "S-sorry" she uttered quickly and ran out of his way to the closet where the mens uniforms were kept.

Master Kurota walked in to the room. "What and old shrewish woman." He uttered under his breath. "Whats was that Master?" Hashi inquired. "Nothing my boy, nothing at all. Anyway how are you feeling has young Akima treated your wounds?" "Yes master and she did a fine job. There is still a sting in my shoulder, but it's from the ginger. Makes me wonder how the matchmaker is always so angry with her." "It's simple the matchmaker is a bully, she picks on girls who are wonderful at what they do, and cuts them down to nothing, and then substitutes the good students with her mediocre favorites. Isn't that correct Miss Akima?" The question appeared to be directed at no one until Hashi notice a female shadow on the paper. "He is facing away I had no idea master's hearing was so adept." Hashi mumbled on in his head.

"S-sorry I dint want to interrupt."She bowed and said as she stepped in the room. She stood off to one side clutching a paper wrapped top for Hashi with her head bowed slightly. Her hair was now completely down around her shoulders and face. She waited till she could move closer to deliver the top to the boy then turned and served tea and sweet crackers to them both.

"It's quite all right come in." the old man smiled ushering the young girl into the small room as he was going to step out. "Hashi, I'm going back to the dojo , please return as soon as you can I will need your help with the younger classes." He stepped out and silently walked off. "Is that my shirt." Hashi asked politely.

Akima nodded and peeled back the paper a bit for him to see. "I got a size larger so it wouldn't rub against your shoulder and make the wounds sting any more or tear any stitches. I hope thats ok." She said as she pushed his now re filled cup towards him careful to not splash it about to much.

"Yes thats alright." he smiled and took the cup. "And thank you for your help. I don't believe you you ever gave the matchmaker a reason to be mad at you. Though that is just master and I's opinion." He then sipped heavily on the tea and then reached for a cracker.

Akima looked down and held the plate of crackers for Hashi."I ....I am person of little talent and I am not good at remembering poems. She says thats just the least of my worries that my body is to lean to bear sons my face to full to please a man and my hair to coarse. She says I don't wear my kimonos with pride because if I did they would not wrinkle."

He shrugged. "Ha what would she know about pride and poetry? She is a complete imbecile. The only reason she got the position is because my mother wouldn't take it." He smiled and stood. "No thank you I don't want any crackers, I need to get back to class." He bowed and thanked her making a note to bring her a gift in the morning. "Have a good day and ignore whatever the matchmaker says, it's not true in the least." with that he was gone.

Akima bowed till he was gone then cleaned the room and left to go back to the matchmakers class room.

Later in the evening as Hashi was walking home he stopped at an accessories shop and browsed, looking from shelf to shelf. "I just wish I could find something she would like."

After class Akima made her way home but decided to stop in the acssesorie shop to find something for her mothers birthday. Once inside she spotted Hashi talking to himself down one alse. "You know if people see you talking to yourself they might question your sanity." she said after she made her way down the asle.

He looked up a smile though he was a bit shocked to see her. "Oh . . . Akima, hi there. I didn't see you." He swallowed silently hopping that she didn't realize what he was doing. "How was the rest of your day?"

Akima bowed slighlty." It wet well I was mostly left alone. And yours?" she asked tipping her head to the side a bit.

"It was fine, my wound stopped hurting and I finished my training." He felt re leaved that no questions were asked. "I had to stop off here to pick up a gift for someone. I was just about to leave." He said holding a small box. "Would you like me to walk you home?"

Akima smiled. "Thats nice. Im glad your wound stoped hurting. Anyone who gets somehting from you must be special. Im here looking somehting for my mother so no not unless youd like to stay for a while. Her birthday is in a week or so and I havent had much time to look for anything."
